That's what Ferrari wants you to believe. I don't care about the brand and its snotty ass dealers, who are known for treating customers like crap. There are soooo many stories and not a single one of a positive experience. I will never set foot in one of the dealers if I ever win the lottery. I'll drive by in my Lamborghini and laugh at them.

A little OCD on the service. A lot of independent shops are owned by ex/dealer employees. A rear license plate light with an intermittent fault is a bad ground, contacts that have surface rust or a bulb going bad. You don’t have to take it to a dealer for things like this. Any competent mechanic can work on it.

11:38 if the insurance company didn't want to insurance this vehicle, you should change all of our cars to a different insurance company and tell them that it was because they didn't what to insure your Ferrari. Let's see how they feel about that, they will be losing hundreds of dollars a month equivalent to thousands of dollars in years to come. And since they see your channel hopefully they see this comment and realize how much money they will lose if you actually change your insurance and take your money somewhere else... rember this, money talks.

Rookie mistakes: I keep my second car, and all of my motorcycles on battery chargers 24 / 7 / 365. Ya gotta have the space to store it. Check on the insurance cost prior to buying it. Always research prior to buying, what the known historical mechanical issues are. Then determine if you can deal with the issues prior to buying it. And lastly, a professional inspection prior to buying it. You could be buying another person's problems, that they are looking to unload to unsuspecting rookies.

  • @theoriginalrabbithole
    @theoriginalrabbithole 2 года назад +22

Well done!👍 The belief that everything expensive is valuable is absurd. It isn't just Ferrari's either. You look at the majority of Supreme's merchandise and a lot of it is trash and you would think for the price tag you would get something at least well-made and sometimes you do but not always and btw, Jay Leno refuses to buy Ferraris but mostly because he thinks the dealers and the company are a bunch of greedy assholes with no concept of a customer experience. Ferrari just expects you to jump through all these hoops, including sometimes having to buy MULTIPLE lesser models like the Mondial, just to 'qualify' to buy the Ferrari you want AFTER you bribe the dealership. One day Ferrari is going to follow Harley Davidson right into irrelevance and Fiat , Phillip Morris(missionwinnow) and the Italian government won't be there to bail them out again and I'd like to see them gone from Formula 1 especially, no offense to Charles & Carlos. It's corrupt that they get a Veto vote AND an additional $70 Million per season that comes out of the prize pool FIRST for what has been known as 'The Ferrari Payment' since the days of Bernie Ecclestone. Sorry for the rant but this type of dishonesty just bothers me. It's unethical, especially for the money you pay for those cars. Ferrai really does suck in so many ways.

Man people think Ferrari/Lambo/Mclaren and other fast cars are luxury cars for some reason and expect them to be luxurious from the inside since you paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and sometimes millions, these are fast toys that look good and sound good that is it. They are not well made, they are not luxurious like a Bentley or a Rolls Royce, they are impractical and you will struggle driving a lot of them and they breakdown a lot (especially Lambos, the worst car in the category) and their maintaining them/upkeep will cost you a lot of money. Know what you are getting into before getting into it.
+ That Ferrari is from 2009, shouldnt be held to 2021/2022 standards. The best way to buy these cars for fun is just... TO NOT, lease them if you have to and again do not lease a fucking Lambo because there will be a very low mileage limit and there is a high chance you will crash the car hitting a small pothole making you pay from 40 thousand dollars minimum.

Its not or never for the 348. the all analog 348 is the predecessor to the consensus best sports car Ferrari ever made - the 355. the 348 doesn't have the expensive to repair brass value and/or electronic suspension issues the 355 has. the 348 represents Less is More and Older is Easier when it comes to Ferrari Sports cars. Most anyone can work on a 348 on most repairs as while the 348 is not a grocery getter its definitely a daily driver. Also the 348 has a flat plane crank which generates the same F1 exhaust note as Formula one cars use flat plane cranks to lower the weight of the cars. the 348's exhaust note sounds "pissed." at $65k for a 30k mile or less 348 it's now or never before 348s become the air cooled 911s of the Porsche community. You can't lose with a solid 348. Slam dunk. No bigger bang for the buck out there.

So your complaints are that you have five vehicles for your three-car garage, it’s hard to get into the passengers seat and get into the drivers seat, you didn’t know about trickle charging which you’ll see if you watch any five RUclips videos about the 458, the sticky buttons that you’ll know about if you watch those five videos, and that your insurance company won’t insure the Ferrari because you raced it on RUclips.

As a many year Ferrari owner I can't follow most of this.
Hate to say this, most of this is on you not knowing what you got into and not having done your homework. And some of it like the attention, is kind of on you. just go about your day when you park for example.
The battery? Not even sure why the factory supplied charger was not in the car, and the fact that you did not know one was needed, just boggles the mind. That's not even a Ferrari thing. Many cars that are not regularly drive, needs a charger.
The dealer location is what it is. You know that before I hope.
The garage space is on you as well. You bought a car you don't have room for.
You nix winter tyres before even trying. I used my Lusso as my winter daily in Scandinavia. I have ran other cars like this, as a winder car. You assume that you can't, you don't stop and think, then do it.
Sorry man, but so much of this just makes me shake my head.
The CEL for the exhaust? Again, on you not doing the research.

Just the fact the jumping off point for the ferrari is how "grateful" you are for the "opportunity" to own it tells you that Ferrari brand marketing is doing an amazing job...and running cover for some absolutely beautiful shitboxes. I'm kinda dissapointed, I thought the quality of these cars had come up in the last decade to match their insane price.

This video shows that whilst Chandker has lots of money as an absentee landlord, he is not very savey when it comes to looking after his purchases. Being flashy is not an admired trait in Europe.

Ferrari aren’t designed to be driven fast. Everyone I know that owns one is in and out of the garage every year. And pay on average 5 thousand dollars on maintenance.

You're lucky to live in that state. Texas is ridiculous. My parents bought a 4,000 sq ft house and the driveway is over 15 feet long. The garage is 2" too short to hold a standard bed 4 door GMC Canyon. So I can't buy one. I measured several times and went to a dealership to measure the truck. Nope, it won't fit. The door will hit the top of the bed. I hate Texas.

PS: my dad drives a Dodge pickup and it sits outside. There is NO way it will fit the garage.

Well, people can say whatever they want, but I’ll say this; I’ve owned three different Ferrari’s over the years and I’ve never regretted it. It’s the most enjoyable purchase I’ve ever made and I’m certainly not rich.

Hi, I have some questions for you. I want a Ferrari, but based on so many reviews from dissatisfied owners I have second thoughts. What has been the best and most reliable Ferrari you owned? Which model and year etc. How often on average did you have to take them to a garage. And what was the average maintenance cost every 5 years? For me the cost isn't the main issue. I'm naturally lazy and I don't want to take it to a garage "all the time". I want a consistent car that doesn't require a ton of attention to work. Would you recommend a Ferrari or should I go for a more sturdy alternative and go for something like a 911? Also worth mentioning is that the car I buy won't necessarily be the daily driver.

Not sure what you were expecting when you were purchasing this beauty. This is a Ferrari, period. You cannot compare maintenance costs of this car with a normal car. Also, I would never buy a car which has been serviced by a non-Ferrari specialist. Sticky buttons are an issue in hot countries. That being said, I understand your frustration with not having a Ferrari main dealer close by. Best of luck.

Several things...When you are at wide open throttle, why are you playing music over the glorious tone of that engine? Second... having a Ferrari in Idaho is like owning a yacht on a local small fishing lake. No one there to see it which is half the fun. And anyone who does see it is a hayseed who truly cant appreciate the pedigree of the csr. And the fact thst you can't drive it more than 6 months out if the year really sucks. Beautiful car nonetheless...
