Hot tip, Caleb: Leave a spare DS charger in your backpack so you can still check devices even if the shop doesn't have one! They take up no space and then you don't have to think about it.
Better yet they make bundle cords with all the handheld cords in one

It’s crazy a pawn shop doesn’t keep a cable in the back to test things. It means that place doesn’t test out their electronics before selling them.

Ayyy Kissimmee my ole stomping grounds. I never tapped into the pawn shops there, I probably missed out on some good finds.

Last pawn shop is like some my local ones. Way high on prices. Sometimes I think they go eBay find highest listing and then add few bucks on top to make sure they over priced. And if you say anything most times they get all defensive about it.
Pawn shops are scum. They take advantage of people in tough spots by lending them next to nothing for their valuable items then taking ownership of them when that person doesnt pay on time. They buy stolen stuff from drug addicts and sell it for 20 times as much. They tell you they pay top price for gold and silver when its actually 10 percent of spot price. F pawn shops never been to one that was run by a honest group
hell my local video game stores sometimes want double or tripple ebay prices i dont know how they get away with it i never buy games from them

That zelda game on Gamecube is only 1 disc for 60 I'd have grabbed it since they go for 75 and up. It's just Ocarina of Time on it plus the challenge mode master quest.
Yep came here to say the same thing . It’s only 1 disk . When you pre ordered wind waker , they handed you a copy of that . It was awesome

first of all they go for 60 ebay used and second he didn't show what the disc looked like it could have had a couple scratches on it. And third that pawn was a rip I wouldn't have given them a time of day with those prices.
That last stop is one of my local pawn shops, honestly they are either hit or miss when it comes to their prices. Sometimes they give good deals most of the time they don’t. I found if you go like 2 minutes before they close they give you a good deal cause they don’t want to look up anything and want you to leave haha

The second Value Pawn is very hit or miss. They’ve started pricing all of their games and they price most fairly high, but sometimes they will work you a deal. Best score I’ve had at any pawn was a Pokemon Heartgold for $9 loose at that Value Pawn. I also snagged 33 disc only games for $10 at one point.

@@BigCTV wow. I guess that's one good thing to come out of fluctuating pokemon prices: smart people get the most out of it! I bought a platinum cartridge in April for 16 bucks, though I bought it to try a gen 4 game before bdsp 😄
@@DonutTPOTer That’s a great game. Obviously if you are buying to play, it’s great to find them for cheap. The nice thing is, when you are done with it, you can easily flip it for a nice profit, which you can use to buy more games!

You motivated me to get deals my self! I managed to get Shining soul, Zelda Links Awakening DX, Pokemon FireRed, Goldensun 1 and 2, Pokemon Soulsilver with pokewalker unused, Harvest moon friends of Mineral town, Pokemon trading card game, with Gameboy Advance and DS lite. They were only cartridges, only paid $100. I thought that was an amazing deal.

I find it very funny for you to say that about the pawn shops there. I live in Sarasota and the area that I go to has about 10 pawn shops all on the same street within a mile of each other. It really is crazy how many there are. I will have to check out Kissimmee soon!

So I live in Kissimmee and visit those exact pawn shops usually once or sometimes twice a week. I guess I picked up your leftovers at the first Value Pawn because I snagged those exact copies of Just Dance 4 and Rayman Raving Rabbids, among a few others, for one of my game hunting videos on my BigCTV Plays Channel. We do have a lot of solid pawn shops near me. Glad you got to check them out.
That Cash America is my favorite pawn shop. They always work me a good deal and since I go in so much, I rarely even have to ask anymore. Looks like you went when their game stock wasn’t the greatest. I picked up a ton of great stuff last week.

Have you seen the GameCube game Cubivore's. I have one in really nice shape. Look it up on game charting, mine is a CIB. Also have a sealed Super Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Super Nintendo game. I have at least two truck loads of gaming items, consoles (Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, GameCube, Halo Xbox Green) just too much to list here. My wife has a Dreamcast that has never been out of the box. The seal has broke over the years, she brought it just as they were going out.

Watching your videos in the UK and can't believe the prices of things. $30 for a 360 hard drive is mad. You can pick up a 360 for £30 or less here with the hard drive which I have done plenty of times. So sometimes I've bought a whole 360 for the same price as just a hard drive accounting for the exchange rate.

La Familia I visit maybe once a month or so. They are super nice and typically knock a buck or two off most games I buy, but their pricing is a bit high compared to most of the other pawns nearby.

What app is he using to scan the items ?
The only game store in my town charges full price eBay (the most recently overpriced sale with shipping included, not even pricecharting which is an average so more fair). It blows my mind because that means he literally wants more per game than online sellers, even eBayers have to pay fees and eat the shipping cost. His inventory is insane he has literally tens of thousands of video games but it's clear to see his business is failing. The two times I was there I asked him point blank why anyone would buy his games vs shopping online and he didn't have a response besides "video games will always increase in value", which is just factually incorrect.
It honestly makes me want to open a competing store that undercuts online prices to drive him out of town because doing so would create customer loyalty and ensure everyone leaves happy. Retail stores that charge full blown online retail just scream "we don't understand business" to me. Sell more quantity at a cheaper price is the long term strat, not nickle and diming everyone who comes through the door. /endrant

There are more pawnshops a bit north of kissimmee on OBT that you might enjoy BUT theres one in particular that you would either have a great time on or a heartattack

He's already chosen that path, he clearly would rather not type a code since he has to check so many prices but Apple gives him zero options and forces him to use a worthless code so he can use his apps while also having the inconvenience of still having to type a code every single time.

When he found out it was my husband selling it and hes taking offers for them he said he doesn't give offers and isn't taking any online deals. When he promotes that in his videos. I actually grew up gaming so even if it was me selling them he was disappointed I knew what I had. So untasteful the way he is, how he negociates, and how he does business in general. Lame.
