Very similar to our Army Mod System. Goretex outer bivy, 32° bag in a warmer bag, all snap together. They can be used individually as well. Used candles since Scouting in 1965. Dogs love their rear ends to be rubbed, Uni seemed to enjoy. Great vid. Tim...... Grizz
I carry a titanium twig stove and 2 alcohol stoves. One titanium that weights next to nothing. The Trangia has the sealed lid. Anyway i really love alcohol it makes morning coffee very little work. Then the twig stove to cook. I wonder if you mixed the wax with lamp oil would make it burn better. I use for fire starters a mix with beeswax (very cheap toilet rings) and lamp oil on cotton balls wrapped in aluminum foil. I plan on trying it on twine next. It really works great and the rings for toilets are very cheap sometimes free if they sell the damaged ones. I really like the fire box ive got to pick one up. Im really a fan of BPS that adventurer is my favorite but Aura is really looking to take it's place kinda. Always enjoy seeing your videos.
Lamp oil, now there's an idea. I love twig stoves, not used an alcohol stove in years. It's a bit of a shame, I used to use them quite a lot. I hope nobody asks me why I don't use gas ever. To be honest I don't have a good answer, as it is very practical (except for when it gets cold). Thanks for watching mate.
Absolutely no shortage of water in Finland Gruggs. For half of the year it is covered with ice , but lakes and rivers everywhere. Thanks for stopping by.
I forget faster than I learn at my age 🤣. Thanks for watching. This kind of video doesn't go down as well as the knife stuff. I do like to put out a bit of variety though, even if the majority of the viewers aren't into it.
Maybe a larger in diameter & taller tin can with air & flame holes to be the pot stand. The “candle” could then sit down in this larger tin can. Hopefully the flames from the candle would be closer to the bottom of the small pot. Could we get the spelling or the web site for the sleeping bag company. Looks like a nice bit of colder weather comfort. I use a large rectangular Wiggy (sp) synthetic bag for the outermost bag with a Feathered Friends rectangular down bag for an inner, a wool Hudson’s Bay point blanket inside of that. Great vid, I love seeing the different seasons, that you have on the other side of the world from me. The seasons here in Alaska are very similar. Lots of Finnish last names in Alaska from immigrants from the gold rush days.
Here is a link to the sleeping bag, Dosn't seem to be avaliable outside of Finland and Sweden. www.motonet.fi/tuote/jahtijakt-sissi-kuitumakuupussi-4010-c?product=55-06708 Seems like a good bit of kit, and bulky enough. Let's see how it does when it gets cold 😂. The larger tin can sounds like a good idea. 3 metal tent pegs might also work. Thank you very much for watching mate.
The website taxed my limited Finish language skills. Thanks for including it, I sure the folks that are more Finnish language literate will appreciate knowing more about this bag.
Weatherman says it's coming next week. At least the dude in the hardware store said the weatherman said it's coming next week 🤣. Let's see, I am kind of enjoying the weather we are having at the moment. Nice sunny days but not hot. Thanks for stopping by mate.
First impression is good.dont worry I will try not to be using it in -40 🤣. Looks plenty bulky enough to handle some serious cold though. Thanks for watching mate.
Well you certainly did a superb test here Tim bro.. not a fail.. just experience innit ! ..my Mother said that about my first girlfriend !! lol.. 'She's experienced !!' lol.. and yes she was !! 🤣
Awesome, about the PO🤣.my stupid head is coming up with lots of things that PO could stand for. Most of them would get me banned from you tube 🤣. No such thing as a failed experiment. But sometimes you don't get the results you hoped for. But experiments are about learning. Thanks for watching mate.
Of course mate, here it is. Not available outside of Finland or Sweden as far as I know. www.motonet.fi/tuote/jahtijakt-sissi-kuitumakuupussi-4010-c?product=55-06708 Thanks for watching the video and have a great weekend.

I use a similar setup, but with a wool blanket inside a sleeping bag liner that's had the outside treated with greenland wax. Keeps me super warm 👍
Rear end rubbing is the only way to keep her still 😂. Thanks for the info Grizz.
Sounds like a good setup. Thanks for watching mate.
Nice to visit again, thanks for sharing, YAH bless brother !
Thank you for watching Michael, always great to hear from you.
God bless

You are fortunate you are by water. I do not have that in the area I go to. Its a nice addition when hiking or going out into the woods.

No snow yet? Snow hit the Brauneck in Bavaria on Monday, and the high mesas of the Rockies yesterday.

Thanks Ray, glad you liked it mate.
Heh, I'm planning to buy the same sleeping bag tomorrow. It sure looks good and it's probably warm enough (at least here in Pirkanmaa)

Nice experiment, only one way to find out if something works or not, thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching. I think it should definitely work, just needs some tweaking.
