I love how you say it’s outrageous pricing when you sell them for just as much.
He sells them for more that’s the best part😂
@@tmer3806 because they can actually get it sold
Everyone wants low prices right
@@tmer3806 I’ve been flipping before any of these dude 20plus years ago…but I never once question prices if they are what they are going for…making videos is speeding up the process of it becoming a dead market. Everyone thinks they can do it now.
Foreal. He’s part of the reason the video game market is so fuct
That chuckle you gave after the store worker said "and some people pay $60 for it" 🤣
hes like yup i know
That 2nd TF store has the worst utilization of space I’ve ever seen.
At least there is room to walk around if it is crowded, but they could have gotten a smaller space
That's exactly what I said as soon as he entered
I watch your vids because I can no longer game hunt because of vids like this lol Competition is too crazy right now.
Yeah you’re not wrong, kinda bittersweet to be the cause of that tbh
@@PhoenixResale it's reselling in general. It's also bad business practice on behalf of these types of companies. A physical in-store classic/pre-owned game will never sell for as much as the same product online because of the perception of the buyer. The physical stores should be where you can find something at a regular, or bargain, price, instead of the inflated collector's price.
I still have my Muppet Monster Ps1 game. I got it at least 12-14 years ago at an auction with my grandpa. It was bundled with a system amongst other great games too. Made some of the best memories with my grandpa at those auctions every tuesday
Great video caleb! I live about half an hour from etown and didn't know about the TF Game store thanks for the tips!
videos like this has been causing my local game stores to increase there prices
Loool
@@Rohgamu it is English
Same, I love this guys videos but it’s impossible to get retro games in my city without spending $100+ per game (examples: Luigi’s mansion at the store near my house is $150.99 PLUS tax, what the fuck is that.
@@aidyn6508 that’s why I stick to pawn shops.
@@aidyn6508 bro you have to hunt to get it at a low price
wont buy a $40 game to sell at $70 with $25 profit after fees. will buy a $5 game to sell for a $2 profit after fees....
The sealed atv off-road fury 2 game for ps2 is a good find. I remember playing that kid as a game and always enjoyed it. I would love to own that game again, especially the one you found!
Great haul at the video game stores and congrats on the Imaginators pickup. I thought the lady at the last store was pretty cool and I like her old school Simpsons shirt. Keep up the great work Caleb!
Thanks brother!
I love the fact that I can basically just watch your videos and plan out my own game hunting trips now.
Be careful, this guy makes his money from videos mainly. He doesn't need to share all his best secret money maker items. These could just be the best crumbs lying around
@@chrishansen5784 this guy gets it
@@chrishansen5784 not only that, his videos cause the prices to go up in retro games lol.
I’m starting a drinking game for every time “Folks “ and “Let’s Go!…” is said
Wooo, Elemental Gearbolt, Ogre Tactics, Agarest War, all these classics.
Speaking Elemental Gearbolt, Working Designs was really ahead of their time. Had they last to PS3 era, they would’ve blossomed.
I'd be curious to see a follow up video that shows what all of these games actually sell for.
I remember seeing a ton of that Skylander stuff for xbox one marked down to a dollar each at Walmart a few years ago.
most of it is still a dollar lol.
there are a handful of rare figures.
some as much as 500.
I was a manager at Walmart like 6 years ago. I had tons of boxes of that crap marked down cause it NEVER sold
I was litterly waiting for a new vid of Phoenix Resale 💪🏼
Same here 😂
Yessirrrr
Oh were you, cool story bro
Thanks DGH! Yeah I’ve been grinding out 3/week for a while now so it’s a good sign people have gotten used to it!
Thursday was the first time in that cycle I’ve missed in a while.
I remember buying ATV off-road 2 for £50 when I got my PS2 for the first time way back when 😅
I love that you used the Gorudo valley song in the beginning! Thank you for that lol
Dang, I want to go to that first shop all of a sudden. First shop had Dragon Quest 6 and Dragon Quest 9. I need those.
Haven’t watched the whole video yet, but it’s pretty cool to know he was at a game store that’s literally 5 minutes up the road from me.
Look for H seams on sealed NES games. Essentially that goes for SNES, Gameboy, etc... Should be a seam all the way across the back connecting the 2 side seams and basically forming the letter H... Hence the term "H Seam". There are some instances where games don't have an H Seam... Some N64 games have overlapping seams.
The looseness on the back of Hitman along with the jank to the left and right of the bottom seal make it look like a re-seal. The rippling on the front left looks like someone tried to shrinkwrap it with a heat gun but poorly.
you're 100%correct that looked like a loose wrap.
Every time the street fighter sound comes on I be thinking you finna play some Bryson tiller 🤣🤣🤣 shit get me lit for a split second
Love it Phoenix keep grinding. You and Chase are the best in video games. I’ve learned a lot
From Owensboro, Kentucky. First two videos I've seen you've been in my area hah. Guess I should stay on the couch.
Awesome video, nice haul. So much great stuff
Come to NY I have many systems and we can go hunting in the areas thank you for all that you really enjoy it all the best keep em coming
Like that you wore the Kentucky shirt you found in a previous ep :)
Solid pickups! Its always awesome to find thoes hidden gem spots and pulling profit out of them! Thanks for the video!
Love game hunting videos! New subscriber here!
In that first store it looks like they're pricing the boxed NES games and loose. And some prices are out of whack, like kickle cubicle for anymore than 30-35. If fire n ice loose is under 100 which it looks to be, that's a underpriced game as well!
I just love the Dragon Quest music in the background tbh
Yooooo Elizabethtown! I was born there! Haven’t lived there in over a decade but it’s a nice place to live imo
I still have my Tales of Xillia limited edition in the box it came in, not sealed, but it also came with a music CD that should be around here somewhere.
diggin the gerudo valley vibe:)
I actually remember picking up skylanders on switch day one and still have my complete copy.
I found god hand along with 13 great ps2 games all for $50 on a garage sale, seeing this just gives me that familiar feeling of finding an awesome game for a good price
You should come visit Paducah KY. We have a pretty solid game store in town, also some good pawn shops.
If Nintendo launches a retrocompatible handheld this bubble would pop real quick.
We aren't in q video game bubble.. retro games will always cost.more. red blue yellow crystal gold and silver were qll digital on the 3ds and still were going for 100. Hell diamond and pearl remakes jus came out and the OGs are going or 120
@@smhgaming3259 that's not the same as a retrocompatible handheld
@@salarecreativa nor is a retro compatible handheld the same as the individual cartridges. If you create a retro handheld WITHOUT also re-producing the original content those games will further inflate given the increased demand for them
dude those gerudo jams are amazing!
loved countdown vampires back when i was a kid.
i loved how it was just like resident evil but with vampires. i also enjoyed the look of the tattoo the guy had.
i was 18 when i got that game. i told myself that i would get his tattoo once i could afford it. 15 years later i had the money.
though i ended up getting mine in red. it was the only ps1 game i had kept. so i could have my artist look in the manual to see the tattoo.
Damn elemental gearbolt; I remember that shooting game from when I was younger...should've kept my old games......
@7:19 I have been looking for that Twilight princess forever! $20 is amazing!
Your content is amazing
Damn really feel old when he calls atv off road fury 2 vintage lol, what a great game that was
Your really far from Phoenix. I’m traveling there next week. What game stores do you recommend?
Good finds my friend, nice video !!
What’s the app called that you use to scan the games? Interested in giving game flipping a go myself
Some 🔥finds Caleb.
I like buying imports and I try to find the cheapest price before make a decision, but I say this when I paid almost $200 for both Atelier Ryza games (not including all the paid dlc in eshop) and $30 for Peachball on Amazon. Paid $80 for japanese version of DOA Extreme 3 Scarlet as well. What i dont get tho is why Kill La Kill is so cheap. Its rare and its actually a decent fighting game. If havent played it i suggest trying out the demo on eshop, but if ever find in stores your lucky. As for switch physical prices i dont mind paying over $60 if its an import or collectors edition.
This happened to me once, i walked into gamestop found 2 games for 1 cent each. Bought them both no problems
I wish my local stores had these kind of prices
Did you check that vampire game for the second disc? Almost looks like it's in there. Some people don't know about the second layer to the case.
It totally had it!
@@PhoenixResale That's what we like to see!
I love all your videos :D
Awesome!! 🙌
yooo this is my hometown store, i frequent these weekly!
Where is this?
@@puffthestuff7445 Elizabethtown, KY
Same.... lol
Which disc of Countdown Vampires do you have? I only have one disc as well. I have disc 1 with no case.
That first shop was very clean
Hey the way I look at it... the prices will go up regardless. Anytime a game (a high demand game) goes out of production the price will naturally go up, might as well ride the wave!
Ju-on the grudge was at that first stop couldn't make out the price however
I totally remember playing that at offroad fury 2 at my grandparents house when I was younger
Thanks for greduo desert remix I loved that
I know this is a long shot but I’ve been looking for a cope of Need for Speed Underground for GameCube. Do you have one for sale?
If that seal was original that would be a 9+ graded, beyond new looking plastic. But the easy thing to tell you is no H-seam. It is a decent reseal though.
That countdown vampires I bought for 9.99 at toysrus when I was younger
Hi i miss watching this youtube channel..fan from the philippines
Free game, this amigo really putting everyone on! 🔥
Nice! You came to ETown!!!
Old school NES seal feels like Pokémon Elite Trainer Box seal, soft. Resealed is hard plastic. At least it was definitely soft material when I opened my TMNT Arcade. I know because I like to keep my items complete including wrappers, lol.
This makes me want to start my own ps2 collection, sweet memories 👌
It sucks that I can't find any gaming stores in my area, I found one thats near me it seems like I have to drive hours away from where I live to find other stores.
Here i was thinking “why the games look bent” then I realized the fisheye effect from the camera makes it look bent lol
How can I find that version of the zelda soundtrack
i need to know the music in 0:48 ?? can any one help with that ?
12:49 dude I loved Crash Team Racing for the PS1
keep in mind if you want to flip like this, consider it an investment and don't feel rushed to sell it so you can buy more to sell. It could take months for some of these items
kicking myself for passing up on that head coach bundle, at a thrift store last week
These kinds of folks are the types that real gamers and collectors despise. These A-hole resellers are what have destroyed video game collecting over the last 15 years. Go to every store, wipe out all decently priced items then resist them at 200 percent the original asking prices.
Oh no someone making money with there passion for video games what ever will we do cmon bro you know someone with this much knowledge has to also be a collecter themselves and even then its exactly what these retail stores do they undercut you on a trade deal and sell it higher then they bought it just business my man i love the idea and as a collector myself i plan to start reselling also which will add to my collection and also add to my bank account
That’s everything right now. Video games, sneakers, clothing, pokemon and sports cards, etc. People gotta find a side hustle nowadays
Scalpers.
What program do you use to scan the games
So jealous of all the secondhand video game shops you have in America, we don't have any shops like that here in Thailand :(
This is not all of America. I live near Baltimore and doesn't have anything like this near me
Asks permission to record game but not the entire shopping trip😭😂🤙
Question, do you test all your games or sell them as is?
Bro you're killing it
Elemental Gearbolt...somewhat uncommon...a bit of an understatement
What’s the app you use to figure out prices on games?
Its an instant nightmare when I see places that put stickers right onto the retro game's label! AAARRRRGGGHHHHH
I have atv fury 2!! Played the hell out of it growing up still have it too how cool
I visited these stores when working at the local hospital setting up their IT network. Fun fun.
What Amazon app do you use to check prices?
Played Mupper Monsters as a kid. I just emulate the stuff now a days but it's cool to see how much that game is worth.
For real. All the old games I grew up with are way too expensive.
Show us a tour of your game collection one day
How crazy to strike out in yard sales but then profit this much from game stores :p would love to see yard sale clips again
I’ve had multiple yardsale vids this month!
I would just assume all these places also look up the value especially for older games. Would never think I could resell from places like this. Cool stuff.
Nah. Doing that for every product each time it came into the store would be a nightmare. Unless it's something particularly well known or popular they probably just slap a price onto it.
I would've bought ju on the grudge! I saw a sold listing for 120$. So the price they were asking for in there wasn't bad at all.
And this is why you don’t buy games from Amazon and you just go to your local game stores and get much better prices and not get scammed. xD
Yeah people who buy on Amazon have more money than sense and are unwilling to hunt and just buy off pure convenience which is the type of people this guy is willing to exploit. It's truly disgusting and why I no longer collect because people like him are pricing normal collectors out of the hobby.
Love the remix!
Any Working Designs PS1/PS2 game is worth money b/c they were quality localizers of Japanese games, & all of their games had small print runs.
Kinda salty you didn’t buy that Ocarina of time Gray Cart 🥺 (couldn’t see the price so I’m sure it was probably over priced or at resale value)
I agree it's one of my favorites
I live in Etown. This place is quite nice. I've been in there a couple times.
Awesome as always, but I have a question? How long, on average, does it take for a game or accessory to sell on Amazon? The main thing that keeps popping in my head is, if it takes a month or two to sell, how much does amazon current selling price hold? What is the worst rating you pickup. Chase and others have mentioned above 20,000 they won't touch it unless the purchase price is super low (example, the $1 non complete game you picked up). Keep up the great work, love the content!
Chase wouldn’t say that, I try to stay under 40k. At 20k you’re going to leave behind lots of profit. And prices don’t tend to change that much within a few months
