ThankYou so much for this video I watched so many and they did not help me with the infuser stuck in the high position for 2 hrs I tried to put the in fuser back in after I took it out before the machine fully stopped new to the expresso world I learned a valuable lesson wait for the machine to fully shut off before removing the infuser without your video i still would have been stuck THANKS AGAIN you are doing a wonderful job.
Thank you!! This was the only thing that helped me reset the position of my Delonghi Magnifica Xs from the stick on the top position. I first had to disassemble the machine and remove the transmission. Take out the infuser; clean it and everything else. Lube the parts and then put all back together. Now your step was required and couldn’t find anyplace else that had this. Thank you!!
Had similar problem a while back on this machine, for me it ended up being the brass block that travels up and down the threaded rod at the back needed replacing as the threads had stripped. Easy enough to tear down this unit and there are videos that show you how.
What were you thinking? Let's run this machine with the bottom tray removed and see if it still works? Removing the bottom tray and trying to use the machine will give an error message as there is a sensor checking for the presence of the tray. Of course you ended up with an infuser in a strange place, having ignored the alarm lights. RTFM.
I have problem with my Delonghi. Infuser is stucked in up position, machine was dead. I manually turned small pulley by hand and get down the infuser. But machine still ni working at all. I think must be on main board problem. Did u change whole board?
Anyone manage to fix this problem? I'm trying to fix a machine a little older than in the video... Still Magnifica but has ground coffee scoop instead of ECO button on right..

I had similar problem. I tried switching off machine with power switch on a back several times and it helped.

My mother spent 400 on this same unit on ebay. Same issue is happening. I opened it up and got it out only to have it do the same thing as before.

There is a push button sensor that stops the motor when the infuser is in "brewing" position.
Looks like this is where the problem is.

Board problem. Hard reset dont work ( rinsing+eco and power on ON). Insert power board and OK.
