I moved from H town to LA to Austin area so I totally understand why you have less plants. Im still going to move one more time probably in a few years. Im starting over with my collection. Moving is a lot.

It took me till in my 30s to now realize this but I couldn’t be in a better happy mental health state than what I’m in now! I love to see others finding their right vibes in life! Oh no need to be sad! Especially philodendron micans grows like crazy, I got a three leaf cutting this winter and it's a big boi now. That's pretty much what I'm doing these days as I live in a shared shoebox, I get tiny plants and wait for them to get bugger, hopefully to move with me into a bigger space. You can have your tree back in a couple of years!
I'm right by Tend, Tula House, and Greenery Unlimited in Greenpoint. You will love those shops!!! Especially Tula House! My Mom lives near Nelly's in East Williamsburg/Bushwick which is also solid for some great finds and uncommon plants. Have fun in BK and NYC! Born and raised here so I might be biased but.. best place ever 🤪😹
