Jimmy Wilkins is a legend
Big love ❤️ thanks for the great show!!
Thank you!!!!
@@thenineclub your welcome guys!! Thank you Jimmy.
It’s amazing how much talent/ability he has for growing up in Ohio. Growing up here with little to nothing to skate - especially with vert. It’s honestly mind blowing. Great episode!
I used to skate with Jimmy every day back in the early 2k's at the flow, which was one of the biggest indoor parks, he was just a kid but he could shred, he was always chill about everything, at the time none of us thought vert was really a big deal, we all did a little transition, but he was basically a wizard on the big ramps. Pumped to see him make it out of columbus.
Yeah dude, so dope that you used to skate w him! Dude is the truth
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
Superb!! The connection between him and Chris Miller makes so much sense. Thanks again Nine Club !!
This dude is so chill and humble. Hard to not be a fan of him after watching this.
Stoked to hear Jimmy talking about Ollies. I miss that place so much. I was skating there at that same time period. Don’t remember him specifically but I’m sure we would have crossed paths at some point. Love to see Ohio skaters making it happen.
Used to make the trip every 2 weeks growing up in Illinois lol 😂
All we have now is session’s, I refuse to call it local and it’s just not the same. I always wondered how that place survived as long as it did, massive.
@@purplereigninblood welp sessions is gone now too
Wow, I had no idea Jimmy was on real super sick, Jimmy use to destroy the local parks in Ohio and North KY! So sick to hear Roger shout out Ollie's RIP.
Jimmy = Buster Halterman + Chris Miller + Himself = The most stylish vert skater of all time.
Wow buster haltermann, that is a deep cut, I always have thought Chris Miller style is the best, better than holmes even. Jimmy Wilkins is absolutely on that level imo
Nailed it. Jimmy is the vert slayer, smoothest style around and his ollies- fs bs or fkn 540 kf are all-time next level epic. And a super chill dude.. faark what a legend.
spot on
remember jimmy being a young kid at our local park and seeing the transition from jumping boxes to airing quarters, then coming out to woodward and seeing him get into vert more and more. was cool to watch, good shit homie
The Flow?
I knew he skated vert, didnt know he actually had hands tho.
Very nice convo guys and what a humble dude!
Knew little of Jimmy Wilkins from X games. Glad to have sat through this weeks episode & take in what this dudes all about. Liked his backstory/upbringing!
Got to see jimmy skate this winter... Pretty incredible to see that in person he floats and is so silky
Rodney told antwuan that the key is to make it look like you aren't trying, to be so relaxed that it is all you know. Jimmy Wilkins absolutely personifies that
thanks guys for Making my Monday better getting over Flu/covid been sick over a week already and a Torn meniscus in my Right knee
MUCH LOVE FROM SOUTH AFRICA ❤️🇿🇦🛹🤘🏻
I just noticed the nice little mason jar sitting behind DUBs on the shelf, looks like some nice tasty vegetation in that jar
And that's just the middle shelf!!

Best vert skater alive! Great podcast
I grew up skating Ollies and looking up to Jimmy and helped tear down the park when it closed. RIP 😢❤, Thanks Jimmy

In that note , we need.more.rog
them talking about tonys loop is so fucking gnarly man.
Sooooo gnarly maaaaaaannn
his smile is made of light!
Congratulations Jimmy much deserved.
Can Crob describe the particular smell?
Farking such a rad dude, top shit lads...
Gotta get Navarrette on!
Columbus OH reppin 💪
Sick ep👌🏼Jimmy’s the man! Didn’t know a whole lot about him before this. Sussed all his parts now, he’s an Animal!💯🙌🏼💯Was cool hearing Lincoln Ueda’s name brought me back to 411 Europe 1997 Lincoln flying around in the rafters
Jimmy is so fun to watch. Yewwww
1:47:45 Jimmy Wilkins Pro shoe confirmed.
Jimmy Wilkins LFG 🔥🍻 dudes gnarly
Mark Norman was a serious treat
That Keegan story was amazing. Great bet.
Mini ramp would be an interesting event.. both sides would be stacked and would allow for a great drafting process for countries.
I’m quite certain you talked about more than just the switch flip manny link in this episode, in fact I don’t think it was brought up at all, it’s great though obviously keep it included. However, one suggestion would be to put actual links to things you talked about in this episode in the description section above such as Jimmy’s parts, the Huck Jam, the vert legend contest in Salt Lake, loop fiascos, various mega ramps etc., it would not only provide context, but also spread the wealth around as those relevant RUclips links get more shine. Stop n Chat is great because you have the guest commenting on actual content displayed on the screen, but you don’t even have to go that far. A link would suffice.
Anyway. All the best, keep up the top-notch work.!
2nd'd
dope. super dope. ... Crobster was firing off the nuggets! "he's a rollerblader" , "too quick" / "it's whack" (olympics hoo ha) hahahaha ... Crob, Wilkins, and all y'all need to watch the movie Planet Terror by Robert Rodriguez. Funny ass horror classic that Brought Brolin back in a big way. The music Rodriguez made for that has some gems that would go well with skate parts and you know he'd give a fair deal on it's use. lol
Ollies was a sick park. It was huge. It had a long run but it's gone now.
The ramp surfaces were so slick (unless mopped) I used to say it was like ice skating.
Jimmy is a Legend !
Toe side pinstripe gang.
Such a nice interview! WHEN are you guys finally going to get Rune Glifberg on!!!?
so much know in this episode im gonna watch it again fo sho
Jimmy filmed one of my first sponsor me videos, I used to skate with him from time to time when we where younger it’s so bad ass to see where he went with skating, when I heard he had won x games, and rode for creature I was so stoked, would love to run into him again. Much love from your cincy homie Weston
Great interview! Thanks guys!
"Old man with pads" hahahahahahahahaha
tell jimmy to get max on nine club!
Much love from Kentucky/ Cincinnati area talking about Ollie's skatepark is cool , the girl chocolate team came through ans skated here was nuts. thanks 9club
Just listened to the last experience and jimmy was brought up. So pumped for this to be the follow up. 🤌🏻
First time I’ve heard some say about tearing your PCL when trying to kneeslide. Happened to me. I tried to slide but landed in the flat and the pads didnt slide at all and tore my PCL.
Also happened to me rolling in on a vert ramp at age 18 and padded knee hit the flat. The Dr. said "You will never skateboard again", I still skate at 49 years old.
I was hoping for this after seeing him on Mitchie's podcast! 💚
He is completely right about the ramp at Ollie's. I used to live out there basically and all I ever seen was a drop in and a slight 50-50. I used to feel so bad because it got no love and was looked at as a waste of space.
The over vert was pretty scary, you are right, it was just there, Eli would rip from time to time I would catch him and the young girl ripper on Toy Machine killed it as well.
@@purplereigninblood it was for sure you stand at the top it you would see it lol im also talkin roughly 20 years ago now before they even had that bowl/mini ramp thing off to the side
It was fun to use the bottom as a manny pad lol
I skated flatground with Jimmy at the skatepark in Oceanside. That man’s got serious pop.
Dope episode 🔥
Yo fam in the Midwest we literally drive an hour just to get to a good skatepark. Shits wild. This why I’m trying to open my own indoor park.
dang 180 nose grind is my favorite trick !
Love Robs response on “to quick” bullshit #1000
Also, everyone should go watch Thrashin’, I watched it again after decades in between viewings and it is surprisingly awesome and much less of a cheesy cornball movie from what I recalled despite the wrist guards turned around in the marketing material.!
Cabriolet is Hungarian for "fast car"
Faaaantastic! Great episode! vert4lyphe!
Jimmy... you were amazing in Grind.
Shoutout Ollie's Skatepark
What a rad guy.
Been waiting on this one
