Moving an oversize corn drill through the town.

Today we move the Massey Ferguson 30 seed drill through the town during the lunch time rush hour. We have to get it to some land about an hour away from home base and at 12ft wide it’s a handful in town traffic. #farmer #oversize #tractor #vlog #agri

Believe me doing it at first light makes it a doddle.. we always moved our combine at 04.30 ..
.12 miles, lucky to see 1 car..

That’s what I’ll be doing with the combine it’s harder with the drill though trying to get around a few fields in a day

The lads had a goujon supper getting cold in the car as it was lunchtime.. needed to get back to the station quickly!👌🤣

I seen a drill like yours at a show last year it had the drawbar on the end and two little wheels so the drill could be towed lengthways and they folded up for drilling . Would that have been a homemade job or is it something that massey did ?

That’s something Massey did but it was only available on the next size up from my drill I might look into something like it if I keep having to move longer distances

Took a sower around the same size much the same road as that, from the pole star to raphoe, it wasn't great 😂🙈

I thought they would stop and say hello aswell. Not a lot they could have done though, I had a pilot vehicle and I’m just under the 12ft limit

@TheClassicFarmer I Have a 4m power harrow to go about 6 miles with, most of it dual carriageway, think its going to be a 4am start that morning with a couple of hi viz coats tied on
