- I was honored to be the guest for the July 30, 2023 episode of C-SPAN's Washington Journal.
We talked about the current state of politics in America, and how things will probably get even worse during the 2024 campaign season.
Thanks Frank keep the positivity coming! You show a great example of admitting fault, keeping a hard eye on the truth and listening to others. Freedom and democracy!

I used to watch this show every day, back when people discussed policy and issues.
And they still do, just because you don't like the message doesn't mean they aren't talking about what is important.
Frank , i was also young when I started listening to you. Now I too am old but I will always turn to you to hear what's really going on. Thank you so very much.
Get your news from the court, dockets and Senate hearings forget the reporters and people like this man tell you what they want you to believe, rather than allowing you to look at information and evidence to determine what to believe yourself. These people think we stupid.

there is a video entitled 'GOP Strategist Easily Outwits MAGA Moron In Epic Fashion' that uses a clip from this interview and has almost 200K views. It is exactly what Mr. Luntz is fighting against.
It sounds to me that this guy is in favor of politicians and our president, being polite rather than protecting our sovereignty and getting rid of the garbage that has infiltrated the highest powerful positions of our company.,
I used to really think Frank had his hand on the pulse, but he has really stepped out of touch in a lot of ways. Not as badly as most people in the media, but still he is really missing something when he talks about the specifics of Trump or Biden. He doesn't seem to really get that. When he talks in generalizations he is fine, but not when he talks in specifics.
Specifically where was he wrong about Trump and Biden .
His point about early ballots being counted last was spot on ..
In fact in some ways he was unfair on Biden regarding inflation in that inflation is worldwide so even if Trump was president gas prices would still have been high

@@mikedon5205 I agree the entire world was going through massive inflation…this aired 7 months ago when the republicans were still using the “gas is 7 dollars gallon” crap talking point…. now the economy has recovered past the point of where trump had it before covid. The US is producing more oil right now than any country in history. Stock market, unemployment, and job creation are all the best they have ever been

Thank you Frank for being who you are. I will always tune in and listen to what you have to say. You are a true American and I can only imagine the backlash you have and do face. I hope you will guide your fellow Americans through what I believe will be braking of our democracy if he is elected again. I can only hope those in power will open their eyes and do the right thing.

The caller from Alabama is indicative of the problem that Trump and the Republican have created. The woman named Amie obviously doesn't know how the government works and these are the majority of the Trump followers. There lack of knowledge and the way they consistently see events thro😮ugh their bigotry is what is harming this country. If you cannot deal with facts, you are a danger to Democracy.

Hey Frank, I don't agree with your politics, but your analysis is spot on. You and Jonathan Haidt should do a debate/interview. You have very similar baselines for the social media effect on politics.

Today I watched Mr. Lutz in an interview from 2 yrs ago and he mentioned he has underlying health conditions and if he got C***d it would kill him. So maybe he is unwell?

Who will you vote for if it's Biden and Trump again.? I voted for Biden last time but will vote for Trump this time. BOTH are corrupt. Biden is simply destroying the middle class.
I appreciate that Frank Luntz wasn’t a partisan but looking at evidence. He recognizes the disconnect of reality and the GIOP voters and their perception. He also recognizes that Trump and his supporters simply won’t accept factual reality. Good on CSPAN for having this echoed to the masses.

He wasn't my first choice in 2020 and I'd really hoped he wouldn't run again. But here we are. I will absolutely vote for Biden in 2024 because I don't believe this country would survive another Trump presidency.

What people have done is take every one of these bullshit conspiracy talking points and show how they're false. It's been show in over 60 courts of law how the "stolen election" narrative has no factual basis. What you refuse to accept is that DJT is a conman that tried to subvert the vote to stay in power and now he's potentially going to spend the rest of his life in prison for it. Stop being so naive.
He didn't say early voting caused Trump to lose. He was saying the delayed results made people suspicious. How do you prove something didn't happen, other than debunk any evidence to the contrary. I believe that's been done. They couldn't get a single judge to try the case because they had nothing real.
It wasn't stolen because nobody stole it. Americans voted, the votes were counted and Trump lost because there were more people who wanted him OUT than who wanted him back in. It's as simple as that. The voting system works, the checks and balances and authentications work, the recounts in close-run races confirm that the system works.

Sorry - can't really listen to Frank Lutz any longer - clearly so partizan. Frank doesn't let anyone who might be opposition finish their thoughts - he interrupts and says... let me ask you a question then argues with them. He doesn't really let them finish.
It sounds like you are perhaps entrenched in your position and sensitive to issues you believe in being challenged. He said it himself, he feels he has a responsibility to tell the truth and not just listen to folks. The reason he interrupted was he was seeking to inform the callers when they started to go down a line of misinformation. For example, the caller from Alabama spoke about Trump draining the water from the swamp to reveal the swamp creatures. He interjected and provided information on spending Trump wanted to do which ties in nicely as to what the swamp entails. It sounds like you only want to hear what you want to hear and will ignore or dismiss information that runs contrary to your way of thinking. This is exactly what Luntz feels is destroying America. “I don’t like what you are saying, it sounds unfair, so I’m taking my ball and going to another playground where everyone agrees with me”

There is no convincing these Trumper's of the truth. RW media, especially Fox News should be held accountable.
What should be done about RW/Fox News? Should they be arrested and what charges? Should they be censored? Should we have a government agency that arrests and imprison those whose opinions are different than ours?
The FCC could play a role in minimizing the amount misinformation produce from media organizations like FoxNews, NewsMax etc. Their licenses should be put in jeopardy. Run a warning banner at the bottom of the screen whenever they're on the air, so all advertisers and customers could see it. @@richmotroni
I am a Republican that is convinced that Trump lost, but how about CNN and MSNBC who cover the negatives on Trump constantly but protect their viewers from all the bad Biden news?? Should they be held accountable as well? The omission of the truth is also wrong! I don't love Trump, but I see nothing that Biden is doing to bring down the cost of things in America. I also was appalled that Biden went against the General's advice and left 13 of our soldiers behind in Afghanistan to be KILLED.
