- The Massey 390 is in the shed for some much needed tender loving care and I've been sent a special delivery to try out in my tractors. It's been a busy week here I even managed a visit to the spring farm machinery show.

The GPS looks good and has a sensible price point. The 390 started spot on, well worth the effort sorting.
I’m very impressed with the Gps for the price point it’s really good. The 390 should hopefully be a useful tractor now again
Well done lad for all the repairs you did to the 390, it gives you more encouragement when machinery is working the way it should instead of falling into dis repair. We have a 399 with a high line + cab, our back window is identical to yours, when you want to close the bottom window you have to press the glass tight against the seal to get the latch in and press the glass again with one hand to be able to release the catch with the other hand, I never seen a high line cab any different. Get the gps working because already I think you have sold me one for the 185 !
@@madeljacky must be a Dodgey design on masseys part with the window. The gps looks a really good job I’m looking forward to getting it tried out you couldn’t beat it for the money
My 380t back window is the same. It’s just the way they are.

@@paulthompson8467 I wouldn’t class it as that tidy but I guess it must be ok if you think it’s a tidy one. I can’t believe how much they make. I wouldn’t buy one though if I didn’t have this
@TheClassicFarmer I have always liked Massey's and fords bit of a soft spot for Nuffields too would really like a 390 or 398 but just couldn't afford one at the price
Glad to see the rev counter going. The bottom back windown rubber seal looks short to me should go up to the top of the runner each side
@@garrethcraig990 I did try that but the the window doesn’t close at all 🤷♂️ seems like a bad design to me
@TheClassicFarmer it's fairly tight on the 398 my cousin owns Never close the bottom window to be honest anyway keep up the videos craic is mighty 👌

You’re right you did spot a cab not sure if I will fit it or not yet. I like being able to look around

@@TheClassicFarmer the last few old combines we had. They had cabs. Kept dust off ye seat dry and often cutting corn in colder wind as well. Be better with it than without.
@robertedwards2724 I do agree a couple of mile on the road and no matter the day you're perished, no engine infront of you to keep ya warm.
No harm, but CB’s are a waste of time. Should have got yourself 2ways they are the dart. And if you put one on your combine you may get a cab too 😂
@@andrewhall1719 I’ve got 2 way radios. Absolutely useless never charged when you want them always falling on the floor and no useful range. Can beat a cb for keeping it simple.
Oh no, you’re picking me up wrong, you have walkie talkies. 2 way radios are similar to what the taxis use. 15km range, set up similar to your cb, but superior range and sound quality. No silly cb whips either.
@@andrewhall1719 ah yes I know the ones your talking about they still work on the same frequency. Just a lower power output than a cb that’s why the Ariel’s are shorter.
