I took the suspension seats out of my Tacoma and put in Sparco Evo shell seats. The amount of feedback from the shell style seat is amazing. You can really feel what the vehicle is doing, in a good way.
suspension seats seem like they were an old school way to make trucks with really limited suspension comfortable, back then theyd just attach 4 shocks to each corner of a fully leaf sprung 4x4 truck and send it so the seats soaking up a little of the impact was good
Agreed. Suspension seats are still a reasonable option in classes/builds with limited suspension travel, but hardshell seats are the way to go in large-travel vehicles.
Is their a echo in this video..haha🤣. Suspension seats are nice in Prerunner's,and any race vehicle. I would go with she'll style in class 10-1- and any tube chassis truck class
What you fail to realize "T". A well setup vehicle and good driving everything is smooth. And the old school trucks you think you know about still had a spring rate and shocks setup properly..I've owned a couple and raced in a couple..and they ride nice.. I'm actually building a bronco with that old school flavor using coil bucket shock towers from Spirit racing.. nice setup
@@anthonyolsen9299 never said that old school trucks weren't setup with the best stuff that was available at the time but lets be realistic even the best setups from the early days are nothing like what even budget builds have access to these days. ive seen the crazy torsion bar setups and quarter elliptical springs

I always thought of the suspension seat as more of a sling with the main advantage that it's going to be a little softer than factory metal seat springs.But if you're a big guy factory seats do just fine. Most racecar drivers are small guys more like jockeys than the average Joe
Yes James another sprog on the way what were you thinking well you probably weren't lol as we all know the dick just don't care doh, so now more work for Morgan to reposition the rear seats to get a mini me seat mounted in the middle of the cage. I look at your truck and think a month and done but it will be completely stripped down to the chassis and the rebuild always goes so slow been there a few times where your patience is tested, but the end result is worth the wait, the sacrifices and sleepless nights, cant wait to see it done and the look on your face as you for the first time in what ten years it rolls out under it's own steam.

I'd like to replace the seats in my 04 Silverado 1500, unfortunately they have the seat belt in seat. How are you guys getting around this?
