- It's early morning and we're getting fueled up for our day, we get a good solid breakfast in us and make some plans for the ride. We drive over to the south trail head to where we begin our journey on two wheels. We get the bikes dialed in, get the gear we need, and head off into the wild; Split rock wilds. Enjoy the series!

For sure Kirk, we’ll have to get up here this year, I have a feeling you’ll crush a lot of moves up here.

Yea Kris, It took me awhile to warm up to this place but now it keeps me wanting to come back. I think at first it was a challenge for me to ride all this broken rock especially on the Fade to Blue trail. I’d say if you come out here, just head north on the Mail Rout hit some stuff on the North end then come back on the Mail rout. Hope you enjoy, now it’s a decision on which bike you should take..?
I love Split Rock Wilds! Spent a few days at Cove Point and rode up the hill to the trails each day. So difficult, yet so much fun!
Yea, that place worked out great, I imagine it’d be ideal to to just bike straight from the hotel if you’re riding it for a couple of days. Really digging this place more and more. Have a good riding season!
Loved the Berg sesh. Didn’t see that alternate line when we rode it. Though SplitRock is teeming with alternate lines so it makes sense I guess. I need more Spirit, Duluth and SRW weekends this year. Great vid as usual and liked the backing track as well. Looking forward to episode 2 of your and Evan’s adventure 🦫
Sam, no doubt; Let’s get after some good trail this year. It gets a bit more spicy in the next episode; We hit up a zone you’ve never seen. But yea Split rock keeps getting pushed higher on my list of Minnesota trails.

Ranger! That’s awesome! The place is incredible and has some real spicy moves in there. Do you ride it at all, if so, do you have a favorite zone?
@Dialed1 sorry, just saw this now, I ride it all the time!! No real favorite just depends on my mood for the day, I am a fan of castle cream. Glad ya like tge trails, maybe I'll see ya out there!

Thanks brother, I’ve been working on episode 2 and have it almost ready to go! Thinking of releasing it in the next day or two if I can put the final touches on it tonight.

Man, I love this format. Especially for a place like Splitrock. The whole adventure and exploration of it all! Scoping lines and feeling things out. Gives a feeling of being apart of it. Stoked to see the rest!

@Dialed in a must for me to get acquainted with Duluth for sure. A list... Redhead, Jackpot. B list Tioga, Hixon, Giants, Hayward. Variables...ALL.

@@Dialed1 Still not cleared to ride again. I'm hoping to be riding within the next month because I totally feel up to it and I have plans to be flying to Oregon to ride in June. I would really like to be back in shape by then. Thanks for asking!

Thanks! A lot of editing on this first one for sure and only got one big feature in it, lol.. Yea, that pesky GoPro effect. Yea man me too, stoked to get back out here! You have any specific moves/lines you wanna try to go after out here? I think I still have one or two to check off.
I definitely went went the wrong way last year, started in beaver bay, hit up neovison, over cove, well worth it, to fade the blue. Basically crushed my soul and felt like i was going uphill on all the fun rocky decents. Planning on redemption again this summer.
Haha, That’s how I felt when I first rode this trail, except I started at the main SplitRock lot down Fade to Blue. Fade to Blue is brutal, hard to get any momentum on that one either direction I feel like. I’ve been enjoying starting at Splitrock down The Mail Rout and hit OTM and or Well worth it and can even come back on the Mail rout which I think works better North to South. It’s a pretty grueling place no mater where you start. But I’ve been less crushed utilizing The mail rout.
How I wish I could have joined you guys for this ride instead of being stuck on the couch for months recovering from ankle surgery…you’re absolutely right, this place does look exactly like my type of riding. Split Rock Wilds is going to be heavy in the ride rotation this season, looking forward to conquering some rock slabs and tech with you there!

Way to get after it, great natural lines! You could spend so much time at SRW, finding and riding all sorts of new lines. This place is such a gem. Can’t wait for episode 2!
Rob, no doubt; The additional little lines littered throughout is the cherry on top for me. It’s a rad spot and a great place to progress your tech riding. I plan on getting up here and Jackpot at least once this year. Maybe more, the north shore is just awesome!

Dialed In coming back with straight fire! Always a treat to sip on a few cups of coffee and watch a Dialed In production. Can’t wait to see the next episode. Looks like things are gonna escalate. Amazing trails. That roll would look right at home in BC. Stoked to see MN getting even better. Can’t wait to make it back that way to ride some of that stuff 🔥

Is it better to drive we’re you guys did or can you get there from going across the rode and up the hill?
Where we started is the only place I’ve ever parked and it works out well; You do need a park pass though.
Also, I don’t think there’s a closer way to the trail.
