How Chinese Chefs cook CHICKEN CHOW MEIN 🍜 Mum and Son professional chefs cook

- We have done a few chow mein recipes before, but this one is slightly different, before we showed you how to use poached chicken to make the chow mein, this time, we're showing you how to make it with velveted chicken, we've also made this tutorial far more detail in, where we answer the most common questions we get in chow mein videos that we missed in past recipe videos, like why do my noodles stick? Why do my noodles clump together? The more like takeaway or takeout version is found in our 1st cookbook, this is more like an old school recipe. Hopefully this video will refresh some stuff for you guys who have seen our work before or if you're new, teach you some new techniques to make really tasty noodles at home, and if I'm honest, I do think this version of chicken chow mein is much better than most Chinese takeaways and takeouts out there.
If you want any other dishes, please comment them below, it really does help our channel and the content we make.

I have watched one of your other tutorials for making chicken chow mein and gotten great results. Helps that I got the recommended ingredients from your shop for best results.
thats means alot to hear :)
Ive watched your videos from the start and im embarrassed to say havent commented before - i know it helps you with the algorithm!
These in depth videos are fantastic. Its fine copying a how to step by step, but to get people cooking properly they need the information behind why you do things a certain way.
And yes id love to cook something more authentic 👍
That’s ok :) and it’s not until we make the videos and see the comments we release what we’ve missed, as most of this is second nature to us and don’t even think
Every time I've cooked one of your dishes and followed your instructions, my wife has been amazed at how good it tastes.
Keep up the good work. We love this chow mein recipe, and I don't cook it any other way now.
Velvet, your chicken people! You won't regret it!
So lovely to hear! Thank you 😊

A chef once told me that the most simple dishes are often the most difficult to get right, as there are usually limited ingredients that need perfectly balancing....this recipe underlines this theory; Having just followed your instructions, these few ingredients have produced a 100% perfect Chinese take away chicken chow mein ! Subscribed and looking forward to trying more of your fantastic recipes.
Thank you, means a lot to hear!

Thanks and nice to see you commenting again!
Great video as usual! Thanks for the knowledge, so informative... didn't realise about the sprinkling of the msg over and not direct to the wok👌
yeah its something we do naturally and its not until you hear people ask that you realise that not everyone knows
I know what I’m making this weekend. Boom 👊. Much love ❤️
❤️❤️
Tried this recipe and it turned out a lot better than our local take out very easy recipe to do at home thank you
😊😊😊😊
You and your mother do some wonderful food and as a chef I respect the both of you
Thank you 😊😊
That look's gorgeous thank you both x
😊😊😊
Looks fantastic have to give this a go. Some takeaways serve sloppy noodles which I hate. I love a nice dry chow mein and with that Smokey taste which I now know you get from cooking the noodles properly. Great video thankyou
Thank you so much for the very informative videos, I too would love to know more on velveting meats.
I feel like I just had a master class! ❤
I shall definitely use these tips, even though we plant based eaters, I can use mushrooms and other veg in place of the meat, thank you so much 😊
Yes I would also like to see more authentic traditional Chinese dishes, my partner loves Chinese 😊

Everything was great guys with all the fresh ingredients then you added msg, really,!,
If you add salt, shut the fuck up and sit down
I always love your food, I cook it all the time and my family love it. It's very easy to adapt most of the recipes to Vegan too. Thank you
Thanks for sharing!! and glad we could help!
Looks amazing!

Definitely would like the seasoning video! And traditional Chinese food!

Thank you 😊😊
Been watching your video’s for a long time and they have really helped me improve my Chinese cooking. But this video is even better than your previous chow mien one as it has fantastic detail and great explanations. Thx, please keep them coming 😍👍
Really glad we could help! 😊😊
Excellent tips,Thanks
😊
Yes please velveting and seasoning. Just had to say I've recently made your best version curry paste and my word its tremendous stuff. Im a chef nearly 26 years and love a Chinese takeaway afterwork. I've tried to replicate the curry sauce for years and never got anything like close to the real deal. A massive masive thankyou for that gem of a recipe. For anyone saying it looks a lot of work i beg you just push on and make the damn paste😂. When ever i open my fridge and see that paste I still can't believe i have the "actual" answer to my search for curry heaven🤯

Awesome, informative and looks delicious. Thank you again... :)
Thanks again!
Probably my favourite Saturday morning breakfast
Nice one 👌
Yes! Love that
Mom and son have a beautiful rapport and relationship. I live that mum lets the young son do his thing and supports him and not yakes over like alot of parents do. I love that he defers to her for expert advise and demos. I can that both love cooking and feeding people as well as being together.
I do because people like to see he do stuff, when in reality I’m much faster and my places are higher rated than ones mum ran 😊
