Ken Block Has a place in so many people’s hearts outside the ones who knew him. Rest In Peace to the legend and all condolences to his family.❤
i just saw a shirt from his company that said "just dont die".
Heavy but necessary opening. RIP Ken. When I saw the news tears just started falling uncontrollably. Thanks for everything you gave us, you were an incredible man.
Very sad
More so, surreal
Thank you both, especially Ellis for sharing his connection and emotions with Ken
He knew you were good people. Nothing but love for You and the entire Block family and extended family❤❤❤
I love how much different this interview was vs. his Nine Club one, just for being very skaters vs. street skaters.
I know the None Club dudes appreciate vert skating, but you guys actually knowing first hand how crazy what he does actually is makes a difference!
so much love for jason in this intro!
RIP KEN BLOCK
weve truly lost a legend. A pioneer of modern day motorsport. Our generations top dog. My condolences to his family and friends.
and thank you Ken for all the smiles per miles you’ve shared with the world over all these years.
RIP
Ken Block pushed the popularity and acceptance of so many people and industries! Thanks for everything you have given us mr. Block! My heart goes out to his Wife, kids, family and friends!
Man I can hear the pain in Jasons voice rip ken block. Hang in there
So much respect for Ken!🥺 You were spot on......he lived a thousand lives!💙
On a happier note.......I wanna see Jimmy on a skate ramp version of a full size snowboard half pipe!!🤘
Ken Block was one of the most influential people of the last few decades!… His story is so unique, and the things he’s changed in both skateboarding and car culture is INSANE!!!!
This is where I first heard what happened and I’m still struggling to really understand it. Guys that are able to appear so much larger than life yet so down to earth at the same time are so incredibly rare. I have a lot of memories of watching and enjoying what Ken did with total amazement. What a tremendous and heartbreaking loss for so many people and communities that he was so passionately involved in. I hope his family can someday take some amount of peace in knowing that he passed doing something he loved and with people he loved and I doubt he would have had it any other way. RIP 43.
RIP Ken. I'm still not over his passing an absolute role model and legend who never stopped pushing the limits. Loved the stories the guys had about him. This episode went from sadness and reflection to pure joy the only complaint I have is it wasn't longer Jimmy is such a kind spirit and absolute ripper. The level of stoke Tony and Jason had while talking to him was infectious! What a fuckin podcast! Loved it! Shout out to the HvW crew for starting off each week with a roller coaster of emotions! I'll say it again I love this podcast! Like and Describe people!
Just hearing these two talk about Ken Block made me feel that he will never be forgotten.
Another GOAT has left the building.
We can only aspire to leave in the same way Ken Block did.
With a sense of fulfillment.
I remember seeing Jimmy at our local indoor called The Flow in Columbus. He would skate the bmx side of the park with the biggest wheels. Legend
Left a tribute on the 9 club, Rip Ken. Thanks for getting Jimmy on! I know this was a rough one boys!! Seeing Jimmy in person made me realize that I should set down and watch. Thanks Tony I had heard stories about what had been done on the over vert but only saw you at the Birdhouse demo. Appreciate it.
#43 RIP..... LEGENDS NEVER DIE!
Jimmy ❤️🔥 & rest easy KB💗
Tony and Jason talking to Jimmy Wilkins reminds me of that skit with Chris Farley talking to Paul McCartney.
Just wow!! Thank you for this! Been waiting for this one! Jimmy is a Vert Beast!! God he rips!
You guys! Again, another great show! Your tribute to Ken was very nice and heartfelt. Thank you!
I spent a lot of time at ollie's! That was my local I am from northern Kentucky it's super sick that he is from there I'm sure I've seen him at some point, I wish I had known! It's closed now! I'm so bummed! I don't have any other close indoor parks around here. It blows during the winter.... R.I.P Ken Block
🖤🛹🤙✌
Thank you for sharing your stories and experiences with Ken.
Imagine how surreal it would be to have Tony Hawk sincerely tell you that you’re the GOAT on Vert. That would be nuts. So rad ❤
its been a tough week . l lost a close friend on the 22nd Dec and layed him to rest on the 4th, thoughts of condolence to all affected by Kens passing x
Thank you guys for affirming the legend
My condolences to the Hawk and Ellis families , and to all those who knew KB .
Amazing talk. Jimmy is great. Keep up guys!
How is Tony’s leg? Any news!? RIP KB thank you for everything xoxo
Love you guys, nice to hear the Ken Block stories. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for this podcast. I've watched Jimmy skate and it has boggled the mind. I'm glad you guys asked questions that I would have wanted to ask--like how do you do simple front side ollies how you do them. Craaaaazy. So many good questions about vert skating in here.
I need to see these tricks man.I just always go back to future primitive & animal chin....just to enjoy the rad jazz man😋😎
Ken was a beautiful soul and an insperation to so many people. The world lost an amazing person. I feel for his family, especially his kids. R.i.p. Hoonigod!
Rip Ken! 😢😢
amazing episode 👏👏👏 n after a real hard intro #ripken ❤🇦🇺
Thank you for the intro. When I heard Ken passed, I immediately searched for it on RUclips and found very underwhelming videos. THIS is what i was trying to explain to my wife 😆
Ken is sorely missed. He gave back so much to the many communities he was in. Can't believe it's actually real he's gone so young.
Beautiful tribute KB4F❤
Was hoping to hear about the leg tony, Hope news was good!
Great words about Ken. On a brighter note. Did Tony say he was thinking of a trick when he gets back! Sounds like the surgery was a success. Hell yeah.
Sorry for your loss fellas.
Jimmy is so good
R.I.P - KEN
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN ❤️
thanks for the episode guys
Much Love
❤️🛹🇿🇦
Brilliant podcast😊
Been waiting for this one!
It’s amazing to see Tony as a fanboy :)
Team Pelvis member........ until I did it myself didn't realise how many skaters can get knackered this way.
Did you try it? Yeah. Then I thought it can’t be done 🤣🤣🤣
BIG HUGS Jas love yah bro ,be strong cobba....🖤🖤
Nothing better than getting into the weeds on vert. If anything, I need an episode with bob where Tony asks him about the one off tricks that can never be replicated. Fakie 5-0 fakie flip on the extension bar comes to mind
KB 43VER!! RIP a legend!!
R.I.P Ken Block my heart goes out to the family.
Jimmy's ollies are alien. Tony was pressing him for technical info and he skirted the details.
RIP to a real one!
If you like going fast and that feeling of control through obstacles you should check out fpv drones!
I grind mine and do flip tricks it's so much fun.
I just want to throw Chris Livingston in here. He's one of the alltime greats
Thanks for all the positive comments on KB.
RIP #43
Ken Block will truly be missed, Truly a Righteous Dude that changed the snowboard world with the dc mtn lab! Life is Short and you never know when the Reaper will come so live life!
The old Blockhead mini ramp had a lower deck to let the coping stick out. Not sure how I remember that 🤔
Rip KEN
Whats up with the wedding cake mold behind Wolf??The red one??

Tom Green - " You guy know Jimmy?"
I didn't know Ken Block was such a big deal in the extreme sports world, I knew he was like the most popular rally driver in the world and I learned after his death cofounder of DC Shoes, but I didn't know he was good friends with Ellis(and Tony) and apparently took some part in many of the extreme sports disciplines and motorsports.
Would love to see mike v on that would be sick.
11:06 actual start of episode
What trendy nught club are they in?! Jk, that pink window is a trip
RIP ken
Dude, Jackie Chan would be an awesome guest!
11 minutes in rest in peace to the legend,,.
But on the attempt of trying to take my mind off of it I could not help but notice that is this camera unlevel?
R.I.P Ken block
Literally had to turn off to go watch some of he tricks JW was talking about. I watched Ellis at Prahran doing unimable tricks during the 90s and literally had to commend him for not trying to say "That's what I used to do." If anyone has an idea how JE commanded a ramp, maybe even thinking about miller and jesse as reference points to their ability to make logistical nightmares beautiful, they might understand why I bothered to mention it. When JE skated vert, there was no way you couldn't be impressed. And it was loud. #bulky .. but no one in Australia was more stylish. I wish ppl made mention of it more. 50/50% Miller/hosoi, 15% Jesse, and 10000% JE. As I said .. I never saw anyone command a ramp in my life as much. I just missed the 89/90 Ramp Riot II in person but JE can claim so many rights in SB that occasionally he hints to - yet he was so influential in Australian/world vert skating. When witnessing him being honest, I'm Sure many ppl think he's boasting. The local he mentions is Prahran ramp and its Metal. Supposedly 9' t w/ 1'vert but in many places didn't go to vert. Understanding what Hosoi, Miller, Jessee did on that ramp is impossible to comprehend unlesss you skated it or heard of its oddness first hand. Gary Valentine did 6ft madonnas to hang up. JE did at least 5ft fs Ollies to late hangup smash. Owe him that for giving me the intrigue to know it was possible. At one point, Tas and Ben Pappas were better than anyone skating vert. USA kinda changed that and you won't hear it unless you watch their doco. What JE leaves out does himself and Aussie vert skaters a disservice. On Dogtown, Chris Paine. Stylish as fuck. Renton Millar, way younger but is still high level to this day. From 14 to 48 he's been almost at the top of the game. If you love vert, check their moves out. You'll see. Great interview, hard to imagine it gets worse. So psyched on vert today.
I had a droors shirt I bought from ccs
Max Schaff Please!!!!
DROORS… ITS YOURS
Ive been getting pissed off with all these shitty hollow compilations going around its nice to hear from people who actually knew Ken. Sad sad news.

RIP Ken Block
I can't believe these guys are talking slappy's.
gason, tony, i really like you guys and i bingewatched all the episodes, absolutely loved and love it, but in my opinion the niceness of the episodes dropped a bit…dont know what it is, maybe because you guys focus more on the patreon shits, i just wanted to let you guys know how i feel…and yes, i know they probably will never see this comment and they dont give a fuck….i hope it goes up again, like i said i really like it❤
@@lostlamb2021 no hate just my opinion and im not interested enough for a ptreon subscription….i dont have money to wipe my ass with….
