I haven't watched every single battle; but, in every battle I have seen Mike has lost, and from seeing the other normals performances I have no doubt that the primary reason Mike does lose so often is because he thinks he's the best even though he also seems to be the only one who looks up and uses recipes...which I think is because he doesn't study as hard as his 'normal' brethren. The same brethren Mike frequently makes fun of.
Invest in a rice cooker, maybe? It can debut on kitchen gadgets review. :D
Another great episode. Thank you for the incredible content.
"We are SORTED, a group of mates who have your back when it comes to all things Sunday entertainment. Stick around for... Hold up, Barry just said cross Mary Poppins and Tony Stark. What."
It's a random combo 🤷♂️
Sounds like a good combo to me, but I have no idea how those two have anything at all to do with what he made.
I mean, did you watch endgame?
"I'm Mary Poppins y'all!"
I think he explained it, he said "British classic" = Mary Poppins and "American modern" = Tony stark, doesn't seem that complicated? 😅
@@adde9506 he literally explains it as he's talking about his dish.. British classic and American modern
IF and when you ever get to come to America again, you HAVE get Barry (and Sorted crew) to Michigan, or northern Indiana for their freshly harvested sweet corn! There is nothing like it.
And thank you Mike, for not salting your rice! It's one of the only times I can recall yelling at the screen, and still walking away saying, "Don't salt the rice, don't salt the rice. Oh good, he didn't put salt in it." 14:27 GASP! JUST SAW THE NOTE! MY HEART SUNK.... TOO FAR! So far they didn't mind.... purist do NOT SALT rice!
My mom is really old school Korean, having survived WWII and the Korean War. She's from the southern area of Korea, and we pronounce it [co-kee-jahng]. It's REALLY close to hearing the natural "g" in the beginning - [go-kee-jahng]. Say "kee" fast, and drag the "jahng". It's her way of speaking, and it's very old. No Konglish here!
Me: Oh dear, Mike is salty.
Husband: But his rice isn't, and that's the problem.
OOOOFFF
Mike, if it makes you feel any better, yours is the recipe I want to try at home. I've never used gochujang before, so this'll be something new.
The fact that you have to click "show more" to see that it's sponsored by Heinz is silly, even if it's easy to guess - love the channel, I promise
I think it's important to point out not just how much better everyone has become as cooks/chefs but also how much they've all improved in terms of being on camera. They're all (chefs included) more articulate and confident and able to do their cooking and explaining while seeming much less pressured.
"Mister Monoflavor and Captain Polymath" Mike, it's a battle between Normals, Ben isn't in this one. Did you mean Captain Pretentious?
wouldn't that be President Pretentious?
A Heinz sponsorship, heck yes boys! & crew! lol This channel deserves all the love, you guys truly operate a very high level & I for one feel spoiled by such quality ♡
Mike shushing his rice like his dog being naughty is everything 😂
All I want for Christmas is daily sorted videos 😍🙏🏼🤣
Love the Cyberpunk stylised intro text haha
😬 Didn't realize that
Love the subtitles for the music! Sad tuba when Mike's rice was boiling over, 😄
Jamie finally getting the recognition he deserves.
We know right, he was overdue a win.
@@SortedFood very impressive by all three. The “normie” tag might be losing its relevance
Looks delicious thank u for this beautiful video.
