The passing of LG hit me hard as well. I did not have a clue of his illness until last Monday. We are supposed to mourn during a loss so we can remember and bring back all the good memories so our dear ones never die. Take care everyone!
I lost my dad to cancer 3 weeks ago. I understand how you feel about losing someone close to you that you've had great experiences with. My dad and I went to 50 or more concerts together, mostly metal. I have him to thank for getting me into this music and buying me my first ever guitar. But we all have to keep on keeping on. We're all in this together.

Left Hand Path was a game changer. You just knew it first time you played that album. LG Petrov, one of those few distinctive voices in death metal, it saddened me deeply when I heard of his passing. Another little piece of my youth gone. Rest in peace.

I'm glad I had a chance to see the them (minus Nicke) perform in the US back in the early 2000s. I would still absolutely love to see a Coffee with Ola with Uffe and Alex. They absolutely defined the sound of their genre. And the way they used blue style solos with heavier music was just mind blowing at the time. I also recommend checking out DCLXVI: To Ride, Shoot Straight, and Speak the Truth - the opening riff from this video is from that album. The whole thing is amazing.
Duplo is not the clone. "Kinder" is just a sub-brand of "Ferrero" and Duplo is Ferrero Duplo. So it's just more focussed on the adults. But you are right, Lidl, Aldi etc all have their low-price clone, which are really as good as the original.
That album of entombed you recommended really sounds like a combination of Face Down (the twisted rule the wicked) and Dismember(massive killing capacity). RIP LG. thanks !!!!

Lars AND the rest of BOTH versions of Entombed were absolutely kickass! (Although I prefer their earlier albums the best) We in my 1st band always referred to the voicing they used alot, (you know the one) as the Entombed chord, and started using it ourselves. ("Add that Entombed chord there instead man!") I counted myself lucky enough to have seen them here in 'The States' a few times. The last being their outing with Amon Amarth as headliner. Hey Ola! I'm sorry for the long comment, but I have a lot of respect for you and thought I'd ask for some advice. I'm going through probably the worst period in my life. Life during the pandemic, Loneliness and other factors in my life are making me feel like I'm falling out of love with music, playing guitar, recording/mixing and all those things which were my life, the things I loved the most, also unfortunately the only things I think I am good at doing. I'm really losing interest in playing, guitars, gear, I haven't touched my guitars in weeks, which had never happened before in 15 years of playing. My relationship with the guitar and music has been the longest relationship in my life but as I said, the pandemic (so not being able to play live anymore for god knows how much time to come), some unpleasant events in my working and private life, the lack of purpose and consequently deep depression made me feel this way, and I've never felt this way before. I can't stress how terrible and depressing it feels, to the point where I'm seriously considering quitting music, which is terrifying. I'm reaching to you anonimously and don't want to seem like the type of persons that throws his personal life problems around the internet, but I thought it was worth reaching out to you in some way, since I have a lot of respect for you. Do you think it's normal to feel this way? Did it ever happen to you?
When I was a kid my mom used to give me an allowance each week that I would spend on guitar strings and new music. I got left hand path on a whim and was pleasantly surprised this was before wolverine blues so I never heard of them before. I lucked out so much in the late 80's and 90's randomly picking out albums at the music store. I couldn't do that after 2000. It sucks hearing someone pass too soon. I hope I die before Bill Steer or Mike Patton.
Duplo and Kinder are both made by Ferrero, that's why they look similar (corporate design). Twix was called Raider in Germany until the late 80ies or early 90ies. There was a nostalgia edition of Twix some time ago, where they called it Raider again. Maybe Ola is referring to this? But he's right the Discounters have their own brands of groceries, usually made by the original companies under that label.

I'm really losing interest in playing, guitars, gear, I haven't touched my guitars in weeks, which had never happened before in 15 years of playing. My relationship with the guitar and music has been the longest relationship in my life but as I said, the pandemic (so not being able to play live anymore for god knows how much time to come), some unpleasant events in my working and private life, the lack of purpose and consequently deep depression made me feel this way, and I've never felt this way before. I can't stress how terrible and depressing it feels, to the point where I'm seriously considering quitting music, which is terrifying. I'm reaching to you anonimously and don't want to seem like the type of persons that throws his personal life problems around the internet, but I thought it was worth reaching out to you in some way, since I have a lot of respect for you. Do you think it's normal to feel this way? Did it ever happen to you?
When I was a kid my mom used to give me an allowance each week that I would spend on guitar strings and new music. I got left hand path on a whim and was pleasantly surprised this was before wolverine blues so I never heard of them before. I lucked out so much in the late 80's and 90's randomly picking out albums at the music store. I couldn't do that after 2000. It sucks hearing someone pass too soon. I hope I die before Bill Steer or Mike Patton.

Duplo and Kinder are both made by Ferrero, that's why they look similar (corporate design). Twix was called Raider in Germany until the late 80ies or early 90ies. There was a nostalgia edition of Twix some time ago, where they called it Raider again. Maybe Ola is referring to this? But he's right the Discounters have their own brands of groceries, usually made by the original companies under that label.
