The only other book I would have added was "Kiss Alive Forever" by Gooch and Suhs. I love live recordings by all of my favorite bands and this book was really incredible. Great video and Joe is an awesome addition to the show. Also, I really love and appreciate the videos done by Nicholas Buckland and I can't wait for his book to finally come out!

Great show guys..... One that I was surprised it didn't get mentioned that I use for reference all the time is Alive Forever... After watching your show though definitely need to track down Julian's on tour book. I look forward to the next episode.I think a great episode would be if you did essential make up less merchandise. Since there was so little of it I would be curious what would make the top 5 or top 10

Andrew, I'm interested in a PDF version. I got my book at the Friday night reunion show in Philadelphia at the then Core States Center. I believe they played three nights in Philly. Mine had 6 signatures including Bruce and Eric. Sadly, it was starting to get a bit ragged and I sold it. Definitely interested in a PDF copy

AG here. I have the Ace and Peter version of KISStory too. None of those were numbered so I can confirm that. I have Bruce and Eric subsequently sign mine.

Great episode guys. Thank you for that.
You asked for more info about the book from photographer Didi Zill (Dieter Zill). I do have the book and it's mostly KISS pictures with some text written by Jens Reimnitz. The book shows the era from 1976 (first european tour) till may 1990 live in the USA. Didi did seven sessions in total with KISS (live and studio) in the USA and in Germany. All KISS work he did was for German pop magazine BRAVO that published his pictures regularly in poster format or to go with KISS articles.
    Hardcover
    Total Pages: 344
    Language: German/English
    Publisher: Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf
    Bookstatus: out- of- print
    Robert Duncan - KISS
You showed also Robert Duncan - KISS. I do have the other copy that Andrew showed on his smartphone. The frontcover is different and it shows the Author Robert Duncan with the demon mask. The backcover is different too. On my edition it says: KISS POWER! instead of PUNK POWER! Publisher is Original Hits by Omnimedia.

Hey guys I like these “eSsential ” shows you been doing. Joe is a great addition to the show. I like you top 5 book picks. I remember buying that Robert Duncan book when it came out when I was in 5th grade. Other good books I like : Behind the Mask, Kiss Klassified and Kiss Fanzine book. Prolly wouldn’t count as a book but I really like the Butterfields Auction book.
What was the book Joe mentions toward end of episode.. 500 page ?? Sounds cool. I need to get before Andrew beats me to eBay!!
