Snuff hits so hard. When he says “I only wish you weren’t my friend, then I could hurt you in the end” and “if you still care DON’T EVER LET ME KNOW” it gets me every time. You can tell how devastating and painful the divorce he was going through was. It was also the last single they made with Paul Gray before he overdosed in 2010, so they dedicate the song to him. At at least one show, they had a spotlight on the stage shine on his bass and mask while the song was being played. Corey says Paul had a lot of faith in the song and advocated for it, even though it was somewhat of a risky move due to being so different from their usual sound. And that paid off, cause it’s such a beautiful track. Hearing Psychosocial again brings back memories I’d play that in Rock Band 2 (it was dlc) and Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock all the time. I remember hurting my throat attempting to do the vocals for it lmao. The late 2000s-early 2010s were a great time for games and music. Looking forward to seeing you react to the next Korn album! Take A Look In The Mirror is gritty and cold and brutal. Honestly fits the winter really well
Man to me Slipknot’s All Hope Is Gone marked the end of an era for the band’s original lineup, as it was the final album featuring bassist Paul Gray and drummer Joey Jordison before their departures (Paul’s tragic passing in 2010 and Joey’s departure in 2013). Rip to both of them gone way too fuckin soon!! Corey sang snuff acoustically as a remembrance to Paul and every time they end a live show they put Joey and Paul pics up and play Til We Die to pay tribute to them.
Man this album gives me such nostalgic vibes- also bittersweet as it’s the last of original lineup. Keep these great reactions up and don’t forget the KORN journey!
All Hope Is Gone is an awesome album, Joey did great this album, this album and Avenged Sevenfold’s self titled and Nightmare albums inspired me to play drums

I got this album as a birthday gift in September 2008 from my best friend at the time. At the time, Iowa was my favourite album of all time, and this was a massive departure from that. There was a lot of nuance in All Hope is Gone that wasn't there in some of their earlier productions, and I loved it all. I remember being very surprised that nobody else seemed to like it the way I did, but looking back, it makes sense. The album stands the test of time, but it wasn't what a lot of Slipknot fans wanted.
1:05:53 "I missed my window years ago" actually means two things! I just figured out the 2nd! I always thought of it as Corey missing his love life and the dating scene because of his dedication to touring with the band and making music, but they recorded 2 ALBUMS at that time, the other being "Look Outside Your Window" which will finally be releasing in 2025! (17 years later!) It was just Corey, Jim, Shawn (Clown) and maybe 1 or 2 others who made the music for it. Maybe he intended both meanings. It all makes sense now.
For the drums id definitely recommend using the single pedal first. Learn your favorite songs like you were saying and the groves will come naturally if it’s music you like. Most important thing is have fun, if it’s not giving you an immense amount of joy when you can play it’s not doing its job. Also don’t give up man, drums are just magical. I’ve been playing since I was 12, I’m 20 now and I don’t regret a single minute. I still play everyday. Have fun on the journey bro, put that work in
Til’ we die is a track on their unreleased album, “look outside your window” it’s an atmospheric album that is yet to be completely released but ‘my pain’ on we are not your kind is also on that unreleased album. Clown has said it’ll be released soon for years. It might happen this year.

This album really was the last of what, I suppose, is like the Golden Age. I think that's more of a pessimist's name though. But there's no denying Slipknot changed after this album released. Their bassist passed away from an overdose in 2010, they went on hiatus for a while to recover, came back, Joey (the drummer) seemed to have a case of Transverse Myelitis which is a neurological problem that caused his drumming to slow down. In a bit of a messed up fashion they fired him over Email in 2013, then made their next album in 2015 with new drummer Jay Weinberg (son of Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg) with their percussionist Clown filling in some parts. This album is also not fondly remembered by the band, in part because of Paul Gray's passing. Clown has stated that he hated the name "All Hope Is Gone" because on a personal level he believes that there is always hope, and then Paul died and it felt like some screwed up poetry. There's also the fact that the band hardly got together in full force, in fact I don't think all of them were ever in the same room at one time, during the recording process, leading to what a lot of them feel is a very disjointed album. In spite of that, and despite being an incredibly divisive album, it also has some of their most popular songs ever made in Psychosocial, Sulfur, Snuff, and Dead Memories, as well as some of the more fan favorite tracks like Gematria. Personally I think it's a fun album with great songs and less great songs.
TGC and WANYK had a bunch of strong tracks, but I do agree in the sense of it missing the DNA that Paul and Joey brought. The End So Far on the other hand…we don’t talk about that album.
Hey there future percussionist, hope your doing well. Happy to see your still enjoying yourself :) Just wanted to say, as a drummer myself, give Drumeo a look. Both on youtube and on their website, lots of nice learning tools on the website and the YT channel is great as well. :>

When the ST released i was stunned by how raw it was. They never made a record like that again. Never been a slipknot fan but the ST was something else. If you want raw check out Mudvayne LD50. That record is deep AF. I think its one of the best metal albums made and very very underrated.
This unfortunately is the last album that would feature all original 9 memebers In 2010, Paul Gray the bassist of slipknot passed away from overdose And later in 2013, Joey Jordison the drummer of slipknot was fired from the band because he was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, which basically paralyzes everything down from his hips and later in 2021 he also passed away Rip legends 🕊️

Yo dude! Just wanted to give you some advice on your drumming journey from a drummer of 10+ years and who also plays in a deathcore project. -Patience is key. Start with the basics bc technique is your friend. Bad technique can eventually lead to energy. Learn to use your wrists when hitting with a stick and not your forearm. These techniques will make drumming for you less difficult. -Drumeo/the internet. The internet is now becoming a key tool to learn instruments. Drumeo is the best when giving lessons and learning songs. You can transcriptions and courses on their site. No need for a personal teacher (if that’s not your thing). -Drum Charts (this one might come later) what I find easiest when learning a difficult song is reading a chart. There are many guys on RUclips who post drum charts of songs. So whenever you’re able to identify the different sounds of the cymbals/drums. The notes on the charts will be like smooth for you to read. Plus in a way, you’re sight reading. -Double bass. Don’t worry about it yet. It’s very frustrating and your hands are your most important part right now. Double bass I have my good days and bad days. I’ve gotten way better over the years. But it took a lot of trial and error. You’ll get here eventually my man. -Last but not least; Have Fun! If you’re not having fun, make it fun. Start playing the songs you like and listen to your favorite drummers and copy their styles. Then once you’ve mastered a song of theirs. Try and make a beat of your own from what you’ve learned and create your own style out of it. -oh and one last important thing. Play to a Metronome, this will definitely help you with keeping time. Bc for us drummers; we are the backbone to everything and without a steady pulse. The band would fall apart. Just some helpful advice, if you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

Everyone has their own opinions on slipknot and how their music evolves and changes with each album, and personally I love them all. They all each have their own bangers and experimental songs. Can't wait for you to get to the next one
You're definitely sleeping on Mushroomhead man! They're a Nu-Metal pillar and are quite experimental with their rapping, screaming, singing, crazy keyboards, and more. Their 1995 album "MUSHROOMHEAD" aka Self-Titled is a perfect place to start! One of my favourite albums of Metal PERIOD! It's FULL of energy and groove!
All hope is misplaced, because there's always a sunny side of the mountain... in Kentucky, it snowed, then rained, and went back to snow, there is an inch of snow on top of a layer of ice on top of an air pocket... it's great. My rifle stock should be here this week as well, if you have a social media account I can share pictures to, I'll definitely share. ☕️🐝🇺🇸

Hey man, idk if you’ll see this but I’d really love if you did a Primus album. My personal fav is Pork Soda but I really think you should listen to a few of their albums.
Gematria is one of my top 3-5 songs from them. This album went super mainstream and then I stopped listening to them lol 🤷🏻♂️Congrats on manifesting a quick growing channel brostar 🙏🏻 get the double if you can afford it. Might as well get all the bells & whistles you can lol.
Brother listen here. You must learn how to ‘windmill’ headbang. It will help you feel the grove better lol there’s different types of headbangs and etiquette to feel the different beats and overall groove lol. But then dancing be getting me hype af too 😂
They didn’t fall off here, or even after here. They evolved. It’s necessary in the music business. Korn did the same. Personally, this is the album that made me go from liking Slipknot to loving Slipknot, same as what Follow the Leader did for Korn. Though to be fair, I’m fond of melodic and harmonic vocals, with screams and growls used mainly to punctuate. Some other bands you may enjoy: In Flames Insomnium Dark Tranquility Mudvayne Mushroomhead Staind All That Remains Avenged Sevenfold

Everyone has their own opinions on slipknot and how their music evolves and changes with each album, and personally I love them all. They all each have their own bangers and experimental songs. Can't wait for you to get to the next one
@@BruneyJustin agreed
You ever heard the band bad brains, give them a listen dude, there amazing
You're definitely sleeping on Mushroomhead man! They're a Nu-Metal pillar and are quite experimental with their rapping, screaming, singing, crazy keyboards, and more. Their 1995 album "MUSHROOMHEAD" aka Self-Titled is a perfect place to start! One of my favourite albums of Metal PERIOD! It's FULL of energy and groove!
All hope is misplaced, because there's always a sunny side of the mountain... in Kentucky, it snowed, then rained, and went back to snow, there is an inch of snow on top of a layer of ice on top of an air pocket... it's great.
My rifle stock should be here this week as well, if you have a social media account I can share pictures to, I'll definitely share.

yo bro ik it got copyrighted but if there’s a way you can repost the self titled reaction that would be insane, cs watching you react to that made my day😂
imma try but yk yt be on bs
@ feel that
Since i love metal in general i think its great that people give it a chance and don’t just say its screaming and all that so ur a real dude i suggest u listen to some Pantera they have some real badass riffs and guitar solos
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE LET'S GOOOO!!!

Btw if you love some god tier Drumming may I suggest a gojira deep dive?
Hey man, idk if you’ll see this but I’d really love if you did a Primus album. My personal fav is Pork Soda but I really think you should listen to a few of their albums.
I DID MY TIME….AND I WANT OUT!
you keep mentioning the self titled album but i dont see your video you reacted to, was it taken down??
literally got taken down as it was blowing up
@@yourfavoritedxrkskin thats a dam shame, i saw your clips on tiktok and i came to your channel looking for that video :(
Gematria is one of my top 3-5 songs from them. This album went super mainstream and then I stopped listening to them lol 🤷🏻♂️Congrats on manifesting a quick growing channel brostar 🙏🏻 get the double if you can afford it. Might as well get all the bells & whistles you can lol.

I really hope you react to the london 2002 show, its so hype and peak live performance!
THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT THATS WHY HE'S THE MVP THE GOAT THE GOATT🗣
double pedal is essential but it takes months to master, its like learning the same shit with hands again but with legs this time
Yea imma wait till I’m good wit one
Brother listen here. You must learn how to ‘windmill’ headbang. It will help you feel the grove better lol there’s different types of headbangs and etiquette to feel the different beats and overall groove lol. But then dancing be getting me hype af too 😂
Second band after SOAD i pike so much! Can listen very long. Teen ages 😊
We miss you Paul and Joey❤
Ok based of your favorites on all these albums, it’s time to dive into Stone Sour
Bro listens to more music in a week than I do in 3 months😂 keep the grind up🔥🔥 still waiting on that Alice In Chains reaction tho😭

Gotta check out some Kublai Khan TX. They are insanely good

Pretty tame imo compared to Cattle Decapitation and Guttural Slug
UNC JAYDES DROPPED ON SOUNDCLOUD HIS NAME IS Nunya!!!!!
what kind of drumkit did you get?
electric or acoustic?
Electric
They didn’t fall off here, or even after here. They evolved. It’s necessary in the music business. Korn did the same.
Personally, this is the album that made me go from liking Slipknot to loving Slipknot, same as what Follow the Leader did for Korn. Though to be fair, I’m fond of melodic and harmonic vocals, with screams and growls used mainly to punctuate.
Some other bands you may enjoy:
In Flames
Insomnium
Dark Tranquility
Mudvayne
Mushroomhead
Staind
All That Remains
Avenged Sevenfold
Banger album 🔥

Can you do a metallica albm next mate...master of puppets would be a good introduction.
Yeah wait a while before you order a double pedal I’d say. What kit did you get?
Alesis, the $600 one
@@yourfavoritedxrkskinahh an electric kit. It’s for sure good you didn’t order a cheap one. You can buy a cheap acoustic kit and make it sound good but cheap electric kits are just awful. Do you have a plan for learning or just gonna feel it out?
@ was gon learn naturally or from RUclips vids
@ yeah for sure man maybe start with RUclips vids and once you’ve hit a level where you can jam to songs you know start doing that. It’s a lot of fun man
I agree, having the lyrics up spoils the flow and path musically
🔥turned it off perfect time
Yea lookin at em was throwin me off😭
They always hit ngl! This is my least fav record by them and it's still amazing imo :) Love the vids man!

People say that its their last great album. I mean, with all original 9 yeah, of course. But i want to say very unpopular opinion, next album for me is good as previous ones.
@@005vision it’s a common occurrence for ppl to dislike evolutionized bands
Get a double pedal 💪🏼 I use the dw 9000 that’s my fav but any double pedal will do
