I'm using reset for my car that's protected with immortal ppf, but what is the solution to safely deep cleaning my ppf coated car?. Example scenario if my car is full of plant sap after parking under a tree.
That is really tough with sap... and of course it depends on what kind of sap but PPF is a soft material and you do not want to let that PPF bake into the PPF. You will want to remove the sap before the surface is heated or keep a car cover on the vehicle when you are parking it under sap. To get the sap off that is already on it try CARPRO Reset. Then follow that with a soft microfiber towel and alcohol. Gently remove the sap like this and then begin using the car cover if parking under a sappy tree.
Same opinion here! Not only RESET, all CarPro products are working very well and offer a high quality! So CarPro is my no.1! 🏅 Big THANKS to YOU for all the great videos and big regards from Germany!!😊👍🏻
Guten Morgen (oder Nachmittag für dich), Much appreciation for your comments and viewing! Ich liebe Deutschland! :) Yes, CARPRO knocks it out of the park!
Is there any reason to choose reset (ph neutral) instead of stronger (hi ph) cleaning agent (lift for example) when we wash to prep a car for paint correction and coating?
Yeah that Iron X scent is no joke! 🤣 I really appreciate a good scent and it really makes washing cars a pleasure when the scent is good. Reset is the only soap I use.
I've used a lot of soaps over the past 20 years, and Reset is by far the best. I also feel lucky to have Skys the Limit an hour and a half away from me so I get my orders the next day.
Been thinking about getting the CarPro Reset but i've been confused about some things.... My car isn't coated, sealed or waxed, is it safe to use on the paint? I'm currently using meguiars gold class but I notice some dirt/insects still remain on the paint even after passing a few times with the washmitt, will the carpro reset have an easier time removing that dirt/insects?
Reset will work slightly better for removing those bugs BUT that soap is not a bad soap at all. You should just pick up our yellow bug sponge (read our tips on our web page before using it) and maybe grab some CARPRO Bug-Out and you will be good to go. That bug sponge is amazing.
@@matsudakodo Well, best thing for FAST use and what I use myself in those cases is Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile towel and a bottle of Ultima Waterless Wash.
Carpro products simply work the best. The cleaning power of Reset is noticeably good. I'm not blowing smoke here by saying that. The panels look brighter and remove dirt better. Aqua marine smell from the bucket is better than from the bottle. From the bottle it smells like Germolene ointment from the 1990s, if you live in the UK and from that time period, you'll know what I mean. It's not a bad smell but better diluted. It kind of smells aqua marine scent with a sort of peppery smell. I don't think how an improvement could be made here with product performance. Maybe the smell could be better
Thanks for the background information. I love this soap! I cleans much better than other soaps I have tried. And if it happens to dry out on my (black) car, it is easy to just rinse it off. Other soaps can make a mess if that happens.
Nice and short one Corey...great to know about your involvement in the genesis of the product..Reset is really awesome, very slick and you get a squeaky clean car...I guess all of us happy Reset users are indebted to you...
Thank you so much! Yes- very slick indeed! We thought it would be cool to do this video to record some history. Over the years I've seen so many companies imitate the selling points of Reset in there descriptions and its cool to look back and remember when there were no others that were trying to make such a product. :) Warmest Regards, Corey
I am not sure I understand. When you rinse Reset off with the hose it should rinse off very easily and clean. Can you explain what you mean in detail so I can answer better?
@@SkyCarCare My X7 (large suv) was ceramic coated 2 years ago and I did a maintenance upkeep 1 year ago. I live in Southern California so barely rain and no salt on road. I used Carpro Reset last weekend for the first time and when I was washing it off used as a pre wash, the sheeting had like a cool/cold looking foam to the body panels. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it correctly. But the same look or rinse off doesn't happen when I use Adam's Mega Foam. Does that help explain it?
@@chrisginoc Ahhh yes, I'm sorry - I understand now. Reset has a much higher content of material in it compared to most soaps. In other words most sopas out there are really watered down and Reset is very concentrated. Add to that some of the ingredients and that appearance is the byproduct.
@@SkyCarCare Makes sense. Thank you for the response. Am I ok using Reset on every bi weekly wash on our X7 that's ceramic coated or do you recommend only using Reset every once in a while?
I would absolutely use it every wash. THis is exactly what its designed for is keeping your ceramic coating clean by using it regularly. This is the least aggressive soap in CARPRO lineup. Perfect for a ceramic coating or nano sealant. It would be a bit aggressive for a carnauba wax that was on the week side but perfectly great for all else@@chrisginoc
Its the shipping cost that kills it and the shipping practicality shipping these sizes out on anything but a palette once here. UPS and Fedex seem to have a hard time not breaking these liquids in our limited experience with such sizes. If we could get the prices way down then maybe worth it but beyond the gallon its hard to get the prices much lower due to the costs of shipping to get it here. We have brought it in in 20L a few times but only shipped it out to customers by palette to avoid any damage.
Looks like a great product. However, I will vouch for a thick foam. It's really important to keep the car foamed until we're ready to rinse to prevent anything from drying.
Thanks for the comment and thoughts! For me in Florida, I find we have to keep it wet regardless of how foamy the shampoo is. Each time we rinse the mitt out we hit the car as well to keep it wet till ready to dry.
When you see the powdered wig, you know that it’s a teaching moment and it’s TIME TO LISTEN!💯
Thanks Roger! I had to restrain myself when I saw the image James made for this thumbnail 🤣
Thank you for the history, Reset is such a great soap and I use 99% of the time, the other percent is when i want to try something else. haha
hahah! Great reason! Thank you!

Really great question! No, not really.
@SkyCarCare btw, how long is carpro reset shelf life? If I purchase a galon will it go bad in time?
@@matiusteddyc.856 Eventually yes but it should last up to 5 years. Only if it gets hard and unusable from evaporation is there any issue.

Great feedback! Glad your loving Reset too!
Still the best soap on the market IMO.
Hard to argue with you on that.
Can I dilute Reset in a pump sprayer and use as a rinseless wash?
No, for that you would use Ech2o
can you use reset for the weekly washes?
Absolutely, that is what it is made for.

There’s a reason I’ve got 2 gallons of reset in my garage at any given point in time (and I’m only a weekend warrior). Love reset!

Unless you detail daily, your reset only have a shelf life of few months
