Love Luang Prabang, which I've called home for the last decade. The only thing is about the alms ceremony of the morning being overrun by a lot of tourists - this is a little sad, but only in the heritage area. The ceremony happens all over town in many locations and is an important part of Lao culture. Love your appreciation of such a beautiful part of the world, where tourism provides income to so many.
I love the way you guys think critically about the tourism you're engaging in and show up in a really meaningful way. Also your itineraries are awesome. You've really inspired me to change my trip around. All the best :)
I love the gratitude that you both continue to have for all of the amazing places and people that you’re seeing. 💗 Edit: I so appreciate how you both experience new places. You aren’t focused on doing the most touristy things. Your focus is people/culture, nature, architecture, history, food, and coffee 😉 same for my husband and I when we travel. I know it can’t always be sunshine and rainbows traveling full time. But you can just tell from your videos how genuinely kind and eager to learn you both are. So excited to see the next adventure!!
Hi Hailey, first off we are really sorry the late response, its been a busy few weeks. Thank you so much for your extremely kind words, it really means so much to both of us
Hi there! We saved a bunch staying with our parents during the pandemic, Devons a teacher and I’m an engineer that went into Sales. We travel on a budget and work with companies by creating videos for the experience, we use points on flights and hotels when it’s worth it and stay with friends and family when we can. We’ve made a little from RUclips and with sponsors while travelling, and Devon still does some part time online student assistance. We are not yet net zero but are hoping to be in a year! Hope this helps! We plan on making a video of our finances down the road. Thanks for watching! 😊
Went there about 20 years ago, watching this to see if it is still the same, trying to persuade my mrs. to go there with me, but Taiwanese won't like Laos much I don't think
