My goal was to cut out the little pothole since that’s not smoothing out anyone’s ride down it. And actually wasn’t necessarily trying to Nollie it either, it’s just what made sense at the time I guess. But yea, there’s not a ton of transition at the bottom as you know so It’s a bit sniper. This is the only data point I have on it so I don’t know how safe and predictable this move is..

Damn, that’s strange, not sure what that could be. All the bearing spacers are in? I don’t have this bike anymore but the fun folds over at Transition are usually helpful. Have you called them yet?

Really appreciate you checking this one out. I spent a ton of time editing this “extended play” film, haha. It may be the prettiest ride I’ve ever done. They only run the mountain biking on this island for a portion of the year, I think it’s around spring time so make sure to check dates if you head out there. It’s well worth the experience if you do make it out. I’d like to get back here myself but I live in MN so it’s a big trip. But Bellingham in itself has more than enough trail to keep someone happy for years! Where are you coming from? I hope you make it out there, Cheers!

Thanks Rob! The bike has been a fun build and continuous work in progress but I’ll probably keep this one for awhile (I tend to go through bikes pretty quick). That case was scary AF! Glad I saved it, had a couple scary moments like that this year. The place is rad, I know you’ll dig it! That north shore run is the jam, so fun and unique to this area. Hope all is well brother.

Yea, hope you can shred this zone at some point. That north shore trail is excellent! The jump trail is right up there too. So much good work done at this spot. Rad it’ll be finally open to the public. I think I’m sold on at least the Maxxgrip for the front but I might just do EXO+ for the mostly trail bike.

Absolutely Andrew, you’ll have a blast no doubt! Lots of different trails and some I didn’t uncover here like the pro line that looks bonkers. But I must say I really like the wood dock run and the jump trail out here.

It really is, It’s got a lot for me to work towards.. Once the proline is uncovered that will be the ultimate goal.. The jumps on that thing are massive.

@@Randy_Johnson Haha, yea, Matt crushed it! Some days I’m just not feeling skinny’s.. Especially if the odds are not in my favor; I’ve smashed a couple derailleurs now and so my approach has dialed back a bit, 😂

@@Dialed1 I get it! Some days it just doesn’t feel right. I’ve learned to bail a couple of different ways to protect me and my bike. I try and bail to the right of the skinny if possible. My issue is that I try to hang on as long as possible to complete the skinny and at the last second, bail. Sometimes it’s too late.

@@Randy_Johnson you’re committed! Yea, I think you need that commitment with some skinny’s and also a good bailing technique.

Good to be back on the bike! I’m stoked they’re opening this place up, you’ll have to go see it in person to really appreciate. My favorite trail right now might be the suspended dock line. So unique and fun to ride!
