Here's a little interesting fact. A majority of the Team bosses run Crobat on their teams, a Pokemon that only evolves via friendship. In Black and White 2 Ghetsis's Hydreigon actually runs Frustration, a move that increases in power the more the Pokémon HATES its trainer.
Fun Fact: Ghetsis is even scarier in the manga. He captures Unova's gym leaders and hangs them on crosses outside the Pokemon League (they later escape) and he threatens to flat out burn Black alive with a Volcarona so no one will learn the N was defeated.
And he wears a completely calm-looking smile while doing all of that. What a psychopath. In the Black 2 and White 2 chapter, he says he'd rather die than being arrested, and when N tries to save him from falling from a great height, Ghetsis beats him to a bloody pulp with his cane and calls N a freak.
@@Dreamyzas Colress isn't much better. While in the games, he's just in Team Plasma to basically get research funding, and is searching to find out what brings out the true potential in Pokémon, in the manga, he fully believes control is the answer. He also acts like child, giggling with laughter whenever he enjoys something and throwing tantrums whenever something doesn't go the way he wants it to go. And while game Colress never attempts to hurt the player and even helps them, in the manga, he's perfectly fine with freezing the protagonists solid and having them thrown into the sea. Oh, and unlike in the games, where Team Plasma freezes only Opelucid City to get the DNA Splicers, in the manga, they freeze over *most of Unova's cities and towns* just for the heck of it. And if you're thinking about his role in Alola, he technically doesn't have it in the manga. He technically did create the Beast Balls, but as he's arrested at the end of the Unova saga, the "Colress" appearing in Alola is actually just a Unova protagonist in disguise. So yeah. Colress in the manga gets done super dirty. Speaking of the person who arrested him: one of the Black 2 & White 2 protagonists is a boy born without emotions. He only understands the difference between right and wrong because he was taught it from a young age by the International Police when they adopted him. He's so overly flawless that he's Looker's *superior* and has the nickname "Mr. Perfect". And the juicy bit? The leader of the International Police even taught him that it's not only okay, but even *encouraged* to *violate the human rights* if it was necessary to arrest criminals. And not just the rights of the criminals, but *civilians too!* Jeez, this manga is messed up...
People often say Team Plasma was lame. They wanted to "liberate" Pokemon, but really just wanted to run Unova. Yaaawn. Did you forget what actually happened? This man right here was a genius! He almost succeeded in tricking an entire region into releasing all of their Pokemon so he could rule as the unchallenged king. He lied to his son and manipulated him into acquiring the legendary Pokemon to insure his victory. He was truly a monster who cared nothing for others. Plus his signature Pokemon has frustration. How's that for a villain you Crobat using leaders?
+Smashfan258 You forget, he also attempted to IMPALE your character in BW2, and tried to kill N after Zekrom was captured, but your character stepped up. Censorship took those amazing lines away D:
I think Gethsis is Darkrai from Explorers of Sky. The same thing that turned the player character from human to pokemon happens to darkrai. So what if the reverse happened? What if Gethsis woke up with amnesia, but his evil personally fo darkrai shows though?
Here is an big incredible fact. Ghetsis theme is a variation of Arceus theme with his own name repeated a few times. This speaks about the god complex this character has.
Los Kokuendos de Zoch and he has the power to back it, in usum it confirms that without the main characters all the villains would have won, and ghetsis even tortures N to death and manipulates Giovanni who becomes a dimension hopping mini god, so he can back up his god complex unlike most
One thing I feel like people don't mention about Ghetsis is that you only fight him *once*. Every major villain in the other games, by the time you're at the final battle with them, you've already beaten them once or twice, so there can't be all that much tension in your final battle with them; you've beaten them before, you just need to do it again. But Ghetsis only comes out to fight you at the very end. The gym leaders, the elite four, even the champion are all down below, occupied or defeated, and now you have to fight the mastermind behind everything, for the first and last time.
Vatredox me, I had heard that hydriegon could potentially one shot your entire team an full health, so the fact that most of my Pokémon were at 50%, and with hydriegons speed advantage, I thought I was doomed, which begs the question, how did we get healed
This is literally the One-Winged Angel of Pokemon Ghetsis is literally the embodiment of fear, has a theme song that involves chanting his name and a missing body part, he’s the Pokemon equivalent of Sephiroth
This goes for all Rainbow Rocket Team Leaders. Their Pokémon are all kept in Master Balls. This includes Lysandre’s Gyrados which he apparently had a strong bond with being able to mega evolve it(I’m going off the logic the game tells you, not the actual thing. In normal gameplay you can mega evolve a Pokémon seconds after catching it)
@@Clarinet.dommy1 imo thats pretty lame The player should be able to make a bond before been able to mega evolve like max friendship or some thing after all its the bond that makes a Pokemon evolve beyond evolution
@@Clarinet.dommy1 The whole bonding to Mega Evolve thing is unbelievably dumb. It has no gameplay reflection, evil maniac villains who don't care about their Pokemon can do it no problem, and the Pokedex goes out of it's way to describe how horrific and painful Mega evolving is for the Pokemon. It goes on about how it makes them aggressive and disfigures their body or whatever, Garchomp's arms get melted and Glalie gets it's jaw broken, why would something so harmful and unnatural require a bond or anything? Yeah your Glalie gotta love you before you can dislocate it's jaw to make it stronger. I swear those Mega Evolution guys in that tower from X and Y were full of it, they were just trying to make their regional gimmick look less fucked.
The Sun and Moon mega evolutions were written because one guy in GameFreak hated megas and wanted to make them look worse. It’s very likely that the Pokédex entries describe what happens if you try to mega evolve without the strong bond - it works, but there are consequences. I’m of the mindset that a wild Pokémon can potentially mega evolve even without a trainer (as shown in the mewtwo movie) and THAT’S when the problems start occurring.
When the battle started i was like: " (Looking at my team) Ok, guys. If we lost, we die. DON'T FAIL". If my Serperior wouldn't have been fast enough, when all of my other Pokemons fainted, my character would have been dead.
@@GiadaX02 I know that maybe sounds a bit silly and like creepypasta stuff, but imagine if the game rly did something like that. The battle ends, you see all the characters standing there as you normally would before the battle started, there is no music and the screen is slowly turning black. Then appears a textbox that just says "...You lost". And then the game ends and you then have to load your last savepoint. (I would say you just have to start a new game but wanted to make it a bit more realistic)
@@tragossoboy6700 i bet they thought something like that when they were doing this game... but they just decided to not put it, because they realized it would have been too much for the very young players. Anyway, i was thinking to an alternative way to put something like this: when you lost the screen simply turns black, right? Well, one creepy "lost creepy" could be simply something like this: you lost against Ghetsis, the screen turns black slower than the other times... and then the title screen appears as if you decided to come back to it.
I don't think Ghetsis was going to betray N (remember, Ghetsis needed N to be his puppet so he could control Unova without having to catch Reshiram or Zekrom). However, just in case something were to go wrong with his plan and N were to become a problem for him, Ghetsis had this strong team, which was most likely trained by force (remember, the Hydreigon hates Ghetsis so much it even had Frustration) so he could beat N.
Dude i was like 10 when i played black and i really liked n from the start and when in team plasma castle he told how he manipulated N i straight up sweared and my family is religious and my mom gave me the scariest death stare.
I actually like dragon types the most so seeing some random pixie able to obliterate a hydra was very annoying to me, btw hydreigon is my ace in full 6 dragon team
+TheToastedWaffle That's cute...you think Ghetsis _isn't_ Satan. Well okay, in context, he isn't. In the Pokeworld, the real Satan is -Whitney- Giratina.
In context, I seriously felt sorry for his Hydreigon to have an owner so abusive and shitty that it results in a max-powered Frustration. That's the kind of abusive ownership that results in dogs with traumatic trust issues, and applying that to a three-headed dragon is disturbing.
Yet another piece of Ghestis trivia: His name’s etymology derives to “G-Cis” (which is also his name in the german version.) in music, the relationship between notes G and Cis/C# is called a tritone: a musical interval generally associated with evil. To support this, listen to this exact theme. The timpanis at the beginning play G and C# specifically to set an ominous tone while musically symbolizing Ghestis evil nature.
Literally Gen 5 is the best generation in every category. It's so good and complete. I hope Nintendo doesn't touch them for the Switch or my disappointment will be immeasurable and my day will be ruined
@@wankawanka3053 Bruh designs were good though. Ice cream, literal pigeon, and trash pokemon are actually kinda cool. Blame Gen 1 for bad designs. It's got a pile of muck, a ball, eggs, and a lot are basically just animals.
me running into deino before the elite 4: i love you and i will cherish you. me 5 hours later sweeping ghetsis with an overleveled hydreigon: begone foul man
Me on my like 3rd attempt fighting him: *Successfully phases out his Hydreigon to his Seismitoad via Samurott's Dragon Tail (yes, Samurott can learn Dragon Tail)* *Gets his Seismitoad into Full Restore range, then sends in severely underleveled Tranquill, Ghetsis uses Full Restore on Seismitoad, Tranqill uses Feather Dance on Seismitoad, then gets sacked* *Sends out Haxorus, proceeds to set up Dragon Dances and Swords Dances while healing with Hyper Potions* "Against all the evil that Ghetsis can conjure...all the wickedness that Team Plasma can produce...we will send unto them, only you...RIP AND TEAR. UNTIL IT IS DONE." *Haxorus proceeds to obliterate the remainder of Ghetsis' team, at one point hitting itself in confusion due to Outrages obliterating Hydreigon and Bouffalant, but his Cofagrigus missed Will-O-Wisp, so one last Crunch, Ghetsis is finished* Fun fact: My Haxorus lived on exactly 1 HP after hitting itself in confusion due to Outrages obliterating Hydreigon and Bouffalant
Fun fact time Ghetsis is the only evil team leader that fights you with a full team. In White 2 and Black 2, he actually becomes the only trainer to fight you with 7 Pokemon, first fighting you with Kyurem, then fighting you immediately with his team of 6. EDIT spelling
This man is by far THE BEST Pokemon villan. He was literally going to kill you if you lost the battle to him! His theme really shows how menacing and controlling he is. Jesus I had a mini heart attack when he wanted to battle after the fact that I just finished the Pokemon league but thankfully somehow... My Pokemon were healed.
@@nockradqkdak7992 If you lose to ghetsis you just appear back in the poke center in the pokemon league, and there's a grunt that you can talk to, toteleport back to the castle and try again.
Ghetsis definitely has the most "endgame" feeling boss music out of the pokemon villains. Some of the other themes are good, but his really feels like that Unova is completely lost if he beats you.
It's all part of a theory due to Hydreigon having Frustration in his moveset in B2W2, a move that is stronger the lower a Pokemon's happiness which Hydreigon just happens to have the losest possible. People think that Ghetsis abused Hydreigon to make it evolve way earlier than it should and after evolving it went berserk and ripped of Ghetsis' arm which is why we never see it
@@thewholehorse7140 Likely not ripped off, but badly burned. We see in the opening cinematic Ghetsis crowning N as the king of Team Plasma, where his missing arm is black as he raises the crown.
@@Cdoggle, There was this other theory I heard about how Ghetsis may have already came into contact with Kyurem even before the events of BW and to use the DNA Splicers had been his plan from the start but after attempting to capture Kyurem it attacked and froze his arm completely, which is why it's black since it is heavily frost bitten. But after he failed to capture Kyurem he decided to go for Reshiram/Zekrom first and then bring that back to subdue and capture Kyurem that way instead
Obviously Hydreigon is countered by Fairy types, in 1v1. In a 6v6 battle, you need some specific things to stop a Hydreigon rampage. Stealth Rock support and Speed control via Sticky Web only make things worse. For example, a Life Orb Hydreigon can 2HKO Sylveon on the switch with Flash Cannon. A non Life Orb one can do the same, if it has used Focus Energy and holds a Scope Lens to guarantee the crit. This Hydreigon can also 2HKO Eviolite Chansey with Superpower, OHKO Kartana with Draco Meteor, and score some other impressive kills.
When I played Black it was on a Randomiser, so as you might imagine, all the buildup to the fight, and then this awesome epic music... ... Were kind of undercut when he led with Cleffa.
But... how can you not be scared of the almighty Cleffa, he chose it for it's AMAZING power! ...In all seriousness that is funny as hell, tell me he had an Azurill too.
Sam MacDhubh Actually, he didn't. Ghetsis' other Pokemon were Flareon, Seismitoad, Noctowl, Clamperl and Dusknoir. So really, his team wasn't that bad, especially considering what the Elite Four's teams looked like in the same game. The Cleffa got OHKO'd by my Leafeon (best Leafeon ever, btw. He had Bad Dreams and learned Spore around level 40.)
Aaa H still strong checks to dragon types, but I agree it definitely nearly shut down fighting types. At least they checked Dragon and Dark types, but they also gave Metal types a rise.
This theme song is the prime example of "Not even your newly captured legendary can save you" **edit** I will say when I first heard this song (I was like 9 or 10 when this game first came out) I didn’t like it as much. But overtime my mental taste buds have gotten better and now this theme terrifies me. Shows how psychotic ghetsis is.
Everybody's joking about how ghetsis' hydreigon is underlevelled, but honestly, thank god... Imagine him sending out a level 64 in the end battle. Actually, I don't want to imagine that.
Me : Laughing with my intense Zekrom training of killing thousands and thousands Heatmor and finished the game with a Zekrom level 93 (I even found a shiny Heatmor)
@@strylon2277 You can't grind your Zekrom to fight Ghetsis, you're forced to fight him right after you get it with no breaks. Leveling up a Zekrom would only help you in the post game, where you can't fight Ghetsis. Unless you traded or whatever.
*You are challenged by Team Plasma Ghetsis!* *Team Plasma Ghetsis sent out Hydreigon!* *No! There’s no running from a trainer battle!* *No! There’s no running from a trainer battle!* *No! There’s no running from a trainer battle!* *No! There’s no running from a trainer battle!* *No! There’s no running from a trainer battle!* Welp, you tried
Another reason why Black and White are the best games in the series: You don't fight the Champion to win, you fight the evil team boss to win. Not only that, but Ghetsis is by far harder than every other Champion save Cynthia.
Still Ghetsis is far harder than Red. I veat Red easy with a level 70 team. All you need to do is outspeed that Pikachu and have a strong physical attacker like Gyarados or Machamp and the battle is done. The Kanto starters cant really be called STRONG
I genuinely felt threatened - as if my life was in danger - as a small child during this part of the playthrough. The storylining, the art, the music... WOW. They did such an amazing job at portraying a TRULY rotten villain.
One detail a lot of people don’t notice is that Ghetsis’ Hydreigon can counter N’s ENTIRE TEAM. Think about how evil that is. He not only manipulated his son, but he made sure that his son wouldn’t be able to win if he chose to fight back.
And correct me if I'm thinking of another character, but doesn't Ghetsis' Hydreigon use the move Frustration, which increases in power the more the Pokemon HATES it's trainer?
It took me power leveling a Scrafty to beat his Hydragon. Turns out instead of EV training it to be a speedy boy it turns out I made him a physical and Special defense tank. Still one shot it with High Jump Kick.

I like how B/W has the squares in their title of black and white, almost like a chessboard. This also links back to "black and white" with the chess theme. All the time in the game you know N is king of Team Plasma, so almost like in chess, taking down N is like taking down the king, and you've won. But when Ghetsis comes along, he reveals that all this time, while N has been the "king", he is no more than one of his pawns. It's almost like a game of chess fighting team plasma. It's probably a coincidence, but I noticed it.
@@vanessachowjiaying4423 I mean, shades of morality was a concept way before Code Geass, but yeah, we can go with that, too. In this game's case, I'm pretty sure it's about N's view of "Good" and "Evil" -- owning pokemon is "Evil" and having pokemon in the wild is "Good." No middle ground. It's Black and White to him. But the game is about challenging such views and making people realize that things aren't so 'Black and White' in reality. There is, as you say, a lot of different layers of morality.
@@krystallinekris The protagonists of both stories (BW and BW2), despite being from different times, stick to their own convictions and paths . Their conviction is the co-existance of both humanity and pokemon, not having their free will and rights being taken away by force. Both sides have the right to choose their own paths; pokemon chose to follow their trainers and trainers chose to be by their pokemon's side. Ghetsis had no right to take away those choices to fuel his god-complex of complete control.
Ghetsis. Oh man, Ghetstis. The man who wants to rule everything that can be ruled. The man who tortures and abuses Pokemon to force them to be stronger. The man who's main uses Frustration, a move that gets stronger the more the Pokemon HATES its trainer. The man who doesn't even love his son and only sees him as a tool to gain more Legendary Pokemon to achieve his goals. The man who isn't afraid to threaten and even KILL a child to win. The man who built his team to body his own son's team to prevent him from fighting back. The man that makes every other Pokemon villain look like the most friendly people, even Cyrus. The man...that isn't even human. He is the true monster of the Pokemon world. And there is no low that Ghetsis won't stoop to, even if it only achieves a small victory. He has no heart, he has no remorse, he has no regrets. Only rage and a goal to rule over humans and Pokemon. Ghetsis is a man to truly fear.
I’ve always loved how threatening this song is. A minute and a half of nothing but pounding percussion, then the song cuts out, then an ethereal choir starts chanting his name. That’s next level, especially for a Pokémon game
+Jardakk Bonemaster My team was consisted of Haxorus, Serperior, Krookodile, Chandelure and Archeops my first time through. His hydreigon outsped everything on my team and needless to say i was swept off the face of the earth.
You hear this theme and you just *feel* the evil. Imagine trying to face him immediately after you've beaten N, without having had your Pokemon healed, when you'd be running on fumes with nothing left in the tank. Imagine trying to face a full team picked and trained for the purpose of taking out N's team, headed by a pseudo-legendary with ridiculous special attack stats that can sweep you in just one hit. Imagine it.
This was the most intense final fight in the series for me, nothing even comes close. This guy was seriously going to destroy everything if you lost. And this music is legitimately terrifying and threatening for a Pokémon game
@@jacet4607 i just lost to him xD but nothing happens you just get to try again. Since I've accepted that my current team can't beat him I decided to stop and pretend my character died (until I get the motivation to train)
Battling Ghetsis as a kid felt so damn grande. I'll never forget that experience, the first time I fought Ghetsis. Man, I love Gen 5 so much, the best stories and games in all of Pokémon.
Lawyer: Pardon me, mr Ghetsis, but I’m on a conference call with a mr groudon, kyogre, rayquaza, and the almighty Arceus. They’re filing a class action lawsuit against you for serial theft of drums.
vsco girl Woah, slow down here. They said she COULD be worse, not that they wanted to make her worse. Also, I agree. At least Lusamine once loved her children, and continues to do so after Sun and Moon. Only time she really was an extremely bad person was when she was with Nihilego. Plus, technically, Lillie and Gladion stole her Pokemon, so she’s provoked either way. Ghetsis, however, is way worse. He knew exactly what he was doing with N, an innocent person who loved Pokémon. Yet he still lied and brainwashed him into being the King of Team Plasma. He’s also mentally insane, a sore loser, and a psychopath. In B2W2, he attempted to kill N and the player with Kyerum. In USUM, he threatened to kill Lillie if the player didn’t put down his Pokeball, and things could have ended in disaster if it wasn’t for Colress. He’s a terrible person and a bad father. Lusamine definitely could have been worse
Either way, I hope lusamine is behind bars for life. Whether she shaped up or not, she needs a punishment. I also hope Ghetsis got a big punishment. Hopefully the Shadow Triad have been captured.
It's been pointed out tons of times but i'll still say it, Not only is his team infernally difficult to beat...But it was literally designed to have a tremendous type AND stat advantage over N's Final team, Ghetsis KNEW he couldn't have N manipulated forever, and he was ready to take his Pokemon by force. That's fucking horrifying. (Hydreigon for example, has a higher base speed stat than Reshiram/Zekrom. and we know that firsthand if we sent our dragon out against him.)
The funny thing is,n's archeops has dragon claw, and could kill the hydreigon with it if its a high roll, other than that ghetsis prob will sweep N and kill him after he won
@@AxisChurchDevotee Yeah, Ghetsis was ready to take the hard route, and he would of easily crushed everyone into submission or death if it wasn't for Hilbert/Hilda.
I love this theme, because it perfectly fits Ghetsis as a character. All other Pokèmon villains have been rather simplistic in their villainy, being motivated by greed, ambition or loneliness. Ghetsis is the only villain where all those motivations qualify. His absolutely despicable nature is also something that's quite unique to him. His abusive relationship with N, and his demonization of humans relations with Pokèmon made him for more than a simple crook, he was an absolute monster. And man, do I love him for it. Hoping we'll see some truly demonic villains like him again in some future game!
Dobadobadooo I am absolutely perfect! I AM PERFECTION! I am the perfect ruler for a perfect new world! - ghetsis. part of his breakdown after being defeated.
Zachary Coleman stole? (And yes, I know this comment is outdated but still) I'm talking about on LORE aspect as in: arceus is the first Pokemon (DONT GIVE ME HATE COMMENTS ABOUT MEW PLATINUM WAS MY FIST GAME THUS MAKING MY OPINION SET IN STONE.) Arceus created all he was before groudon and kyogre however if this was who came first IRL yes, kyogre and groudon should be first
This is probably the most intimidating villain theme that the series has ever written. Especially given the knowledge that if you lose this battle, under no uncertain terms, Ghetsis WILL kill you.
Something that separates Ghetsis from other evil bosses is his Hydriegon. Most evil bosses have Crobats, which evolve by friendship. This shows that they do care for their Pokémon. But Ghetsis's Hydriegon runs MAX POWER Frustration, a move that increases it's power the more the Pokémon hates their trainer. Ghetsis's Hydriegon HATES HIM.
CriminalSableye Me: HA!!! I BEAT THIS!!! Ghetsis: * strolls in with a smug ass grin on his face * Uh huh? Me: OH HELL NAH!!!!!! Ghetsis: * nods * Yup. Fite me, bitch. Me: * fights him * EARGASM!!! Ghetsis: Somethin' wrong with you dere, kid?
When I hear this theme, the tension is at an all time high. Vernias getting a Star off a hidden block. Sophist yelling that he doesn't deserve it and that he was a leech. Nick complaining that he had gotten two Skeleton Keys off hidden blocks. Brent gears up to roll and then he rolls a 1. It was at this moment everyone knew that things just got wild... very wild. And then Brent pleads his heart out to convince Nick to use the Skeleton Key to open the path. Vernias then says, "And you want him to steal the star? Nick, think this through for one second." It was hilarity but it was just pure tension. All this on a Mario Party skin.
Exeron Yeah but Giovanni didn't really do much (I actually think Team Rocket did more in his absence) whereas Ghetsis achieved quite a lot, and went about his business in a much cleverer way through manipulation rather than "Hello, I am evil".
oh snap....you're right.... I think Ghetsis is....I mean, at least Lusamine actually loved her children....at one point.....and started to again at the end.
I would say Ghetsis. Sure, Lusamine was pretty bad, But at least she learned from her mistakes, Ghetsis did not do so. Not to mention, Lusamine once had cared for her children, as mentioned by Lillie several times. It seems Ghetsis only adopted N as a way for him to gain the power of the legendaries. I don't think you can even call Ghetsis a father, he's just a dick
Oh my God, this battle was fucking infamous. Just when i thought Ghetsis is another leader of a team that i can defeat while fluffing around, that fucking Hydreigon outsped my entire team and proceeds to sweep everything, even Reshiram. How is it a good idea to have a Hydreigon that knows surf.
+Dogempire but Hydreihon has a lot of weaknesses, he's a realy good offensive pokemon (I know what i'm talking about, he's one of my sweeper in oras) with an incredible move pool, but he's realy bad defensievly
+math77370 In 6th Gen, yes. With 4x times weakness to fairy types, he is pretty bad defensively. But there's no fairy in 5th Gen, and remember that thing would probably outspeed dang near every pokemon you could acquire by that point (Mienshao, Archeops, and Scolipede are notable exceptions)
Why do we have hands? There are many reasons: -To feed our enemies to Hydreigon -To praise Hydreigon -To forfeit all of our possessions to Hydreigon -To bow down to Lord Hydreigon
Fun fact: Ghetsis battle theme is based on Arceus' battle theme because of Ghetsis' megalomania (desesperate need of power) and view of himself as a god.

I actually feel bad for Ghetsis’ Hydreigon. It clearly hates him as evidenced by it use of Frustration in B2W2. The poor thing is forced to carry out Ghetsis’ bidding only to be stomped out by the player character during your battle with him. Similar to how N released his Pokémon for you to catch them in B2W2, I wish Ghetsis’ Pokémon were also released for you to catch.
And apparently he forced his hydreigon to evolve because the way hydreigon evolves is that zwellious’ heads compete against eachother and one eats the other. So I think that ghetsis forced the zwellious heads to fight and get killed.
You have _no idea_ how damn good it would make me feel to rehabilitate this monster's Hydreigon. I'd give it all the care and support that its last trainer never did.

You should try Colosseum and XD's final bosses for a spin, particularly if you're trying to snag all the Shadow Pokemon. They get NASTY real fast if you're not prepared.
It makes sense, since he's half insane his strategies shouldn't be as sharp or as carefully crafted as they used to be. I do agree he was too easy tho.
It was said, that after he escaped from prison with help of Shadow Triad he lost his Pokemon, so - what's logical - he had to find new. But I will never understand why in place of Bisharp he catched Drapion, while he had already Dark and Poison types.
Oh my god, I love Ghetsis. He's such a fucking psychopath, so goddamn brutal. They did a solid job of writing him as someone who can easily pose as a philanthropist, someone who outwardly appears to be charitable and kind, but is actually an abusive, power-hungry monster. Pokémon doesn't usually do characters like this. Actually, now that I think about it, I can't name any other Pokémon characters that hit the same extremes that Ghetsis does. And that's why I like him so much.
I came back here after defeating Ghetsis! I was literally terrified when he just came at me, since N had fainted half of my Pokemon and I didn't heal. N's a real OG, healing my Pokemon with his magic powers.
This theme feels like your fighting the Devil. Come to think of it, Acreus’ theme and Ghetsis’ theme are pretty similar. Both have drums to build up tension, they give you the feel of unease and intimidation, and it also gives you a feeling that your life is on the line. For Arceus, your literally battling god, as for Ghetsis: *he will MURDER you if you lose.*
He will murder what? He would most probably murder both Alder, N and The Character viciously. Or would have tortured them to death. Judging from his previous actions, we can say that.
I'm using Ghetsis Hydreigon moveset in Wi-Fi battles. That thing always destroys 2-3 of opponent's pokemon. It even taked down bulked Volcarona and Suicune in one battle. Best EV trained pokemon of all timelines.
I like how the beginning uses so much percussion to convey such an intense mood, and the pitched percussion and slow integration of other instruments really brings in just this ominous feeling, like this person is truly intense, scary, and something to be feared, someone to take seriously. It really works with his character!
Still wondering how his Hydreigon can obey him after that.
@@AbdulAhad0128 Ghetsis probably forced it to obey him which wouldn't be surprising as he would have killed N if he actually got the chance.

I knew the manga was brutal…. but holy shinotic.
And not just the rights of the criminals, but *civilians too!*
Jeez, this manga is messed up...
Don't forget that their leader has divine percussions in his theme.
+Smashfan258 Ghetsis wants to slaughter Pokemon.
+Plas grunt Cyrus wanted to decimate the Universe and create on of his own as its God. Biggest psycho badass of the villains.

Same deal in B2W2
He's basically the "champion" of the game since you've beaten everyone else in the league so that's kinda cool lol-
Archie in Emerald also was only battled once.
Red in Gen 2...
And because of that, he doesn't use weaker/lower level Pokemon for no reason other than "game progression balance".

The fact that all his pokemons in USUM are kept in master balls really says how much pokemon despise him.
This goes for all Rainbow Rocket Team Leaders. Their Pokémon are all kept in Master Balls.
@@sujalchavan4822 Agreed

As a competitive player, dragon type pokemons in general are the reason the fairy type exist
Even a the shadow triad grunts have pawniard, which are based on pawns.
Black and White also relates to world views -- things being in "Black" and "White." It's only "Good" or "Evil." There is no middle ground.
@@krystallinekris its more of code geass reference, in which there are different shades of morality.
Ghetsis had no right to take away those choices to fuel his god-complex of complete control.
Ghetsis. Oh man, Ghetstis.
The man who wants to rule everything that can be ruled.
The man who tortures and abuses Pokemon to force them to be stronger.

How is it a good idea to have a Hydreigon that knows surf.
It has a lot of type coverage
Technically Ghetsis' team is meant to beat N's team in case of betrayal, with Hydreigon having a move to counter every single one of N's pokemon.
Hydreigon has an extremely solid move pool, in gen 5 I solo the league with him, his move pool is incredible, he can learn earthquake for example

Ghetsis's theme is basically a sped up Arceus theme, symbolizing how he thinks of himself as a god.
well, you were never supposed to hear the Arceus theme, so....
@@zooms7889 Legends Arceus, which comes with a new Arceus theme remix; are you sure about that
He will murder what? He would most probably murder both Alder, N and The Character viciously. Or would have tortured them to death. Judging from his previous actions, we can say that.
I'm using Ghetsis Hydreigon moveset in Wi-Fi battles. That thing always destroys 2-3 of opponent's pokemon. It even taked down bulked Volcarona and Suicune in one battle. Best EV trained pokemon of all timelines.
Okay which smogon set ?
@@klausk273 Ghetis' Hydreigon knows Frustration only in BW2. In BW1, this Hydreigon has a special moveset, not physical.
Time to get my Florges.
@@Xman34washere Time to make my hydreigon learn iron tail and wear an assault vest
"A part of him lives within me, doesn't it?"
Other villains when you beat them: You won, i'm not evil anymore.
Ghetsis: You won.
(Releases fully healthy Hydreigon)
*Now run.*
Lmao
Lmao
Más bien sería como
*Ahora muere*
I like how the beginning uses so much percussion to convey such an intense mood, and the pitched percussion and slow integration of other instruments really brings in just this ominous feeling, like this person is truly intense, scary, and something to be feared, someone to take seriously. It really works with his character!
