I'm Molly, a typical sushi, makeup, and fashion loving millennial girl who just so happens to be blind! I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model! Even though I can’t see, I know that there are bright spots in everything we face. Let’s find them together. 💕
Molly! As a sighted person, with decently not perfect eye sight nor proprioception, you’ve taught me so many tips and tricks! Why do I need my eyes to find something in my purse? Now I feel for it. Even better you taught me to do what makes me feel safe. When I’m unsteady on my feet, I turn my arm outward and I feel for the wall as you do. That way I don’t slam my shoulder into door ways. You’re such a lovely inspiration for so many. Long time watcher, first time commenter. You’re a queen!
Am normal sighted person but the lamps in my rent rooms all died suddenly &it took days to fix. But with Molly's tips &tricks, I still could find my daily stuffs without them, even easier to me than before in konmari method lol now, some days I intentionally turn off all lamps when I feel like it &am more confident in organizing my stuffs ❤😂
I can't see very well in the dark, so I also feel for stuff to find in my purse. I also make sure I always leave my advil on my desk for those days when my eye dystrophy acts up because my eye won't open very well due to light sensitivity and I literally feel my way to my desk in the dark.
Molly , I am just knitting restfully in bed with my Sherpa skin under my feet/heels to prevent bedsores. I have stage 4 breast cancer to my bones and use a wheelchair. The Sheraton skin that your Lavender loves is because it’s so soft and it’s a sheepskin with natural lanolin oil in it . Cats love luxury! Especially your beauty of a cat. I have 2 blue eyed sable point Birman cats who steal my sheepskin when I am not on mine. They are real good at preventing pressure sores besides just being an esthetically beautiful piece. I love Elton John and your love of critters and the great care you take of them. The new home is coming together fabulously. Rest assured your mom knows your taste! Love the makeup organization- really a nice system that will help you be time efficient and beautiful.
Hi, I didn't even know that was possible, pls be strong, that breast cancer or any localised cancer could transfer to the bones, thank you for sharing, my condolences and hope you're cat will have an equally luxurious home if necessary. I hope the pain is manageable today. :(

It's very difficult to make sense of these things, but even when things are going well, we all know that everything we hold dear could decline or be taken under our nose tomorrow, so please make sure to enjoy all of life's wonderful detail when you can, or to re-enjoy them frequently. I must learn to knit again, I think it's wonderfully calming and creative to do.

The Lucys hair is more of an orange than a dark red. I think you could do a deep chocolatey red that would be completely different and really flattering to your skin tone and eye color 😍 (kind of like your dark natural color with a red gloss added to it)

My mother's grandmother was blind. Growing up, my mom was always impressed with how she knew where everything was. She organized her wallet by singles, 5, 10, and 20 dollar bills. And she knew where everything was in her kitchen cabinets!
A deep red would look so good on you!!! And I definitely don't think anyone would get you any Lucy confused, especially those of us who are regular followers. Also, Lucy's hair is more of a bright orange-ish red so, the colors would still be quite different! You can rock literally any color though 😘💖

The vanity looks great. When you're blind do what's right for you. Who cares how it looks! But, it looks aesthetically pleasing. I'm amazed how you function so well in a sighted world.💘
Powders (eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, highlight, etc) are okay to keep beyond expectation as long as you sanitize them regularly and they don't smell off.

Girl you'd look great with a dark burgundy colour. I know you've done purple, but dark burgundy that is closer to red--would be killer. :) I've gone through all lengths of hair; from shaved to butt length. Mid as a blind girls is the easiest and most comfortable. Stick with what makes you feel good.

It’s interesting what you said about organization because my friends and family always say that my stuff looks like it has no rhyme or reason to its placement. I call it organized chaos because even though it looks weird to some people that make sense to me.
I have a similarly fluffy white tree skirt, and my cat just loves to sit under the tree. That is only a tiny bit of the reasoning of why my tree is still up. Energy limiting illness is another, but also I just like it, and I almost want to turn it into a spring tree. I would make a foux moss tree skirt and add birds and squirrels and birds nests with eggs on the tree, and mushrooms at the base.
The fact people can't keep you and Lucy apart... I'm not gonna lie I laughed so hard I spit soda on my keyboard.
Also Lucy’s hair looks more of a bright red than a dark red. Personally I love all shades of red.
I’ve actually never like the blonde (obviously my opinion doesn’t matter as it’s not my hair). I’ve always preferred the bright colours you’ve put over the blonde so I’m excited to finally see the colour that you’ve been wanting to go for the past 2.5 years!

I’ve streamlined my makeup to my favourite brands. I was collecting so much just from impulse buying. I wish I had a vanity like yours. I have to use a mock vanity at the kitchen table since the light is best there.

I have virgin hair because of 2020. I'm scared to have that relationship with my hair roots again. I'm a natural ash blonde, and when roots grow out, it looks like my hair is falling out, no matter what color it is dyed. I had my Mohawk moment, and I loved it. I've almost gotten colored extensions to have lowlights but ended up not. I now have quite a collection or hair extensions that match my natural color, and replacing them with a different color would be substantial. Wigs and chalk or spray, bring it on but roots, not today.

I love your thought process with your hair color. I concluded the same cuz my hair is not only dark but pretty curly and dry so I barely have it blonde. Right now while I'm waiting for the blonde to grow out, I use semi-perm color and trim off the dry damaged ends. I have a magenta color. I believe u had a similar color or a darker purple shade?

I had short hair cause I was in Cadets in Canada (similar to JROTC in America) and I couldn't braid my hair or put my hair in a bun to save my life. I thought growing out my hair to be around the shoulder to mid-back length hair was annoying.

Your hair is such a pretty tone (even with your roots growing in) but hear me out….what if you dye it a lilac or some shade of purple?? It would be super cute for spring! I may be biased because I currently have all light purple hair (with my very dark roots also starting to grow in lol) but you could honestly pull off any hair color!

My hair is also at a length where I want it to just be chopped off to my shoulders again. Haven't gotten it cut in a little over a year. My hair is also curly and constantly frizzy. I don't put much product in it. I personally just don't like the feeling of many hair products in my hair aside from tea tree hair and body moisturizer or an anti frizz serum.

Just my opinion. I don't love the paint color in the second bedroom. I don't think it compliments the built-ins. I would paint them something a bit more colorful, like a muted green or coral.
Also, I'm not sure if you had plans to do this already, but the shelves by the murphy bed would look so good backlit.
