Hello Chai and Ilona great video Luang Prabang night market looks amazing lots of yummy food. Looking forward to seeing more of Luang Prabang take care
Thanks Sue 🙏🏼 it so nice over here :). Ilona and I are staying here for another few nights before we’re heading back to Thailand again :) have a love day 🤗cheers🏆
Thanks champ! Haha it’s nice to just stroll around the market eat some food. I’m not really into shopping but we had to get a few things:) thanks again mate 🤗
Most Lao understand Thai cause they can get Thai TV reception living just across the Mekhong River. Thai TV is more entertaining than the "communist" Lao TV which has a lot fewer channels to view. That many Lao understand Thai doesn't mean that they can speak it also. This comes from mostly listening to Thai spoken on Thai TV (within Lao) rather than talking back to their TV in Thai! The Lao that often travel to Thailand to buy stuff however will often be able to speak Thai. Note that when I say "Thai" i'm talking about the central dialect taught in all schools in Thailand and spoken in, and around Bangkok. Lao language itself is closely related to the Thailand Northeastern dialect (Isarn) but the writing system has some differences but is very similar.
Hello Chai&Ilona, you made my day happy ! Thanks 💕🌸 great evening video. I love Laos and Luang Prabang, i am excited and looking forward to your experiences roaming around ! you are always full of positivity and energy and your food tours is bringing back some super taste in my mouth, Laos has good food !✌👍best wishes, see you both !
❤️ that’s so nice to hear! You’ve know idea 😍 glad we can make your day a little better! Haha yes indeed Laos good is good and we’ve got to taste some flavors we never tasted before 😃 see you in the next on 🙏🏼 cheers!🏆
I luv Laos. I live in PhoSai (working in Poland right now) I’m not to far from Laos been a few times. Many trips planned. I own my pickup so I can drive it back and forth between Thailand and Laos.
Yes mate in Laos the can speak a little Thai cause it is somewhat the same, some words have different meanings as you learned on the trip 😉 i thought it was somewhat the same as Thailand with food, markets and very friendly people, we ate a lot what we already know from Isan, and the best is that Isan dialect was easy to use in Laos, at least my Thai wife had it easy with talking 😊 How did you manage to get the cash, did you use a ATM? i did but they charged a huge amount extra for a transaction and a lot off machines didn't take my Mastercard back then. I hope visa works better, well happy to hear your experience with that 😏 Kaw Soi Laos, i missed it back then and i doesn't look the same at all. Thanks for sharing that with us 🙏 P.S. what Ilona does with the tasting and adding herbs and spices after is what my wife does 🤫 And as always, C Ya two in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻
Nice night out there at that market. You and Ilona are excelling with these food promotions champ. Gary the Roaming Cook would be impressed with your work. Enjoyed this video. Have fun and stay safe :)
@@Chai_Travel Did you watch Paddy Doyle's live Q & A last night. He was asked which other content creators he followed and he gave you a big rap amongst others and said that you helped cheer him up during some down moments of his with your bright chirpy personality doing what you do. He briefly mentioned your interviews that you do in the North of Thailand and mentioned you were currently in Laos travelling and uploading videos. He also mentioned Gary the Roaming Cook and Will and Jose (another of my favourites) I thought that was really nice :)
@Chai Travel well it's documented in news reporting and undercover investigations. Basically wouldn't buy anything believing it's made where they say it is unless you go to the source. I honestly don't see the appeal of the night markets hammered in like sardines with loads of people and there are aaybe 5 versions of stalls selling the same stuff. Don't mean to be negative but every sm person goes off on them like it's the best place to eat and shop. They are in my experience no cheaper than eating in peace at a restaurant and a tourist trap.
Isan is laos, not tailand , until 1893 , until france was divided dy the mekong border!!! The left side of the isan (laos) moved to tailand (until 1893, tailand fumigated laos ( royal milion elephants)) , and the right side of the mekong laos(france)

Haha thanks for the tips and yes the ATM charge like 50 euros on a sum of 450 so it’s definitely not cheap to take cash out 😅
Good Video Champ. Looks delicious. Sounds a bit like Asian style Spaghetti Bolognese.
Thanks Andrew 😁 we tasted a bit of bolognese in the soup! Have a good one and hope until the next!
Nice night out there at that market. You and Ilona are excelling with these food promotions champ. Gary the Roaming Cook would be impressed with your work. Enjoyed this video. Have fun and stay safe :)

Aw thanks! So I’ve heard from someone else ❤️ what a champ he is. And you as well for telling me 🙏🏼🏆 I feel fortunate to have you on board 🤗
I was there last week, loved it!
It’s such a magical place, isn’t it?
@@Chai_Travel God yes.
We need both of you to say “let’s go let’s go let’s go”
Maybe in the next one champ 😜
where was the food hall with the many street food ? and the music ?
its not in the nightmarket
It use to be at the start of the night market (every night) Biggest nights are in the weekends
Forget the kao lao lao, who does that magical, sensual voice over!?
HAhaha very sensual voice right? Doesn’t she sound like a very good friend to you? 😜 cheers
@@Chai_Travel Haha yes! Thought I heard it before somewhere...
Always good content bedankt 🙏👍😁
Thanks EVM 🏆 glad you enjoyed this one as well. Thanks for commenting 🤗 cheers! En groetjes terug natuurlijk 😃
That’s rice sheet paper rolled and fried , it is Vietnamese influenced.
Funny we bought the same bb dress 3 years ago in Khao Lak (3$).
Haha nice one! It was just too cute not to buy it 😝 I get why you bought it as well 😆
Can you tell me how much the shirts were in USD.
I forgot. Maybe 3 dollars?
What is better, the morning market or the night market in Luang Prabang?
Night market is bigger. The morning market is very lively 😊
We basically use coconuts for dessert 🍮
I love a good coconut ice cream with peanuts and condensed milk🍨 😍
Pretty much you talking into the camera and eating food. The market should be the main attraction as the title suggests.
Yo, this is definitely not your type of channel 🙏🏼 sorry
Sadly some of the cluster bomb jewellery is fake. Pretty disappointing
I see. I'm sorry about your bad experience

Hello you to hi Chai ,where your girl friend from, she is so beautiful 😍
Hi Peggy 😊 that’s so nice of you. I totally agree with you 🥰 she’s have Thai half Dutch/Caribbean. Where are you from?
Thank you Chai, I’m from Thailand but I live in the USA

WTF
I don’t know what to say about this. Vientiane TV.
