I love how in the finale of the villain arc it shows all the other leaders being reformed and helping the MC stop Giovanni but Ghetsis' only reason for helping is he'd rather help the heroes then see Giovanni be the one who takes over Pasio. Phenomenal.
Some people use the power of friendship. Ghetsis uses the power of spite.

It's like, I can hear the choir saying "Ghetsis," but it just sounds too much like Dennis that I can't unhear it unless I really try to

I guess because he's the most evil antagonist in Pokemon, Ghetsis is battled only one time in every game he has appeared in. It's nice how he has a snake-like voice representing evil and all this guy does is play god.
I'm happy they chose a snake voice for him. Likely what he'd realistically sound like
The voice is very fitting. Personally, I like to give him a J.K. Simmons voice, primarily based on his character, Terrence Fletcher, from Whiplash (Great movie).
In black and white he was the final boss too
@@noahmaldonado5461 Ghetsis being given a snake-like voice really shows that he was made to be dislikable. Game Freak did a nice job making Ghetsis the video game equivalent of Satan.
@@coldzoroark6440Honestly Simmons in that movie, despite playing the character of a domineering, emotionally abusive, and spiteful asshole, had a slightly noble goal of having music being performed extraordinarily well and turning people with potential into prodigies.

@@josemolina1321 In fairness, Lusamine is nowhere NEAR as bad as Ghetsis, Lusamine always saw Lillie and Gladion as her children, even if she was insane about it, Ghetsis only saw N as a tool and a freak.
@@josemolina1321 in sm lusamine was infected by nihilego toxins and also her husband was missing which make her obsessive toward that thing.
@@unknownuser494 That is a myth, and a ridiculous one at that. There's zero indication that Nihilego's toxins work like that, and USUM proved that Lusamine was just as bad a parent in a world where she hated Ultra Beasts. She was only affected by Nihilego toxins when she allowed it to parasitize her body.
Little reminder that in the manga, N saves Ghetis from falling to his death, then N says that he is grateful and his love for Ghetsis hasn't changed

Yeah same, I was expecting them to take Maxie's, Archie's and Ghetsis' designs from their USUM appearances, but I'm infinitely satisfied that they didn't, because these are just so much better lol

I believe its taking the characters from their most recent appearance (timeline wise) which is why we see Cheren and Bianca in bw2 outfits and Archie and Maxie in their alt costumes
Edit: However i cant explain the usum outfits as that was their latest appearances
@@151TheMew I think the usum outfits were due to them coming from alternative timelines where their plan succeed but at a cost
@@koopakid2343 yes. All the villains from the rainbow rocket arc are versions of them characters where they won
However not all are their most popular designs. ORAS archie and Maxie are easiky more well loved them ruby and sapphire. Most people also perfer ghetsis BW2 design. Lysandere and Cyrus don't really have different designs in comparison and the only thing different for giovanni is the R symbol on his shirt

I keep hearing "medics, medics", but this should be the case for Cynthia (BDSP) or Volo (LA) instead.
Ghetsis should have been the main evil team leader! Change my mind.
He kind of is. Giovanni is the most powerful, but according to himself, Team Rockets quest for power isn't meant to be at the expense of the world around him, unlike Ghetsis. Giovanni has the sense to know if his actions are causing trouble that may harm his position and reputation, he will back down. It seems he wants Rocket to be an organization that's evil but respected.
Ghetis is too solo-minded. Like, in this universe he would totally have the ability to be the main villain, but he would also be the Guy to throw all of the organisation under the bus if given a chance and a reason.
Giovanni wants team rocket to Prosper, even after him.

Ghetis onlh care about himself, others are just tools to him, and its when he starts to lose that he gets into a mental breakdown and decide to destroy everything out of pure spite. (b2w2 plot in a nutshell)
