@@papss1950 how many Fender's have you played? I owned 5 (USA standard and deluxe models) and played at least 1000 strats. Among them only 2 were really nice. Unfortunately quality control of Fender is terrible. Even guitars has same specifications other than serial numbers produced in the same year sounds drastically different. Jeff Beck and Clapton don't do shopping like we do. We are consumers who can't have the privilege of custom shops or master builders of Fender. Our resources are very limited comparing to them. They can have a constant quality control. We can't. So stop giving extreme examples like Clapton or Beck. I like Fender of course, when I found mine I was OK after hundreds of guitars but not every Fender built equally. Now I really can't find another strat feels the same or better. So I'll buy a PRS which have a constant quality.

You're right about many of your points. Quality control over any mass produced item always seems to suffer. I was merely trying to make the point that there are so many companies that copy the strat foundation that Leo Fender had come up with one of the best designs for electric guitar ever. And I personally am grateful to his genius. Have a great day & God Bless!

It’s all about business and sales… lefty players that need lefty guitars are rare, maybe just 1/10th or regular business, so it’s hard to focus production ressources for small markets. PRS is not a big company such Fender or Gibson, even if they are very popular.

@@Spidouz Not really true mate, Suhr and Anderson are far smaller than PRS and offer lefties, Also Chapman, Schecter Ibanez BC Rich ESP and G&L among many others offer lefties that are built in the same factories as PRS models that are not offered in a lefty option. It's down to Paul

Controversial: Out of all the unbelievable slide guitarists, Bolinger picks Bonnie Raitt for the tone description...we can at least pick a more modern slider, right?
