  • Do you need to Pre-wash? CARPRO Lift is a snow foam that "lifts" dirt and debris off the surface of your ride before you move to your contact wash. This may provide an environment which ensures less chance of wash marring when you come back over it with your mitt and bucket wash.
    CARPRO Lift can also be used as a prep wash to help strip old wax or polymer sealants off your paint in preparation for paint correction or application of new paint protection.
    Today Corey does a quick demo on how to use CARPRO lift and where it excels.

      CARPRO Bug-Out is better against bug guts. CARPRO Retyre is as well but is VERY strong so use with caution if you don't want to damage your coating.

    Hey! Is it okay that I use Lift as a prewash everytime before using Reset for the hand wash? My car has ceramic coating and I use a ceramic spray as a drying aid too. Does lift strip off that added protection the ceramic spray add?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад +2

      Potentially okay.... but I would not. I would use Reset as my pre-wash and my touch wash if I was using it every week BUT if you add a quality ceramic spray topper like Elixir after every wash then it would be ok. Yes, Lift is going to remove at least some of the protection but if you always topping it then that should be ok.

    For stripping off waxes and sealants, what dilution ratios do you use? I know it's a tough question, but you gotta start somewhere. Thx.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад +3

      1:2 for sealants - 1:5 for waxes

    You mentioned that Lift is a snow foam that is used through a foam cannon or foam gun. Is using it with an IK sprayer such as the IK 12 Pro not as affective as through a foam cannon or gun?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад +1

      It will be at least as effective as a foam gun but not as effective as a foam cannon.

    Would descale be better cleaner to remove wax or sealant?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад

      No, a strong concentration of Lift applied and then rubbed with mitt before rinsing will strip sealants better than Descale - or at least most sealants. Sealants that are more sensitive to acids than alkaline will be stripped easier with Descale.

    If my car has a ceramic coating on it can i wash my car with this without stripping it?

  • @Schwabz33
    @Schwabz33 Год назад

    Hey Corey, I’ve been using reset for a couple years now and I always find on my BMWs that are ceramic coated with UK is that reset for whatever reason and I have a pretty expensive pressure washer set up over $1000 investment and I think I’m running 2.1 GPM and I always use correct ratios and I’m also using the same foam cannon you have in your hand..
    Find reset will leave behind white residue on my cars with PPF with expel ultimate and for whatever reason they always leave Behind milky residue, so I never use Reset in a foam cannon

      Thanks for sharing Brian! Thats really odd, first time I have heard of that. Maybe the soap is drying on the surface before it is being fully rinsed - only thing I can imagine could cause that.

    Hi I was wondering why can’t we just use lift for pre wash and also touch wash? It has alot foam and can be lubricant.

    Other detailers have found that Lift works better in lighter dilutions than heavier ones. Do you also have the correct pH for spotless 2.0 and descale on your website because independent tests have shown them to be at 2.2 and 3.5-4 rather than 4 and 6?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Год назад

      What purpose where they using lift? you vary the dilution ratio depending on what you need the product to do. if its just a pre-wash, then perhaps the lighter dilution is better and sufficient. However what if you are trying to remove a wax or weak sealant? A higher dilution ration is needed.
      And to our knowledge and testing we do have accurate information on our website on the pH ratios. We test them here in office as well as with what CARPRO provides to us.
      Where are you getting your tested numbers from? We would love to learn more about what the industry is saying about lift to further the accuracy if there are discrepancies.

      @SkyCarCare Yep correct the lighter dilution was as a pre wash which they found worked better than a heavier one as a pre wash. Also the pH testing of both was from here which is a well respected car detailer in Australia ruclips.net/video/8K9YmAyFmCo/видео.html
      Also thank you for your reply, you're actually one of my favorite detailers on RUclips because I have learnt quite abit more from your videos as a end user than other ones which tend to be moreproduct reviews without the little tips added in 🙂

      It will remove some of it but not all of it unless you use it heavily concentrated, leave it on a long time, and rub it into the surface with a mitt.
