I’m a massive fan of the franchise, so it’s a no-brainier that I’m gonna buy and play it as soon as it releases. Im one of those people who signed the petition addressed to Sega about bringing this to the West.

wow, honestly.. same here. I bought 7 a couple years ago partly because of hearing her talk so passionately about the series, albeit having played Judgment already.
3:00 This right here is what I wish RGG Studios would bring back: a chance for your opponent to counter a Heat action if you fail a prompt or something.
I am super looking forward to this, definitely amongst my most anticipated games of the year. It looks so good!

Its great they are doing this. Perhaps one day they will do a remake of the older Kenzan game which was set it the same period.
I am very excited for this game to come out and hope other iterations of Yakuza games that were only available overseas come out too 😊
Years ago I found a video of Majima/Okita singing samurai karaoke and it's the best thing ever! Can't wait to play this game!
Love how passionate you sound about this game. I just started getting into the yakuza series and have played 0 and like a dragon. Absolutely loved it. I want to eventually play the rest of them but this is a definite pre order for me.

@@mydogeatspuke Right, I guess literally observing the community falls under imagination as well. Regardless, even if they aren’t the same he’s still pretty much just a samurai Majima. Even if he isn’t exactly Majima, people are still gonna get a taste of him in this game.

I'm a huge yakuza fan and I will buy this game for sure. However, I haven't play lost judgment either. Can anybody out there give me a hint on which one should I play first in case I want to save the better for last. Thank you in advance.

My friend is gonna love this... He introduced me to Yakuza 0 and advised me to play them in order...so it'll be a while before I'll possibly get to Ishin....
On a sidenote it's Ghost of Tsushima with the Yakuza spin on it and it's really nice. Hope my friend will one day be able to play Ghost.

I have the Japanese version, so I'm really interested to know what has changed. I was thinking to go back and get the plat, but I might just get this one instead.
Do you mean the original version? Because this is still going to be in Japanese. It's a full remake though, and includes characters from the RGG games that hadn't yet been released.
The version of the game that's coming out next month hasn't been released in Japan either
@Thembill yes, I'm talking about the original release. I loved playing it, but I don't remember it having cards etc. I'm really hopeful for a Kenzan remake.
@@charliemilroy6497 yeah from what I understand it's quite Final fantasy 7 level of remake, but it's a pretty big venture that they put into it
@@charliemilroy6497 The card system is a dungeon feature. You access the dungeons in Shinsengumi HQ, near your save room.

I stumbled upon Yakuza zero on a sale bought it with no knowledge. That was the best decision I ever made. As of rn I own every Yakuza and spin off by RGG studios for my ps4. I love the series and I will definitely be picking this up hopefully the deluxe if I can🙏

Hey Rosie, I'm so excited for this game. I was wondering why did they make Sakomoto Ryoma join the Shinsengumi? Isn't Ryoma one of the proponents that fought against the Shogunate meaning, he would be opposed to the views of the Special Police Force protecting the military government?

Can't wait to play this, one of my anticipated games of the year. I was saddened to find out there's no CE on the U.S., so I went ahead and purchased it straight from Japan & import over here. But definitely pre-ordered it too to get the steelbook and not have to wait 3 weeks for my shipment to arrive post launch.

Ah yes, the Like a Dragon series is well-known for its realistic authenticity... Should be fun all the same!

I'm sad we don't have another way of the samurai but this looks dope and will fill a similar niche I was sort of expecting it to be turn based with it being Like A Dragon
Generally LAD: Ishin is going to be a breath of fresh air compared to playing Y7 which I didn’t finish because the turn based combat just isn’t for me and isn’t what the game should be about hopefully none of the future games have that combat otherwise it’s really going to turn me off
@@noaamonyakuza5 They confirmed the mainline series is gonna keep the turn based shtick, Judgment and other spin-offs (I guess) will keep the classic brawler combat

Holly was the reason I ever tried the Yakuza series. And I'm glad I did because this series has become my favorite hands down. Of any game series. If you've never played a game from them, or even if you have, Like a Dragon: Ishin is a MUST PLAY. I actually got a tear in my eye I was so genuinely happy when it got announced

My excitement for this game might be even twice of Rosie. I saw this game before when it was launched in japanese. Its a shame my japanese is non-existence, but I was even thinking to learn japanese just for this game.

I have only played Kiwami and like a dragon but I LOVE this time period. Can I pick up this game without playing the entire series ?
Yes, it is a spin off game and thus has no connection to any of the main series games other than the fact that the characters are from the Yakuza series, appearance wise obv.

It's an RGG adaptation of the events that led to the Meiji Restoration(IRL Japanese history).

If you've never played any yakuza game do not buy. The irony of goro and kyriu in it won't hit you the way it should. But make sure you get yakuza 0 and both judgement and lost judgement the then hop over to inshin

Only the main games are atm, RGG Studios said that they will have normal fighting system games alongside (after this we are getting Gaiden)

Stand-alone brawler style game, not turn based, and you can play this game without having any knowledge of the series
they changed the title for the series to Like a Dragon to match the Japanese name

You guys aren’t really a valid source for an objective review. Every game you review is always like THE BEST GAME EVER and you guys are always saying “oh my god it’s SO GOOD” regardless of the title.
Not every game is that good. Feels like you all are just getting paid to hype games whenever you “review” them. If so that’s cool. Make your money.

I wish it had English dub. Thankfully the other games have gone back to having an english dub option. It's annoying trying to read subs and watch something cool happening at the same time. Bring on Like s dragon 8.
Why does it look okd
This game is a remake/remaster of one of their older games, so the combat was taken from that and upgraded and polished, kinda modernized and that is probably why it may look old.
If you play Yakuza with English dub you need to be sectioned

The movement looks pretty poor compared to Ghost of Tsushima
The gameplay isn't trying to be extremely realistic, because Ghost is definitely more on the realistic side. The combat of the Yakuza/Like a dragon games was built around fist fighting, so swordsmanship was the never the focus until this game, thus their is not as much depth as Ghost, but that lost depth is found elsewhere imo and each game has it's charms and faults.
Because this is a 9 years old game remade in a new engine, the animations are reused mostly.
Game takes place in feudal Japan = Ghost of Tsushima clone
What does this have to do with Ghost in the first place?
