My 4 year old Chihuahua mix bites my hand (very gently) every time I pet him. If he isn’t biting my hand he’s licking it. It makes it hard to pet him when your hand is in his mouth, or is getting slobbered on.
My pit bull does this as well. Gently chewing on my ☝️ or thumb of the hand I'm scratching or petting with. Tried to trick her using one hand to scratch and one hand on top for her to chew my finger. She didn't fall for it. Lol ❤
my dog play bites my finger all the time, its got to the point I put my finger out like a hook he puts his k9's around my finger and i shake my hand like a handshake, he does this almost every time i put him down lol but he's a little old dachshund and we've been playing like this for years
My dog tries to mimic with her sharp teethed mouth the way I playfully and noisily “nibble kiss” her sweet Schnausie forehead problem is that, if I keep playing with her for any length of time, she turns into a turbo charged zoomer and knocks over anything that a 20 lbs. fuzz face can manage now that she’s over 15 years of age, I avoid getting her into the running and jumping mode because her heart may still be that of a pup but her body is not
Mine comes lays on my lap I'll pet him if I wake him up with sudden movements a fair few times he will get frustrated and go in some other room lol I feel so bad but hey I'm no statue buddy
I don’t get it my dog cry’s and even rubs my hands and all the stuff he normally does when he wants me to pet him but when I do pet him he just attacks me every time. What confuses me the most is that he just started doing this. If anybody has information please let me know I’ve been trying to figure it out
Dogs love their owner more than their own live. So they'll never hurt you. Putting their mouth in your hands or finger isn't a bite, they're just playing. If they accidentally bite you and it hurts just say No and Press your hands deeper to their mouth. It helps me with my Rottweiler
Teaching your dog to have a soft mouth is more important than teaching it not to bite

Chihuahua is the worst breed in history, well that or labradore.
My dog is one years old, he comes to me excited and when I try to pet him he starts biting my hand (not to hurt).

Great information and solutions to prevent biting from becoming harmful.
If me and my dog see eye to eye we can't control ourselves not to wrestle.

Maybe other puppies sleep around 20 hours per day, mine never did. Maybe 10 at the most though usually 7.
