    Amazing SUV.
    Some, not nearly all, of the standard features: Air conditioning w/tri-zone climate controls, power liftgate, memory system, 14-way power front seats, heated 2nd-row seats
    403hp 6.2 liter V8
    0-60mph in 6.5 seconds
    Amazing.

    this car is awesome.... i have a navigator and... i have driven the escalade... they are both very nice trucks... it all comes down to your budget... for me the navigator was better for my pocket and the rear seats fold flat.. a big plus for me since I'm a musician and i have to carry large keyboards and amplifiers all the time. the escalade is more powerful but, power is not what i was looking for. I luv both trucks

  • @LPphilosopher

    In my opinion this is on of the best SUVs ever! With this car you can go with your 6 friends (lot of seats) to Monaco or St. Tropez and still feel like you are driving a car that can compete with other cars in those two areas. (those, who have been to Monaco know what im talking about :D

    we love the escalade!.we love everything,from the looks,power,to the interior,entertainment and heated seats.if you ask us a down side,we have to say the third row seats,because of the floor back there being to high up,leg room is not nearly enough to bolster anyone.then cargo, they do not fold down but the seats are required to be removed,which is a pain to doother than that,escalades for the best in the segment.

    Here are the standard features that the Escalade has while the Cayenne lacks: Air conditioning w/tri-zone climate controls (the Cayenne doesn't even have dual-zone), premium sound system (Bose), heated 2nd-row seats, 14-way power front seats, tri-zone climate controls. And probably more too.
    The Escalade, as you probably know, also has 113 more horsepower (a huge difference), a 0-60mph time that is 0.9 seconds faster (6.5 instead of 7.4), and a roomier interior. Though the Cayenne is sportier.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад +6

    You say the Escalade is less fuel-efficient than the GL450? The Escalade gets 12 city 19 highway while the GL450 gets 13 city 19 highway.. and the escalade has 68 more horsepower!!
    escalade 0-60mph: 6.5 seconds
    gl450 0-60mph: 7.4 seconds
    gl550 0-60mph: 6.0 seconds
    2. the escalade has a standard power liftgate, memory system, tri-zone climate contrlos, heated 2nd-row seats, and 14-way power front seats; none of these features are standard in the gl450
    i am disappointed with the gl-class

    The Cadillac Escalade is the primary symbol in luxury and in full-sized SUVs.
    And personally, imo, the Escalade's design is better looking.
    At the moment, I'm confused whether or not to get a GMC Yukon Denali, or just a an Escalade that has a few more features than the base model.

    Okay, Europeans obviously wouldn't want an Escalade cause Europe can't fit them. Most European roads are small unfortunately. But here in America, a land with mostly enormous roads, the Escalade is at home. The Escalade is known as a true masterpiece because it is so big, luxurious, and sexy with all its chrome.

    I'd rather have an Escalade. There are WAY more standard features, the 0-60mph time is significantly faster, it is more powerful, and it is roomier. Despite the Cayenne's impressive handling, I think 17/20 people would rather have the Escalade.

    The Escalade Platinum gets 19mpg on the highway while the GL550 gets 17mpg on the highway. And remember that the Escalade Platinum has a bigger engine. (Check the fueleconomy site so that I can prove the MPG's to you.)
    HOWEVER, you're right about the speed. The GL550 does 0-60mph in about 5.8 seconds give or take, while the Escalade takes 6.5 seconds. But the GL450 takes 6.9.
    The Escalade Platinum actually has slightly more standard features than the GL550 - DVD system, upgraded leather

    Escalade have a very good motor v8.

    It cost about $60,000-$74.000
    Escalade is awesome.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад

    Okay, a couple of things:
    1. The Escalade competes with the GL450 while the Escalade Platinum competes with the GL550.
    2. You have a couple of good points, but look at your comment again (where you wrote what the Escalade doesn't have). Would you be willing to not have those features, BUT have (the following features are not standard in the GL450 but are in the Escalade) a memory system, power liftgate, LEATHER UPHOLSTERY, heated 2nd-row seats, and tri-zone climate controls. 403HP!!! 0-60 IN 6.5

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад

    Yea. I mean they're both luxurious, sporty SUV's. But as some people fail to understand, they're quire different cars when given a second look. I admire the Cayenne's handling and interior, but I admire the X5's ride quality, roominess, and styling. They're both really good SUV's, they're just different. Many people will favor the Cayenne; many people will favor the X5; very few people will think the two SUV's are equal. I can't afford either of the cars, but I'll be really happy with either.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад +1

    What things does the Escalade lack that the Toyota Camry has as a standard feature? The Escalade has a standard power liftgate, memory system, heated 2nd-row seats, tri-zone climate controls, and 14-way power front seats, all of which are not standard in the GL450. Don't every say that the GL is more luxurious than the Escalade, cause if I were to put all those options (above) in the GL450, it would come out to about $72,000, and with less power than the Escalade, that's a bad deal.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад +1

    Yea you're right about the things that the Escalade misses. But the Escalade has a power liftgate, memory system, heated 2nd-row seats, tri-zone climate controls, and 14-way power front seats, all of which are not standard in the GL450.
    Even Mercedes-Benz claims that the GL450 accelerates from 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds, so there's no arguing that. Cadillac claims 6.5 seconds for the Escalade, and the power numbers are given.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 16 лет назад +1

    The Escalade is the best full-size luxury SUV, hands down. Anyone want to argue with me? Standard leather upholstery, standard remote start, standard tri-zone climate controls, 403 horsepower, 6.2 liters, 19mpg highway, standard satellite radio, standard heated AND 2nd-row seats, 0 to 60mph in 6.5 seconds. The Escalade is extremely luxurious, powerful, and even sporty. The GL450 is a piece of shit. Anyone want to argue with me? No standard leather? 335 horsepower? 4.7 liters? Anyone????

    The Escalade Platinum has more power.
    The Escalade Platinum has a standard DVD player.
    The Escalade Platinum has standard heated 2nd-row seats.
    The Escalade Platinum has standard heated/cooled cupholders.
    The Escalade Platinum has standard cooled front seats.
    The Escalade Platinum has standard upgraded leather upholstery (while the LX570 has regular leather).
    The Escalade Platinum has standard tri-zone climate controls.

    Just totalled my 2007 Tahoe, picking up the escalade tomorrow. The Tahoe was more low-key, less flashy, but when i looked to replace my baby, I saw a few 2007 Escalades for just a couple grand more. I like the blue collar feel to the tahoe, It just felt less showy... but after polling ten women, the escalade is a done deal. Face it, chicks love cash and all it represents, lol... Plus i wont mind picking up 83 more HP!!! LOL!!

    I'm sorry if I'm being hard on the Cadillac. I'm stating facts however. Liking the Escalade more than the GL450 because of a higher power level and more standard features isn't being HARD on the GL450; I'm not stating my opinion.
    The Escalade has a tilt wheel, by the way.
    Here's what the GL450 lacks that the Escalade has: Power liftgate, heated 2nd-row seats, keyless start, memory system, tri-zone climate controls. (perhaps a rearview camera?)
    Power is important. 403 KILLS 335.. AND 382..

    1. The Escalade has standard leather upholstery. GL450 has vinyl upholstery!! Saying that the GL450 has a more beautiful interior is like saying that milk chocolate is better for you than skim milk.
    2. Go to the fueleconomy site for accurate MPG's and see for yourself that the 335hp 4.7 liter V8 gets the same mileage as the 403hp 6.2 liter V8
    3. You're accurate on the "great to drive" part, but the Escalade is just as impressive on the streets.
    Escalade > GL450
    Escalade Platinum > GL550

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад

    Yes, luxury is ride quality, comfort, and build, but luxury is also standard features.
    Camrys have optional keyless start, while it is standard in the Escalade. The GL450 lacks all of the features that I mentioned in the previous comment.

    You're gonna pay around $35,000-$40,000+ give or take depending on options and milage.If you want something honestly just as nice, but cheaper check out a Yukon SLT (not the Denali). You can get a one in that year range for $25,000 or less and it's seriously just as nice, just doesn't stand out as much.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад

    Well companies can't lie about the standard and optional features in the cars. Those are FACTS. You can't say that some Mercedes GL450's have a standard DVD entertainment sytsem. You can't say that the Escalade has 310 horsepower, because it has 403 and that's a fact. You are right about the acceleration times, though. We cannot assume that the Escalade really does 0-60mph in 6.5 and that the GL450 does it in 6.9. Maybe the Escalade takes 6.3 while the GL450 takes 6.2. It depends on the testers.

  • @youmils03swagger
    @youmils03swagger 15 лет назад

    Ahh, I was agreeing with you for so long.. until you wrote this last comment.
    You're saying the only benefit the Escalade has is a lot of room? What about luxury? Standard features include tri-zone climate controls, heated first and 2nd-row seats, cooled front seats, power sunroof, memory system, 14-way power front seats, leather upholstery, and keyless start. Many of those features are not standard in neither the Cayenne nor X5.
    And what about power?
    403 > 260 (X5)
    403 > 290 (Cayenne)

    Best full-size luxury SUV: Escalade
    Worst full-size luxury SUV: GL450
    The Escalade beats the GL450 in many ways - standard leather upholstery, 68 more horsepower, standard power liftgate, standard tri-zone climate controls (GL450 has dual-zone), standard memory system, standard compass, standard heated AND 2nd row seats (GL450 does not have heated 2nd row), 0 to 60mph in 6.5 (GL450 takes 7.4), 6.2 liters (GL450 has 4.7 liters). This is the last time I'm going to tell you that the Escalade gets from 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds while the GL450 takes 6.9 seconds.
    Woah! I wasn't disagreeing with you about the off-road capability. I TOLD you the GL450, so shut the fuck up about that.
    It HARDLY drinks more gas. It gets one less mile per gallon in the city and the SAME highway mileage. (13 city 19 highway for the GL450 and 12 city 19 highway for the Escalade.) The GL550 gets WORSE gas mileage than the Escalade! Damn! Sad.

    ive actually rid in one before. my dad had leased a gl450 and was then thinking of getting an escalade. i went to test drive with him and the comfort, handling, and material was no where near as good as the gl. we actually just leased the gl550 instead becuz the gl is far much more better.

    Yea. But the Benz weighs a lot less than the Caddy also. And you do get a lot out of the Escalade for the money.

    @lucasfan18 This is a luxury vehicle that is not made for off-roading. Can you people get that through your thick skull? People claim that these other SUVs have superior quality, even though they've never been in an Escalade. The Escalade is outstandingly luxurious, soft leather everywhere. It's beautiful and gets stares unlike those hideous others. I honestly don't know where this theory that American cars break down came from. I see tons of old Cadillacs. RANGE ROVERS ARE UNRELIABLE, DUH!

  • @woofdawgg69

    yea but if u buy a standard navigator and then use the money you would have spent for the standard escalade you can customize it with a lot more than you get with the standard escalade

    Standard features include air conditioning w/tri-zone climate controls, tilt wood/leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio controls, cruise control, leather upholstery, heated front and 2nd-row seats, 14-way power front seats, memory system, compass, premium sound system, rear radio controls, power liftgate, outside-temperature indicator, and universal garage door opener.
    Escalade > GL450
    WAY more standard features, WAY more power

    this is my opinion and not to offend anyone but honestly i find this car ugly compared to the 2005 escalade no offence to anyone but the form is just too round toyish look the 2005 is alot less round

    Well you gotta sit down and try to compare the benefits and disadvantages of each car. I'd actually prefer a Cayenne, but I think the X5 is very nice, capable, luxurious, sporty SUV which deserves a lot of respect.
    I love the Cayenne Turbo too. But I'll NEVER be able to afford one hahaha... $100,000 for a car is well out of my ballpark.. I own a 2007 Audi A4, and I'm lucky to have that hahahaha.

      Cam Mims too many damn noises,wind noise,oil leaks,replaced headlight because of condensation,cheap ass Tahoe interior but it's easy to work on and if you buy the 07-08 model you're lucky if you didn't have cam bearing failure in your 6.2= New engine.

    @uberenthusiasts Actually, a 2009 with 6,000 miles would run for $50,000-$70,000, depending on the options. And that's not even an ESV or Platinum I'm talking about, mind you. Need proof? 'Cause I can give it to you. Oh, yeah, I've got something for all the Escalade's haters. Haters make the world go 'round.

  • @NAKAKATAKOTAKO
    @NAKAKATAKOTAKO 15 лет назад

    oh yeah! the LX570 comes with KDSS, 3 speed crawl mode, a very sophisticated 4wd system usable offroad. while the escalde platinum, does not have anything that can make it go or do offroad.
    the escalade maybe some ticks faster than the LX and has a suburban/avalache versions, but LX is far better in almost every catergory. better materials, fit & finish, ride quality, 007 gadgetry. engine size:hp;torque;tow cap, resale value, reliability, etc etc etc.

    The Escalade is the best full-size luxury SUV. Anyone brave enough to start arguing with me? I have a LONG LONG line of arguments for you.
    403 horsepower (more than ANY other full-size luxury SUV), 6.3 liters (more than ANY other full-size luxury SUV)

    Ask yourself, would you rather have a car with a telescopic wheel, "full-tilt wheel", off-road capability, and standard AWD rather than a car with 68 more horsepower, a standard power liftgate, standard tri-zone climate controls, and standard heated 2nd-row seats?
