Love this video!! It takes me back, nearly 50 years when I was 16 and I used to Northern Soul dancing at the Drill Hall in Lincoln. I’m still dancing but not quite so energetically.
@door2yourheart........This is one of very few videos ever taken of Northern Soul. It was recorded at Wigan Casino in 1977 by Granada TV for their documentary series 'This England'. I was there and it was absolutely horrible. Pure torture for over eight hours - and I couldn't wait for it to end so I could escape back onto the coach and go home.
At 1.46, Joe Donnelan who I worked with at the Navada in Bolton in 1973 for about 18months. Some great laughs and a few close shaves! Anyone know where he is now? I think he lived in Atherton or Leigh
