YES! Great man! You also managed to fix the backing track. As the matter of fact I just wrote you an email a few days ago about the backings but the mail server rejected it...
Thanks Adam, yes, my email address died as the service provider went out of business, I'll send you my new one. For the backing track I ended up using a mix of the isolated tracks I sent you and a Riffstation track with the guitar removed. I eq'd it a little bit and it worked fine. I was wondering if you were ever going to do this one. :D I'm running out of Machine Head covers!

mgalbu I really should try this Riffstation software. Checked it out and looks neat. Yeah so what I meant was - and I guess we already talked about this - that maybe I am a leo is tricky with the multitracks, but I get it now that you mentioned you mixed it with the Riffstation track. I am actually looking forward to cover this song, especially the second solo in the end. By the way yes you almost done with Machine Head! What's next, what's your next favourite?
DogwithtwoBones Got it! I'll send you my new address soon. Riffstation is really good but it's also limited by the quality and definition of the original recording. I tried it with songs from Fireball and WDWTWA and the results were not that great. It removes the guitar but as a result the track sounds too "out of phase" and buzzy. It's good enough to play at home but for a good sounding video cover it's a bit lacking.
The second solo on this song is one of my favourites both in terms of sound and playing. Looking forward to hear your cover. I had posted a video of it some time ago and then removed it because it had some playing mistakes and the sound was awful. I re-recorded it yesterday when I found a moment but I didn't have the time to put it together for upload. This time the sound is right and the notes are correct.
From Machine Head I'd like to figure out the second "Lazy" solo next, very difficult one. From Fireball I'd really like to record the main solo section from "No No No" if I had the original backing tracks. Riffstation can't isolate that one, the slide section being the worst because of all that reverb and whatnot. :)

top job again my friend. Hardest thing ever is getting Ritchie's tone and vibrato. the scalloped neck - is that how the guitar came or have you done it? also what are the CS69 pickups? did you put them in?
Thanks Robin! I did the scalloping myself following pictures of Blackmore's guitar. The pickups came with the guitar, I ordered it like that from the Custom Shop. Cheers, M.

Rainbow con Dio mi piace da morire ma l'unico assolo che ho mai imparato è quello di "Starstruck"...lo farei volentieri se ci fossero anche 'ste tracce isolate...! :D
