- Strap up your boots for Rukavina's Revenge. This trail humbles us with some of It's damn near imposible gaps. To be fair this trail needed a little maintenence this day but we make the best of it and attempt to send it anyways.
Episode 5 also brings us to the final episode of this season, watch to the end for highlights from the next season scheduled to drop soon!

You know it Rob, that’s a large part of the fun for me, to conquer transitions, trails.. I think you might be geared similarly. Splitrock was a blast, I’m stoked to start putting these together.. Many firsts for us out there as we pushed our comfort zone.. Split-rock is the real deal as you know!
I've never not cased that Rukavina's gap, even when it was new, hahaha! Nice teaser the splitrock videos. Looking forward to it.
Yea Kris, that one keeps trying me. I’ve barely snuck by on a past attempt but yea, so much speed is required around that turn and then a bag full of pop is needed to boost that thing, It’s like a perfect storm sort of feature; It’d be rad to have a Tombstone floater worked into this to keep its shape! It would still be consistent with the rest of the trail. Definitely excited to get the “season 2” Splitrock videos put together and out there!

Never enough. Got to cuyuna mid Sept. Loved it. Did about 60 miles over 3 days. Wish I lived closer
Rough day at Rukavina! I think the tough spring in the iron range didnt help with overall maintenance. Love that outtro music! Stoked for for season 2!
Rukavina’s revenge tends to have this effect on me.. I’m always humbled after riding this trail. True, It definitely needed a little love to ride better. I’m stoked for season 2 as well, there’s allot of interesting footage here.. Glad you dug the outtro tune, I produced that one believe it or not.
Lol. Such a frustrating trail in spots. The floaters always seemed to work well but it looks like you were even having issues with those that day. The erosion is real. I think Rukavina’s Revenge needs a remastered director’s cut. SplitRock trailer was sick! Can’t wait to check that, or those, one(s) out! 🤙🏼
It sure is, we’ve been frustrated on this one even when it was running fast. I think it could be a winner, it just needs a slight tune up. Split-rock is gonna be wild! Coming soon!
A weird trail to put it nicely😅 It was tough keeping speed for all of this. Haha you wanted that trail gap sooo bad!
Lol, just crushing the ego here. It did need some tuning up for sure, If given the opportunity I’d like to put in some work on this one, for starters, get a tombstone floater installed on that trail gap. Then I bet if the rest of it had faster smoother run-ins, it’d hit like butter. I think it was just in rough shape this day..

The Rukavina road gap remains undefeated, we tried our best last visit here but I was still casing it, maybe the lip needs more meat 🥩 Split Rock Wilds looks incredible, Dark Ice soundtrack and epic looking terrain that I haven’t seen. Can’t believe I never made it out there when it’s only 75 minutes from Hibbing!
Haha, A nice tombstone floater here would be ideal. You nailed the soundtrack! Next year it’s on for SplitRock wilds, I think you’ll make many visits here next year, and I will try to make as many as I can!
Nice riding boys! Rukavina's Revenge is quite an interesting trail..."Like, I don't know what this is all about" sums it up pretty well 😂 Not really enough speed for the stuff you want to hit. Hyped for the SRW video!
Thanks Kirk, yea I usually come away from this trail with the feeling like: Is it me or is it the trail? I think the trail could be tuned in a bit to hit everything good. Maybe It’s by design to be hard as hell to clean 🤷♂️. Yea dude I’m stoked to get the Split Rock vids out!

Not being able to clear jumps at trail speed, always makes me grumpy. lol

Glad I’m not alone here. I think with some minor tweaks the trail could ride better. I’m not the type that needs to be able to coast into stuff and clear but I don’t like to be on the edge of washing out just to clear a little gap.
@@Dialed1 I love being able to coast before a jump. I hate having to peddle in corners and right before a jump. I always fear the pedal strike. At 51, it gets in my head a lot more these days.
@@DailyNeighborhoodRide Without a doubt, the elusive peddle strike, comes without warning.. I hear ya on that, it’s always a freaky moment when it does happen. And yea, some setup time before a jump is always a safer situation.
the section that blurred through at about 4:30, is that the one that has some jumps that are basically uphill?
Exactly, I think we just totally tanked that section, It was really hard to keep any momentum with how beat up the trail was this day.
