I ran into a day stocker at Target who had a couple of HW boxes on her cart. I said it was good you folks are stocking at random hours to give others a chance. She told me a story of two shoppers that found her manager and complained that she wouldn’t give them the sealed case. I said, next time tell them to bring a few kids from the neighborhood that you’re going to treat to some HW, and maybe she’ll think about it. They never returned. Matchbox has caught my eye recently and yes that mr2 is a must have x2 min. Just found the white supra from matchbox that thing is sexy as is and cant wait until i find 2-3 more so I can custom at least 1. Great video Walter.
Awesome!!!! I just bought from Target the Matchbox Benz Unimog from 2006 but upgraded with rubber tires in an orange, green, and black camo paint job. It also came with an box with it in the blister pack. It is part of the collector line.
I always clean up after myself when I look on the pegs for Hot Wheels and Matchbox vehicles. Also sometimes I come upon an mess from another collector like seeing an pile of an number series of the Adult Collector line of Hot Wheels lined up on the shelf under the pegs. So I put them back on the pegs.
A couple of things ; talked with Walmart employees and unfortunately there are some bad people out there that sours the employees against the good collectors checking the pegs. All you can do is treat the employees with respect and I have gone through and cleaned up the mess in the aisle. 2nd I found after driving to various stores trying to score a chase all the stores in different areas are being fished. I stay local and switch up my times and have had luck. Wishing everyone good luck out there hunting.
I just spent two hours going through the biggest hot wheel Ben I have ever seen, I found two treasure hunts, the bus, theres no way that manny hot wheels got dumped, and there was only two treasure hunts in it. It was a 4x4x4 metal Ben Crazy!!
just recently found the channel, really enjoying it. I just opened the CLA and SL as well! I say the same thing about MBX but people just won’t have it
Hey Walter and Abbey ,(Oso Jackson) also sending prayers. Also sending full peg vibes to both of you great video G yeah congrates on the super finds of diecast vehicles peace to both of you.
The employee did a good thing, he could have kept them or held them for someone else.I was at Target and a gentleman gave three of his red editions. It was a very kind gesture. I hope I can pass it along. Oh and I never had seen a red edition before than.
Afternoon Walter and Oso. That's wild about the Wal Mart employee doing that, but I like that it's to teach a lesson to the messy collectors and or scalpers, and good on him for giving the cars to a special needs kid who loves Hot Wheels - now that's class! I am SO stoked for that F1 car, made sure to order 2. Some great finds in your travels! I'm still looking for that White Bone Shaker TH - has to be the hottest one this year! Ooh I like that convertible set, especially the Buick Skylark - NICE!
2 things. i live in a small town and everybody knows. it's essentially impossible to find the best stuff without being a sweaty loser. sure i've gotten lucky on occasion but if i go hunting every other day i'm leaving empty handed 75% of the time. i'm relatively new but i hit a hard wall quick because i refuse to buy cars i don't want just to collect. i think i just came too late. i have very much had to start looking at other brands and now prefer them to HW. i am now a matchbox man first and although they are even harder to find locally i've bought hundreds of mint old MB cars on ebay and i'm in love with them. i'll take maisto, majorette, johnny lightning, jada, and m2 over all the garbage HW left on pegs
The Silber Sau is a tribute of the ‘Red Pig.’ See the Magnus Walker commercial on it. Don’t forget about the yellow variant from the Team Transport set. The Aston Martin DB4 GT will be a super treasure hunt next year. The whole ‘Harlequin’ idea came from a 1964 printed ad for a multicolored VW Beetle boasting about how the body parts being interchangeable between the different years produced.
That’s cool the employee hooks the kid up and not mess makers. If you make a mess clean that shit up. Nice pickups Walter. I was expecting a package of cars today. When i got home no package. Email says delivered 10:30. My mail didn’t arrive until 4:30 today. So I’m dealing with this BS with USPS. All good no worries. Here’s one for you guys. My cousin got me the pink Surf Crate last year and was busting my balls because it’s pink. Like i give a fuck what color the car is. He’s bout a few of them and gave them all away. Then i realized it’s a treasure hunt and said thanks for the hook up on the treasure hunt. He lost his shit and wanted it back because he’s never found a treasure hunt. 😂 Not my problem. He got it for me just for the laugh. Karmas a bitch when your being a dick because the car was pink. 😂 Thanks for sharing and have a good day sir.
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 my post office went and retrieved my package today. When I got home from work it was on my porch. I got some of the same cars you got in your video. Few Porsches, 87 Audi, Nissan Skyline, 77 Firebird, King Kuda, and 95 Mazda RX-7. These are dope. Got the 75 Monte Carlo yesterday too. Missed it when it went on sale so i paid a little more but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Have a good day Walter.
I can say that for the Walmart employee in this video, I can see his point when people are acting like that. On the other hand, I feel like many Walmart employees are scalpers as well and cheating collectors out of having a chance to get these cars. I regularly look for chase and STH cars and not once have I ever scalped or sold a single one that I've found. Over the last 6 months I have not been able to find a single one at either Walmart or Target where I live. On multiple occasions I have seen Walmart employees taking advantage of their position to get these cars in advance of customers because they know they can make some money off them. Just today I had the rare chance of having a Friday off and went to Walmart to see if I could find anything in the morning. I came across a female employee that was probably about 20 years old and wearing a wedding ring. I watched as she pretended to work but was actually looking at the cars on the pegs trying to find STH cars. It was evident that she was doing it for her husband because I could tell she didn't know what she was looking for. She would randomly use her scanner to scan the barcode on the back of a car package and compare it to numbers she had listed on a notebook. I stood a few feet away from her for about 8 minutes watching her do this and she was oblivious that I was there watching. When she finally realized I was there, she looked startled and said sorry, my cart is in your way. She left her restock cart there and then went over to the dump bin and started doing the same thing to the cars there while I looked at the pegs.
This one doesn't bother me. If the employee is searching for cars during regular business hours, that is acceptable, as far as I am concerned. She is essentially just a customer, as I am. It's only when they have a built-in advantage that I get upset. For instance, if she were searching for these cars before the store opened, that would be upsetting to me, especially because she probably knows that the pegs were just stocked.
Did you hear the story or watch ricks toy room? He just posted a video about a guy who posted this himself on facebook...dude walks into a walmart and gets mad the employee wouldnt let him go thru 2 new cases. Dude goes home and calls walmart corporate, goes back to the same store later and tells a manager corporate told him he could do it ..manager pulls out the new cases and the guy posted his photos and story on a facebook group. What an ass, but yea the whole story on ricks toy room channel...im not a huge watcher of his, he admits to not leaving behind a treasure hunt when he has 15 of the same one, but interesting video about this dude who called the store

At my 4 local Walmart in CA 92551 , from 7pm to 11pm there is about 6-7 scalpers literally one on each aisle of the toys! One at the gate where the bring the pallets and 3 ready to scrap the pallets like bees!!! And this is also at 6am on ALL 4 Walmarts , not to mention then I saw these scalpers selling to the local toy store at the mall! And the. They re sell for 3x 4X higher plus tax, so a $1.25 car goes to $10-$15 and if it’s a chase they go to $60-$100 and that is my daily friend! This is the most disgusting reality of this collecting hobby” situation 💀
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623TY sir! Cherry on top, I keep my eye on 4 Dollar trees too, and worse part is not only 3 scalpers are always there 10min before they open, but THE MANAGERS! From these locations take all the TH and regular chases! And keep them to re sell it, one even told me, don’t waste your time coming early, I already put everything on the pegs. One day I saw 5 new boxes and they’re all opened by a scalper and didn’t even bother to hang them on the pegs, I can’t wait for my local Walmarts to start putting hot wheels and M2s on a glass cage! On the Walmart employee rant. The only thing I take issue with is…. it sounds like a generalization of all collectors as being “scum bag” aisle thrashers.
Sadly, lots of scum bags in the hot wheels community or subgroup of die cast. The more I step away from hot wheels and into other subgroups of higher end premiums, you have less and less shenanigans to deal with. This has been my experience collecting for 20yrs.🤷🏾♂️
Hey nice vid 😎 Actually it's a fan on the back of the Murray T50 that accelerates air passing under the car for some wicked downforce. Old tech that you probably know of on the banned Brabham BT46 and the even older Chaparral2J
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 Gordon Murray designed the BT46B as well. It ran one race, the '78 Swedish GP. Niki Laura drove it to victory by 34 seconds, though he claimed he never drove anywhere near the limit of grip provided by the fan. It was withdrawn from the championship afterwards in a show of solidarity with the union of independent F1 teams. The current Goodwood Hill Climb record holder, the McMurtry Spierling, is also a fan car.

Definitely ordered the F1 beauty. I agree more Formula One castings. Still have to order the Partridge family VW as i call it. The multi color sample panels on the Golf reminds me of the partridge family bus from the TV show I dont have a problem eith the Walmart guy with what he does. Goes to a good cause with the kid if true. Plus it reminds of the greed of the hobby. Most of the people that go at store opening are going to scoop up all the sth and th on the pegs to scalp and not clean up their mess. They miss out. Greed always has a punishment in life. Reminder of that

Hey Walter I took a break hot wheels hunting because I have a job for my band and I’m working a lot and I don’t have to do hot wheels hunting and I might be available to do some on weekends great idea
Mixed feelings about the Walmart employee. Nice that he’s doing a good deed but also is taking the chance for a collectors to go TH and supers. Maybe stock them at different times of the day
I saw a wrapped pallet fresh off the truck (I have a pic to prove it) in my local Walmart with an opened box of Mattel trolls dolls a few weeks ago. It looked to me like it was molested at the distribution site. Getting 1st dibs on items is a deserved perk of a retail job. However, I don’t like the distributor taking that privilege. And leave every display better than you found it!
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 In any event, it only shows the passion for the sport, it adds to the competition. I had one girl tell me she gives her boyfriend 1st dibs. That's a good girlfriend! It makes it all the more challenging and so much more rewarding when you find something special.
If that employee is actually taking everything at his store for the homie with DS then good on him.. but ONLY IF he’s actually doing it out of the kindness of his heart and not doing it to make a quick buck. It’s easy to say what he said. Actually doing it tho? That’s a different ballgame
I honestly think if u feel offended then maybe just maybe ur part of that problem it does clarify some stuff which would make us all a lil aggravated but u gotta be in it to win it an the employee is doin a great thing helping someone less fortunate to get out an hunt like we do thas just my 2 cents on this 🤷♂️

Matchbox is the realistic version of hot wheels hot wheels is the crazy versions of cars. I notice some people collect about every casting I am very particular about what I buy. EV’s are not a car. Not into the multi color golf I’ve seen a real one In real time I don’t like any VW after about 1985
The guy is surely showing some hatred while compensating with doing a good deed. He should find a way to address the problem of messy isles, and instead find supers and treasure hunts on his OWN spare time hunting like everyone else. Then give them away to others in need. Or would he give them away if you took away the hate.?
Walmart is not known for its ethics, just how stressful is a job at Walmart- isn’t tiding up displays part of their job? Kinda creepy if an employee is buying all the STH and TH in their store to spite customers! issue with hot wheels store displays mess is the design the pegs are the worst to browse especially if they’re all the way down to the floor!
I can't say I see anything "creepy" in this person's actions. Though motivated out of spite, totally within the bounds of the law. Most seem to see Robin Hood vibes... me included.
I understand the Walmart employees actions, but its not the collectors, it the resellers/scalpers. Real collectors have more respect than that, it only takes one jerk to give everyone else a bad name.
I don't agree with the vigilante Walmart employee acting out his vengance by scooping up all the Treasures on his break. Not all hunters are bad characters. I'm sad for anybody who can't make the hunt on their own like the kid he gives the TH's to but the hobby is designed like this, from factory to market, placing the product on the pegs for hunters. Cheating this simple process violates the intent and the expectation of every collector/ hobbyist. The stocking of HW should be fair and not taken advantage of by stock clerks engaged in insider exploitation.

Whoa. Not sure if I've seen that one
Gotta switch it up, and play a position of offense. 👊🏽
Walter that room is getting full !! !! Lol 😆
Oof.
I just spent two hours going through the biggest hot wheel Ben I have ever seen, I found two treasure hunts, the bus, theres no way that manny hot wheels got dumped, and there was only two treasure hunts in it. It was a 4x4x4 metal Ben Crazy!!
We can't overlook, other collectors, moms, kids, resellers, etc. Everyone is active
Chevelle SS was '22 Q case, first time as a basic. I'm surprised we did not see anything in at least '24 with another color or 2.
Yoo Walter great video and content as usual man 🎉🎉 awesome castings 💯
Thanks for riding
just recently found the channel, really enjoying it. I just opened the CLA and SL as well! I say the same thing about MBX but people just won’t have it
More for you and I. Lol. Thanks for riding along. 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
i primarily collect all black castings or Porsche Carreras 😵 g00d luck & enjoy life ~🤞😷🏁
Hey Walter and Abbey ,(Oso Jackson) also sending prayers. Also sending full peg vibes to both of you great video G yeah congrates on the super finds of diecast vehicles peace to both of you.
My dude. 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
The employee did a good thing, he could have kept them or held them for someone else.I was at Target and a gentleman gave three of his red editions. It was a very kind gesture. I hope I can pass it along. Oh and I never had seen a red edition before than.
Robin Hood!
Let’s go bro🎉
Ayyy!
Found the Aston today, really dig it. Pretty funny that the Bonneville version isn't fast in a straight line 🤣
It's for cruising the drag on Sunday nights. Lol.
Robin Hood
2 things. i live in a small town and everybody knows. it's essentially impossible to find the best stuff without being a sweaty loser. sure i've gotten lucky on occasion but if i go hunting every other day i'm leaving empty handed 75% of the time. i'm relatively new but i hit a hard wall quick because i refuse to buy cars i don't want just to collect. i think i just came too late.
i have very much had to start looking at other brands and now prefer them to HW. i am now a matchbox man first and although they are even harder to find locally i've bought hundreds of mint old MB cars on ebay and i'm in love with them. i'll take maisto, majorette, johnny lightning, jada, and m2 over all the garbage HW left on pegs
Sounds like the hobby has worked its magic on you
The Silber Sau is a tribute of the ‘Red Pig.’ See the Magnus Walker commercial on it.
Yup. We had the ad the dealership I spent a few years with. Just a phenomenal casting
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 I bought one and it will be displayed with the rest of the V-dubs.
Walmart Employee on eBay every night. 😂😂😂😂
Robin Hood is where I'm at
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 my post office went and retrieved my package today.
Traveling for work in STL and was able to find a couplr cool castings. Trying to focus on just picking up cool castings
Stay the path
I like a lot of matchbox cars because they’re stock and I can wheel swap and make them look resto mod like!
The qheels can stand to be swapped in most cases.
That Aston Martin looks like it was designed for the Bonneville salt flats
And would set records!
👍😎
My dude.
That's in the new car culture set. Hammer Drop. Not a new boulevard set.
Crazy how the critter looks right into the camera
His show
I actually just bought the Matchbox Collectors Audi today, it's one of the ones of the set I wanted.
Me too, but the m3 was the only one, and there were two audi.
So sad that an employee would do that. Employee doesn’t collect and takes all. Same as a scalper. 2 wrongs don’t make a right. Wow I’m blown away.
Just needed to share that we have more hurdles than we can consider
Just found Boulevard 718 Porsche, skyline (kdr30),libertywalk silva. Also found forza 911 gt3 to complete for a set
That's a great haul!
My local walmarts haven't got any hotwheels in months.
Plenty of other shops to get hot wheels. What city are you in?
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 Birmingham Alabama.
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 other stores for me is a Target which absolutely sucks. Dollar tree which has been good for me. Dollar general and a few family dollars. Dollar general is ok. I prefer random givey instead of 'guess' one. I'm a single parent of two and watch the videos out of sync sometimes, sometimes a little bit late. We members get more chances with the cool little spin thing you do

They did a 2024 F1 car..the E gen3 mainline
That's NOT Formula 1! Lol. Although, I do watch e gen, and have that casting as well as the mini gt
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 yea I know lol. I just wish that 25 dollar car had actual deco on it, the colors are so bland
Fire rescue is different from National parks
Yep
Just sounds trashy. Sorry my G, hopefully you've found a better angle
Like in LA county 😢😢😢
On the Walmart employee rant. The only thing I take issue with is…. it sounds like a generalization of all collectors as being “scum bag” aisle thrashers.
It's a generalization for sure, but it's pretty much true also. Very few respect the isles.
He's motivated for real reasons that affect his day on the job. I can't really fault the critter.
Gotta love the Chaparral j. They have indeed put fans on several different racing machines over the years
I just love that you said wicked. 💚💛❤️👊🏽 I know a little about the chapparel, and will research this bt46
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 I think you will love the 2JChaparral's innovation
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 Gordon Murray designed the BT46B as well. It ran one race, the '78 Swedish GP. Niki Laura drove it to victory by 34 seconds, though he claimed he never drove anywhere near the limit of grip provided by the fan. It was withdrawn from the championship afterwards in a show of solidarity with the union of independent F1 teams. The current Goodwood Hill Climb record holder, the McMurtry Spierling, is also a fan car.
Yes mazda 787 my favorite casting ever
It's really slick
Not the new boulevards but still very cool regardless.
Yep, I mis-speak from time to time.
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 it’s ok. My local Walmart had an employee pulling supers out of cases in the back room. Then proceeded to sell them on marketplace. Let’s just say he doesn’t do that anymore.
Definitely ordered the F1 beauty. I agree more Formula One castings. Still have to order the Partridge family VW as i call it. The multi color sample panels on the Golf reminds me of the partridge family bus from the TV show
I dont have a problem eith the Walmart guy with what he does. Goes to a good cause with the kid if true. Plus it reminds of the greed of the hobby. Most of the people that go at store opening are going to scoop up all the sth and th on the pegs to scalp and not clean up their mess. They miss out. Greed always has a punishment in life. Reminder of that

Confessions of. a. Walmart. Employee
Hey Kenny
Mixed feelings about the Walmart employee. Nice that he’s doing a good deed but also is taking the chance for a collectors to go TH and supers. Maybe stock them at different times of the day
I believe a lot of us did.
At the DC is next to impossible. Perhaps customers.
I honestly think if u feel offended then maybe just maybe ur part of that problem it does clarify some stuff which would make us all a lil aggravated but u gotta be in it to win it an the employee is doin a great thing helping someone less fortunate to get out an hunt like we do thas just my 2 cents on this 🤷♂️
I like your outlook on the situation. 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Nahh homie fibbin

Matchbox is the realistic version of hot wheels hot wheels is the crazy versions of cars. I notice some people collect about every casting I am very particular about what I buy. EV’s are not a car. Not into the multi color golf I’ve seen a real one In real time I don’t like any VW after about 1985
I'm obviously stoked! Lol. That's what I love about volkswagen 2013 and earlier... You had to be an enthusiast to love the collection.
Some folks are out of control
With diecast cars just saying
Bruh, just bruh
The guy is surely showing some hatred while compensating with doing a good deed. He should find a way to address the problem of messy isles, and instead find supers and treasure hunts on his OWN spare time hunting like everyone else. Then give them away to others in need. Or would he give them away if you took away the hate.?
I can understand this stance. He's not a collector is what he said.... so it's strictly out of spite
Look it first s
Ayyy
I understand the Walmart employees actions, but its not the collectors, it the resellers/scalpers. Real collectors have more respect than that, it only takes one jerk to give everyone else a bad name.
That's the problem... it's tough to know who is the problem
It's struck people differently
I've watched your show and I appreciate and have learned a lot and I know that you like the people to share their opinions @@thehotlineofdiecast.7623
I don't believe that employees reason...he's really just trying to screw the community just to screw it because of his position.
