Definitely unique idea and sometimes when you see a new invention come out, you can’t help having doubts but this one looks worth a go. Great video mate 👍🏼👍🏼
Looks interesting, I can't see the advantage over the cheap ones from DIY stores that are a third the price. Thanks for showing it though, definitely interesting.
When precision is a must the rails on the side can interfere with accessibility, visibility and maneuverability. Storage along with rust and cleanliness. I wouldn't want one due to my line of work but do see the benefits. I am a glass technician and use a caulking gun every day. This gun wouldn't be able to push the type of urethane needed to complete the process of replacing auto glass. But could see the the benefits when using silicone on shower enclosures where the bead needs to be applied perfectly and properly to make a water tight seal while being discreetly seen.
Also using a cheap gun versus a decent one is like night and day in professional installations. The swiveling shaft, dripless action and consistent volume with each pull of the trigger is the difference between the two like a car and tricycle is in regards to travel.
Hate to rain on the enthusiasm but i’ve had 2 of them and both failed after a short while. Same issue on both, they just lost the gripping strength and wouldn’t hold the tubes. Hopefully they’ve improved the design.
The two blades at the front holding the tube go blunt after time and don't hold the tube, allso if you use some really heavy duty sealents that ate really dense, Dow corning mastic it just pushes out, mine lasted 4 months befor I threw it. Im a window and door fitter using this everyday
Just discovered your channel. Hope you are continuing to make videos. They're really useful and you have a natural "teaching" way, for lack of a better term. Keep it up!
Thank you Kate! That’s very kind of you to say. I am still making videos just struggle for time at the moment. Hoping it won’t be too long before my next video is done and released. In the meantime I hope my other content is of use too 😊
I like the idea but I didn't see a Seal Puncture Tool. I never seem to have something to puncture the seal that's ridged and small enough to do the job. :)
Hi I can buy a normal one for £1 so will stick to that but it is an interesting idea, I also have a 18v ryobi one thats great if your going to be using it all day ,keep up the good videos
Nice one man. Wolfcraft do make some good stuff don't they. They make a cool measuring stick that folds in on itself, not used it much lol but it clicks in a nice way.
I bought this months ago for gross task ( to put pigeon repellent on an outer wall), I have been procrastinating but finally today is the day. I decided to search for videos on how to use it ( middle aged housewife who doesn't do any DIY).I actually figured it out without the videos (it's hardly rocket science!)but I still wanted extra reassurance because it seemed too easy!. All the videos I found were American ,and didn't have this Wolfcraft design. Found your video and it gave me all the reassurance I needed. Now off to fight the pigeon poo! Keep up the good work!
@@AverageJoesJoinery Hahaha, I hear ya mate 👍🏽 That's not too bad compared to a good quality one, plenty of cheap and nasty ones out there that either break or jam up!
Thanks mate! I haven’t finished the rocker unfortunately. I ended up running out of Walnut and just couldn’t justify the extra cost to buy the extra I needed.
Mate that’s a great idea I’ve got two caulking guns and one of them doesn’t fit the longer tubes which is why I bought a second one at least this will fit any tube no matter how long it is 👍🏻

I had to Google that one and while it's quite cool, it does slice up the tube. I think of all these gimmicky guns the Ox Tools rod-less gun is probably the one I would go for.

Release the trigger and the silicon stops completely. There's the advantage.!!
The break is brilliant!
£15 + delivery you can buy 3 good orange frame guns for that & tbh i dont see the point.
There are certainly cheaper options out there. I’d never seen one like this before though so I had to get it haha

Ahh thats not good 😕 I hardly use a caulking gun I just had to buy this when I saw it though haha
I’m going Bat💩 ordering great little items off the net, always makes one think why hasn’t this been designed before 😳🧐👍
Its too addictive isnt it! Haha looks good, buy it, forgot your ordered it, put it away 😂
merhabalar Wolfcraft Mg310

It's an updated version of their 1980's design, I had one it's not a great idea that's why you don't see any others.
I’ve never seen one before. Didn’t realise they had been around that long haha

You ever seen the battery powered ones? Ryobi do one. Might seem silly but if you're doing a bunch of caulking it probably saves your hands some!
The battery ones look great! I certainly don’t do enough to justify one though hah
Where did you bring it from?
Lol, he’s another one who doesn’t know the difference between bought and brought.🤓😆
Look into the Siligun as well as the Saker portable caulking gun. They are even smaller and use a completely new method.
Thank for sharing nice one Joe stay safe and make. 👍👍🍺🍺😷
Cheers Brian! Keep well mate
Grippy arms = clamps?
Thats the word I was looking for 😅😂
wow never seen one before
I just had to get one haha
Hi Joe just watched you on telly
Thank you for being amazing I loved your boxer dog.
Keep posting your great 👍
Thanks Tracey! Really glad you liked it 😊

Perhaps a mark two 😂
Thanks for the review!! Great video!
Thanks for watching! 😊
Does it keep spilling out when you stop pulling the trigger

There are certainly plenty if cheaper options out there. The cordless ones look brilliant too. I just hadn’t seen one like this so had to get it haha

I’ll have to have a look for that one! I’ve got some small wolfcraft clamps that are pretty good
It's great but aside from the size when not in use it doesn't change a thing?
I think it’s quicker to change over and its less messy. I would always end up getting the cage ones gunked up in no time
Caulk blimey!
Nice one Joe, I'm always breaking my caulking guns 👍🙄
I don’t use them often but I had to get this when I saw it haha
my only issue is that it looks bulky
I had that same sponsored post come up in my Instagram feed the other day and was intrigued by it. Thanks for doing this Vid Joe!
The random posts are usually terrible but this one stood out to me haha enough to buy it anyway 😅
great video i have never seen this befor looks so easy to use
Thanks Danny! Its really simple to use 😊
That is a very neat bit of kit Joe.
Cheers
Mike
I couldn’t resist haha Thanks Mike!
Can't see the difference but I still enjoyed your enthusiasm 😎
Haha Cheers!
That looks good. I might bear that in mind as mine needs replacing.
A few people have commented that it doesn’t hold up very well over time unfortunately

Who'd have thought that a calking gun needed improving on! 😳
Much difference in price than a standard one?
Cheers mate 👍🏽
Its quite a bit more expensive. About £14 haha but I couldn’t resist

Have one for years, works fine but with tough caulk be careful, its all plastic and it breaks rather easy.
Not good 😕 I don’t use one often but saw this and thought I’d give it a try haha
@@AverageJoesJoinery Definately worth the try, just handle with care :)
Just subbed after watching some of your review videos, you sound like a Black Country lad 👍🏻
Doesnt work !!!
That looks very interesting.
Curious did you ever finish your rocker, would love to see finished result.
Keep up the good work.

@@AverageJoesJoinery how does it work with the thick stuff like PL-8
Mate that’s a great idea I’ve got two caulking guns and one of them doesn’t fit the longer tubes which is why I bought a second one at least this will fit any tube no matter how long it is 👍🏻
It will fit, might not fully dispense. That depends on the length of the push rod
The plunger is set for the 10 once tubes.
Never thought of that benefit! Haha
@@MKRM27 If it stops dispensing and there is a bit left in the tube, put a short piece of batten or something down the tube, re - attach the gun and carry on.
Where do you but one.
no more videos joe?
how was the trigger? I used to get bruises from my older cage one, need so much pressure to get a bead out
Spend about 15 quid at screwfix and get a decent one, I used. £5 ish shitters for years until recently the difference is night and day
I think the trigger on this is great. Doesn’t take much at all. Easy to control too
Is it dripless?
Any update on your experience with this? Need a decent sealant gun and have looked at this but hesitant about pulling the trigger on it
Happy New year Bud. Nice little review too
Happy New Year! Hope you had a good holiday
Never seen one before, thanks for posting the vlog.
Thanks Derek!
That looks pretty good....great video 👌🤙
Cheers Andy! It’s really simple to use 😊
Great find mate thanks for showing
Cheers Dave! 😊
You need to get out more Joe....😆😆
I cant... lockdown 😂
Great find mate thanks for showing it to us.
Thanks mate!
Makita have a similar design but battery powered
Never seen one like it before haha I just couldn’t resist 😅

ever seen the siligun? that's truly amazing!

shit load of plastic that will end up our kids’ digestive system.
I don’t think kids should be eating caulking guns at all to be fair
