He’s worried more about the term inflation. When is your own government that are putting out the number of how the city has more African descendants which is the term I use to describe the City. the truth is many of Prado consider their self Black. if you don’t want to identify yourself as such that’s also OK, but you can’t tell anybody how they choose to identify you, especially in the eye of an equality. What I said in the beginning of the video applies to your mentality. And I’m pretty sure this is your second account stop doing that. I’m will block you. I don’t wanna erase your comments, but you can’t be using two accounts to inflate your message

I told Latin American History at OSU and seeing this took me back to the classroom. @CyberPunk-de7ri 7 месяцев назад +8

@@bwanahaguziki307 hmm no. You should speak on what you don't understand and have no historical knowledge about. Brazil had a dense population of Black people. It actually had the most Africans imported. And has the highest population of African descent people out side of Africa. In addition, Spanish weren't as brutal in stripping the African identity from the enslaved people. They often allowed them to practice their drumming and other tribal practices, as well as their languages, names, etc. And they hid some of there African deities behind Catholic religion. All these things were out lawed in the United States. They also would purposely buy Africans from different tribal groups and languages to make sure they could not communicate upon arrival. Ive heard countless stories of Spanish slave owners setting their captives free after a period of time. Spanish and French have a different culture than Anglo Whites and thus a very different slaving system and level of brutality thats why even in pockets of the United States. The most Afro centric parts are pretty much Louisiana, South Carolina (Gullah region) and pockets of Florida. Because more history has been maintained due to those states being colonized by other countries

Actually, the five millions is a low estimate. Scholars place the true number of Africans kidnapped to Brazil between ten and 20 million. So much so that in the 1800's there were 3 African man to 1 European (Portuguese).

absolutely + number of people that were not counted well . Western estimations will always be lower than reality when it's about counting BLK people so we don't realize our numeric superiority and power
