Mounting PRP Seats to a Roll Cage

- I finally was able to get my PRP Enduro Elite seats mounted to my roll cage with the added benefit of putting them on seat sliders. Sitting in the Jeep for the first time in almost 2 years is pretty awesome! I still have a lot to do to make these work and function 100% but for now I'm pumped. Thank you all for watching me struggle through figuring this out lol but more to come very soon with getting this cage finished. Hopefully this information was helpful since i couldn't find much about this process. Leave a comment if you have any questions or helpful tips.

Your seats seem a bit low to me. Maybe you should chop the windshield and keep it low. :) Maybe it is just the camera angle. Either way... nice work.
Hell yeah I’d love to chop the windshield to keep the cage low. I think it is the camera angle a bit but also I was trying to keep the seat as low as I could so that I can keep the cage height down but we will see! Thank you for watching 🍻
Did you go with the regular height or get the 2in/4in raised back? Also, how tall are you, im 5’7 and looking at getting these. Awesome job dude
I went with the standard height and width, I’m 6’ 170lbs and they are perfect for me. Very comfortable and still a decent racing seat feel. You won’t be disappointed in them! Thank you for watching!
Hi. Jeep is looking great question for you can you put a four point safety harness on your seats
Appreciate that! Yes I can use a 4 point harness with these seats and plan to make the mounts for the harness off of the roll cage for extra support and safety
I'm sure you have a reason. But looks like you could have turned you angle up and it would have made your bolt clear. But it would have made the seat a little higher. You also might be able to put a carriage head bolt there and it would clear better
That is a thought that crossed my mind and I still may raise the front mounting holes in the future. Main reason was just to keep the seat low so I can keep the cage low. Carriage bolts would definitely work, I may have to go see if I can find some that work well for my situation. Thanks for the tips 👍🏻
Could have used a nut zert on the angle to seat for the slider mount to get all clearance and not cut it
That’s a good idea! The seat mounts aren’t 100% complete yet so I’m still open to changes. I’ll keep that in mind while I finish it all up
Just a thought...The rear outside bracket that is just kind of floating I would weld in another piece to the back roll bar bracket. Really starting to come together and looks awesome 👊🏻👊🏻
That’s on my mind also, for now I’m going to see how stiff it is once I weld it up. The bent 3/16 is pretty stout but definitely an option if I have issues. Thanks for watching!
Going to be a beast of a ride when you finish it.
Best part is:
It's Built-not-Bought by a regular dude armed with nothing but will and desire.
Good work from Elberta ,AL.
🤙🏻 rock on brother! Appreciate you watching like always and I’m pumped to get this finished.
So mad at myself I didn’t know about PRP when I was seat shopping. 🤦🏼♂️anyone wanna buy some corbeaus? Lol
Before my build escalated I was really looking at a set of corbeaus but after seeing the PRPs in person and the way you can customize the look definitely sold me haha
Not sure if it was mentioned but possibly switch to a carriage bolt or something similar to give you the extra clearance so the slider doesn’t hit. I believe they even sell a bolt with a lower profile head
I think someone did mention that and I’m definitely going to look into better hardware options. The low profile head would be the best bet. I’ll look around, thanks for watching!
It’s all in the details 👍🏼. Will you rhino line the floor or some other bed liner product?
Very true! Yes sir, I used raptor liner in the past and was very happy with the performance of it so I will be using it again both on the inside and the underside of the tub.
Looks good! What is your plan to finish weld the roll cage?
Thank you, my plan is to try and finish weld everything I can bolted in place and then pull the cage and get the areas I couldn’t with it in the jeep. Definitely gonna be lots of work
Nice job bruh, I was wondering if it would have been more or less work to raise the floor instead of reworking everything? Just a thought and would be curious to hear what think
Thank you man! Since I redid the whole floor to clear the transfercase it would be a lot more work to raise it additionally to mount the seats. My whole goal was to mount the seats to the cage so that it ultimately was more secure.
Great build! Are you going to make it to koh this year?
Thanks! Unfortunately we won’t make it this year but it is a huge bucket list item for my group of friends and I. We will definitely be out one year for sure!!
Looking good man. Gonna have a killer ride when you're done 🤙
Appreciate that 🍻 I’m hoping and I’m excited to see it all done
Your yj themed buggy is looking good lol.
😂😂 you’re not wrong lol but thank you 🍻
