I was tempted 4 different times on thinking I could raise a Calathea and each time they died. Thanks for making me feel better about disliking them too especially when you are so knowledgeable about plants and have done informative videos about their care. Appreciate you and hoping lots of goody & planty things come your way in 2023. ❤
I definitely feel you about being passive 🙈 it makes me so bad at advocating myself or being in touch with what I really want. I think I do it because I subconsciously think that I’m not important enough to inconvenience other people.
I had a calathea dottie as one of the first 3 plants that I 've ever purchased and it died on me because it couldn't handle the pesticide I used on her. She had mealybugs. Sad indeed but after that I just made a promise to myself not to buy another calathea ever again and focus on other, easier plants.
That pause you took when thinking of your least fav genus, in my head I was thinking “please don’t say calathea” and you said it😭. I know so many ppl hate them but they are honestly my favorite. I feel alone cause I’m the only one that likes those dramatic beauties 🥺
Haha! I love Calatheas a lot! But too bad had to let them all go due to space constraint. I used to splurge like mad on them. Even more so when I found out that Makoyana can grow TALL. Maybe in the future, when I get things properly arranged etc. Wish I had a huge garden haha!
100% agreed on your two content related icks, especially the similarity in content across channels in the same genre - also not unique to the houseplant videos lol. To add to that, how everyone in a genre all has the same sponsorships during a particular season 😅
Come to Manitoba (specifically, Churchill, MB) to see the Northern Lights! Bonus - you can go on tours to see Polar Bears! (I live in Southern Manitoba and we see Northern Lights here too - but nothing like Churchill)
Omg I SO feel you on the passive thing. LITERALLY me. And it’s such a double edge sword. I love how I have the ability to get along with almost everyone but I really wish I had more of a backbone in certain situations
Capricorn sun. Gemini moon. Cancer rising. My daughter is studying astrology. Of course I already knew my signs but she is loving learning. She is a tarot card reader and a psychic medium and a practitioner.
Funnily enough, I'm thinking of getting a Philo Pink Princess this year 😁. I don't have a plant that grows like that yet and would like to own one once. Looking forward to growing season starting again, but it's still freezing here in the UK.
Here is a new video idea for you! I am in the market for an outdoor potting table (come this Spring). Do your have one on the roof? Would you consider doing a review on a few different ones?
Ever see that sticker, "feeling cute, might die later?" The picture on it is... a Calathea, lol. I had one, loved & cared for it like a baby, it died. Never again, they are too picky. That sticker is now on my car!! 💞
also for those asking i am seeing someone 🤪
Sooooo soo so sso Love-ya content Bruhh/ you do You, peace and luv from Canada

the sponsor comment is so valid, sorry about that ... we can't help it 😅

OMG! Seeing the northern lights is also top of my bucket list! Hope you get to check it off of yours. :)
Definitely worth it seeing in person :) I'm lucky to live somewhere you can see em though traveling more north would be better experience
When you mentioned "how they grow" referring to ppp, painted lady etc, did you mean their "leaf shape"?
Things that RUclipsrs do that I find annoying in general: clickbaity titles like "this is killing your plant"
Or 'plants that need no light' 🥲 well lucky those are from non plant youtubers mostly
💚💚
A 2-inch Rubber Plant
Do you watch Cecilia Blomdahl on RUclips? She is awesome and would be a good person to ask about travel to the northern lights and her q&a......
