Robes of Servitude. That transmog is quite rare nowadays in retail :)
Only a few of us did those quests back then, and even fewer remain that can show it nowadays.

9:19, in the lower right, just outside the screen, is a suspiciously Danish-looking Orc, lying dead on the floor.
It's Guzu's hardcore character that got yeeted down there.

if i were only playing one character i think i probably would have disabled the leveling buff too tbh. everyone complains incursions is the only way to level but i find myself just dungeon hopping because there's already so much i want from those dungeons, though most people dont have 10 characters cycling through gnomer and are just trying to power level a few characters so less of their XP is rested or coming from levelup raids

Yeah I let myself get all doomered by the incursion bullshit for a bit then was like "oh yeah I could just not do them" and have never done one. probably never will. Feels good man

I agree! Without incursions and the buff the leveling actually seemed rather enjoyable and was paced pretty well. :)

    • @Jediwarlock
      @Jediwarlock  Месяц назад

I think Classic gets a bad rap because 40-50 are seen as the "slow grindy levels" which could have inspired them to add the buff. :)

you have to understand as somebody who makes these type of videos you have literally nothing better to do than this type of stuff your fanbase or people that agree with you, but that doesn’t mean taking the slow road is the most fun either. if blizzard made the game like this and never changed over the years to what we have today in retail, then that would be another story, but that’s not the case. And as much as people like to believe that classic is a better game if classic wow or should I say vanilla wow, never iterated and stayed the way it is, then wow would have been much smaller overall as a game because the other games like Final Fantasy 14 would have surpassed it long ago.

@@Jediwarlock thanks. I have been playing MMORPGs for 24 years now. I have seen a lot of things change. And I myself have changed as a gamer. Some years ago I re-downloaded EverQuest. that was my first MMORPG in a very short while I uninstalled it again. I just couldn’t go back to that type of game anymore. at the time when it was new, it was the only game around like it. But that was like lightning in a bottle. The same with wow vanilla. That moment was unique and as much as players want to go back, it will never be exactly the same. If they were to create a brand new game in the same way that while vanilla was with new story, new places like a total spin on things like an alternate timeline that might be fun. but once again without the conveniences of modern, wow I wouldn’t be able to play nearly as much as I do.,

@@leonardceres9061false. You would be able to play the exact same amount of time as you currently do. Unless of course your life circumstances changed.
What you meant to say is that you wouldn't be able to fly from quest giver to quest giver, stack 30 mobs, AoE them down in 5 seconds, not worry about mana or health, etc. Or complete 10 mythic dungeons in a playsession, which is so much fun and makes so much sense story-wise /sarcasm.
Let's be real, we are in the TikTok age of gaming. People can't focus on story or abide not smashing keyboard for 5 minutes.

@@mufasafalldown8401 I disagree. Look I understand that these comments are made largely in a vacuum. There aren't real time back and forth commentary. A lot of the momentum of a dialog gets lost as you respond to comments after the point.
That being said. It's not about running many mythics in a short play-session. Or AoE'ing down tons of mobs at once.
It's about getting a good amount of content done in a short period of time.
As I've gotten older my play sessions have been broken down into chunks. Usually between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Give or take.
In classic WoW while I enjoy the style of it, I would get very little done with each play session. This would be FINE if I only enjoyed playing ONE toon. But I enjoy playing multiple alts. I'm hoping after warbands are introduced this will be the feature that will help give me an outlet for all of my alts.
This is part of why I enjoyed playing the old Jrpg's of old like Dragon Quest and the Final Fantasy games, or such. Having a full party of my own making is something I have been looking for in MMORPG's since I first started playing them in 1999.
I agree people have a short attention span these days. Everything in bite sized chunks. But my time is precious and only playing a bit to get little done doesn't work for me. It's not like a single player game where there is only a few paths to take and you can make a mental note of where you are and where you want to go. In wow there are so many different paths to take that even though I may have an idea where I want to go and what I want to accomplish that idea gets lost between sessions and especially between switching alts.

@@leonardceres9061 It's just differing opinions. The feeling that you can't accomplish anything in short play sessions is your perspective and that's fine. I can do 10 mythic plus runs and get a new piece of gear and feel the same way. It's all replaced next patch anyway... Bite size play sessions, multiple alts, QoL changes all led to retail. The game plays like an arcade game (or an Esport) and not an MMO. It's just such a disconnected experience.
I'm in the same situation with limited time. Work, kids, etc = short play sessions. I would still prefer an experience more akin to classic. I can't ever stomach retail for longer than a month or so at a time.
