going medieval with lasers
Hi, I'm just looking for a laser which will engrave AND cut leather ( up to 4mm ) . Do you thing this will be the right one for me?
any recommendations on settings to use with leather? it looks like you used the 3mm basswood settings for your test print
I do a lot of playing around honestly. I need to figure out some custom settings that I just lock right in, but slow and hot for cuts seems to be the thing at 20w for most leather.
I am so interested in you using the WeCreat with leather. I have read that chrome tan should not be cut with lasers. I am not sure what the difference is.
I had read that as well honestly. But I also found an article recently that it's no longer an issue, and that the product used in those leathers no longer is. But don't take my word on it. On top of that, if you're venting it safely it wouldn't matter anyways I imagine.
This looks very interesting. Shame I already have an engraver.
