I’m the most excited for MaXXXine this year! X and Pearl have been some of my favorite films to come out in a long while and I have really high hopes for MaXXXine Definitely only interested in the new Insidious film because I feel like Patrick Wilson will make for an awesome director
Just saw Skinamarink in theatres… definitely a slow burn. be prepared to stare at a lot of cielings and corners, but also it was one of the most terrifying movies i have ever seen in my life. you truly feel like a child lost in the dark. definitely reccomend
Congratulations on your new baby girl, Sarah! 2023 is without a doubt going to be a little different than your normal year. We don't mind any delay in your movie reviews. Review what you want, whenever you want. We'll wait patiently!
Cocaine Bear (Pablo Escabear) is currently housed in a funky store here in Lexington. Everyone around here flipped when the trailer dropped, we love him.
Last Voyage of the Demeter is definitely a horror movie. It's been described as "Alien on a ship," it's based on the passage from the novel that has Dracula feeding on the ship's crew one by one as they sail to London.
yeah, I actually think it could be right up Sarah's alley! lots of water and lots of gloom while the shipmen get picked off, ending with the final victim lashed to the wheel as the Demeter arrives in harbor. it's probably the scariest chapter in Dracula!
Evil Dead Rise is really what we needed as far as a continuation to the trilogy. “Mommy’s with the maggots now” is absolutely a Bruce Campbell-esque one-liner. Definitely my most anticipated horror film this year already. Congratulations on your little one, too!
One question though: 🤔 Based on the eye contacts of the Deadites in the new evil dead, is it actually in the same universe/timeline as the 2013 remake starring Jane Levy? Or completely another Reboot in its own continuity?
I would absolutely love a Scream VI review, since it's my favorite horror franchise. I know it's not yours, but it's always great to hear your thoughts. Also, I'm pretty sure the Salem's Lot movie is supposed to come this year and I'm really excited for that.
There's a new trilogy in the works. All three directed by the same person who directed the new Halloween trilogy. I really enjoyed the new Halloween movies, so I'm really excited to see what they do with The Exorcist.
Another one I'm really excited for is The Deliverance. It's directed by Lee Daniels and it'll be released on Netflix and tells the real life story of a family in Indiana who experienced a demonic possession in 2014. The cast alone has me so excited! Glenn Close, Mo'Nique, Aunjanue Ellis, Caleb McLaughlin, Omar Epps and Andra Day!
WOW you’re back already & it didn’t feel like you were gone at all! I know you prefimed but like YOU ALSO HAD A WHOLE BABY I love that so much for you!!
I cannot wait to see Skinamarink! I just know it's going to scare me. I'm so glad you added it to this list because I forgot the name of it and I was trying to search "dark house with whispering kids" lol
I would love to see a review for Knock At The Cabin, Skinamarink, Snow Falls, Scream VI, Last Voyage and Cuckoo. Those are the one's I'm most excited for! Plus, all of the original Horror we are getting is so exciting.
You don't need a review for Skinamarink, just watch the trailer. That's it! That's all! If you like experimental art(more experimental/less art) and don't get bored easily, go on. I wouldn't recommend this torture to anybody. I made it till the end because I was desperately hoping that something will happen, something will change but...no. I spent more than an hour watching doors, floors, ceilings, toys, the feet of two children all in blue colour and listening to sounds. They spoke once or twice I think 😁 Not terrifying, but terrible. Sorry. It was really bad
@@heatheraggus7501 of course this is my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it but I wouldn't also prevent someone watching it. I am just saying that I found it pointless and awful. Watch it to agree or disagree, but don't tell me that I didn't warn you 😂
@@Sofia.k80 haha! I just like the idea of people supporting it simply because it is such an independent low budget movie. Lemme tell you, as a romantic era gothic nerd the fact that the most underrated character in Dracula is getting his own movie makes me so unbelievably happy. The OG vampire twink for the win 🎉
i’m super excited for maXXXine! mia goth said in an interview that maxxxine was the best script out of all three X-universe movies and i can’t wait to see more of that character. as a dracula fan the last voyage of demeter sounds super cool, i would love if they really honed in on the historical aspects of the story mixed with the dread and eerie- ness of being stuck on a ship with a vampire, similar to how the terror was.
I'm excited for Renfield and Evil Dead Rise! One funny, one horrifying. Basically Evil Dead from the 2013 film on is not the goofy universe, that continued with Ash vs Evil Dead tv series.

I mean it's coming out on peacock next Friday but "Sick" just made the top of my list from the trailer yesterday. I believe its written and produced by KEVIN WILLIAMSON! It's been described as a 90 minute chase scene, and girl I love me a good chase scene.
I am excited about Cocaine Bear. The true story is much less interesting. Basically, some drug smugglers threw a few duffel bags full of coke out of a plane. They found the bear dead about 100 yards away from a chewed up duffel bag, so they suspect the bear are the bag of cocaine, went,”THIS IS AWESOME!!!” And sprinted as fast as it could for a few seconds before it died of an overdose.
