Basically, I sent it to an authorized independent DeLongi repair shop. They repaired it and sent it back. When I got it back, it was doing what's in this video. So the video was created to show the repair shop exactly what I was experiencing when they got it back. Ultimately, my recollection is that that had to replace the circuit board, to a tune of about $200, I think. That was a couple years ago and it has worked fine since then, with one exception. Maybe one of you that owns one can help if this has happened to yours. Occasionally (say 1 of 5 times used), a portion of the espresso drips down the inside of the door and into the catch pan. My best guess is that the tube that raises up and strikes the levered funnel is not lifting up far enough. This causes some of the espresso to drizzle down the edge of the hinged funnel and then down the inside of the door. Some of it also drizzles down the outside of the door so it's not just a matter of a smaller espresso shot, but also a mess to clean up the outside of the door. Anyone else have this happening and know of a solution? The shop told me they hadn't seen this happen and that i should lubricate the hinges/spring(s) on the hinged funnel, but that didn't do anything.
Christopher Herndon If you're talking about the lights flashing and staying on, they fixed that by replacing the circuit board. If you're talking about the portion of espresso that leaks down the inside of the door and collects in the pan, I never did find a solution to that and it still occasionally happens. The repair shop didn't know what the issue could be (troubleshooting over the phone) and hadn't heard of that issue before. I've just learned to live with the fact that I lose about 20% of a shot probably every 1/20th of a time I use it.
Hello Friends, I have been happy with our DeLonghi Magnifica 3300. I resolved the leaking issue by replacing the tap. Simple operation. Now I need to replace the micro chip because the machine requests to "empty the grounds container", when actually the container is empty. So therefore, the machine would start. I would be grateful if anybody could point where the micro chip is located?
I need Help with my DeLonghi Magnifica , keeps showing the light that the Coffee container is empty and , nothing stock on the grinder I took it out and it works fine . Thank you
Hello, i have opened my ESAM 300 MAGNIFICA puting the tray also but i forgot to put the mill..Now i can not adjust it beause the system has changed place...what shall i do..?
Here is some info on what I found out with mine. My light that says it's out of water was flashing and no more coffee. It went in for repairs and they replaced the flometer and Sensor reed and it was fine for about a year then the same issue. I contacted a seattle repair and was going to send it in. The guy actually sent and email with some tips. Here is the email conversation and I will try to cut past the photos as well. This fixed it. At least for now.: My Delonghi Magnifica automatic espresso machine keeps having water flow problems this is the second time this has happened. It stop flowing water and the red lights come on. I took it into a repair shop about a year ago. They supposedly fixed it. Now it is doing the same thing again. I have tried all the in-home trials they had me do from the Delonghi customer services to know avail. I don't want to take it back to the same repair place in Covina. It was far away. I made 4 trips because they said they fixed it but had to go back, they said it was fine but now it's not. Cost me 200.00 bucks and now it's doing the same thing and it was not that long ago but too long to be under the warranty. Hi Carol, That's actually a well-known (to us, anyway) issue with the 3300 model; the wiring harness for the water flowmeter can be lose on the board so it will work for a while but gradually build up resistance and interfere with the machine getting the signal that water is flowing, thus triggering the blinking water light. Usually just pulling and re-seating the plug resolves the issue permanently, but sometimes we have to replace the wiring harness/flowmeter. If there's someone there handy with a screwdriver the wiring harness is very easy to get to, and simply unplugging it and plugging it back in may fix the problem, or at least buy you another year. If you'd rather send it to us that's fine too, just let me know how you'd like to proceed. Thanks, Could you send me a picture of the wiring harness. There is a lot of plugs back there. I don’t know witch one it is. I have tried to find a diagram of it. I unplugged several and plugged them back in. Hi Carol, Here you go. The wires on this machine are white but yours may be a different color. Unplug the harness from the top of the flowmeter as well as from the power board, then plug them back in and make sure they're firmly seated. If that doesn't solve your problem then replacing the wiring harness and/or the flowmeter itself may be necessary. I was unable to past the pictures but if you look at a diagram on this model look for the plugs near the flometer and unplugg and plugg and make sure its tight. This worked for me.
I am having a problem with my machine. Beans are not feeding down to grinder. I can hear the grinder run and it sounds empty. I suspect it's because I used oily beans. How do I resolve this issue? Everything else seems to be operating fine.
Hi Meredith: DeLongi told me to send it in for repair and suggested this company. I have no affiliation with them, but I sent them my Magnifica, they repaired it, and I do recommend them. Tell Andrea and Karl that Tony from Orlando said Hi and congrats on their successful move to SC. Good luck! You can find them at smart-deco (dot) com

Pretty simple... Just byppas microswitch marked on the mainboard as M3 and connect to the socket and it will reset yourself...
