I’m a mechanical engineer, and I have to say how impressed I am with the design and work you put in this. I hope you look into patenting it, or at least, producing more and selling them!
Thank you for the kind words William! We're just having fun as we go but may consider bringing them into production in the future!
@@AmbitionStrikes I was curious about something. As a fellow TIG welder, it looked like that was steel by the welds, but I wasn’t 100% sure it wasn’t aluminum. Which was it?
That's staircase is really nice good job thinking outside of the box for sure. 👍👍😀🇨🇦🐕
Riley somehow thought outside of the box and still made it fit in a box! 😂
Guys! You two are real artists!
Thanks Robert!
I usually dont comment, but i feel the need. I have been a blacksmith and in welding and fabrication for 40 plus years. I gotta say you do really nice work and very creative. Cheers!!
Thank you very much Kevin for the compliment! We have been having a lot of fun on this project and are getting eager to take it on a trip. Happy Holidays!
Off the hook skills....I'm amazed at those stairs. You should patent those. I have never seen better. That quick...into the camper- one step is a beauty.
We are both 6’2” so we might need to make a quick step model with 2 steps for those shorter than us... 😂
I was surprised why there was a video just for the staircase. Then I watched how incredibly well-engineered and built it was. I give you two many props for not taking shortcuts on the small tedious parts.
I think it probably wins most complicated RV staircase! 😂
@@AmbitionStrikes
Did you build the accordian portion, too?
That's ingenious.
Thanks!
this staircase deserves the staircase oscar really a great job
😊
Gosh.. You guys have all the tools in the world. So jealous 😝. Looking good!
No matter how many tools you have, there is always "that one tool I wish I had" 😉.
The engineering and craftsmanship on this is insane. this is the first video of yours that I've seen and will be watching more. I feel like there is some aeronautical engineering in this build, less all the rivets.
Thanks for watching Kirk! Riley's dad is a pilot so that may be where some of the influence is coming from!
And of course I just binge watched from episode 1 and laughed when he discovered the rivet gun. lol
Its nice to see people making their dream RV camper instead of paying crazy amounts of $$$
Thanks for subscribing! We have really enjoyed customizing this build for our own needs.
That's the best entry step design I have ever seen
Thanks Jon. Riley worked very hard on the design and it was awesome to bring it to life!
@@AmbitionStrikes How does it handle mud and exhaust grime? How have the bearings and latches held up under there?
@@10-AMPM-01 I’ll let you know once we find some mud!
@@AmbitionStrikes I might... steel, your platform idea. I only have a stick welder, haha. But I have thought about those wheelchair lifts, and cladding one of those like a deck.
All these inspirational ideas you share... Thanks!
Wow! You guys are incredible. What a team!
Thanks for watching!
I envy your teamwork!
Thanks for watching!
Amazingly high quality guys ! I am very impressed.
I’ve been binch watching these episodes. This is awesome, you all have a great set of skills, thanks for sharing,
Thanks for following along on this build with us Julian!
I thought I had seen it all, but that porch is next-level.
It was inspired by other people’s solutions 😉
Wow~
Amazing
Awesome
Good job
Thank you!
That is Straight-up ,, Bad Ass Talent you got going !! Happy Holidays ~peace~
Thank you Andrew! Happy holidays to you as well.
Amazing deck and stairs. Nice design and execution.
Thanks!
Unbelievable! Such craftsmanship, creative and functional. Absolutely beautiful. The two of you complement each other so well, and you certainly exhibit joy. Thank you for sharing. Andy
Thanks so much Andrew!
This design is better than what the “pros” offer. Awesome stuff
This would be a very expensive staircase if you hired someone to make it. We probably have about 30 hours into it but are so thrilled with how it came out!
Incredible stairs
Thank you! Riley did such a great job designing them :)
Amazing staircase. Definitely the best design and solution I have seen. You should patent and sell them.
Thank you Marcus! Riley sure did a great job with it!
Love the stairs & deck. The equal distance step design is fantastic.
Those stairs are genius!
Thank you Chris!
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed watching this build series and how much I like what you are building. It’s so rare to see a well thought out well engineered diy rig! Thank you for sharing and please keep sharing... and if you came up with “grimples” it’s almost as genius as the staircase/deck
We can’t take credit for the grimples, but they sure are awesome! I really appreciate the kind words and support!
You guys are absolutely killing this build. So much innovation and such a clean build. Great build, keep it going!!!!
Thank you for the compliments! Riley really outdid himself with the design and I can not wait to put it to the test!
Guys I just want to say that you are next level, I was very proud when I built a very similar step/deck using low level tech. But your quality of workmanship is second to none. Very well done
Thank you so much!
Awesome build hoping for one of these in the future!
Thanks for following along!
very well done. the stair design is extremely elegant.
Thank you! Riley did an incredible job with it!
This whole project is great! but these stairs take the cake! I love the versatility and options and really anxious to see how it holds up.
Thank you Paul! They have been extremely functional thus far and the dogs really appreciate the deck for their morning coffee with a view 😂
This is an example used in engineering before work. It is the best and I like this truck.
Thank you!
Nice design! Well done!
Thank you!
Ugh another build series like comment and definitely subscribe even though my lazy butt won’t never build one. Looks go.
Thanks for watching!
Very cool ‘double’ step!!
Riley killed it with his design!
Genius assembly!
Thank you Joel!
"Grimples" my new favorite!!! This thing just keeps getting better!!! Look forward to MOAR!!! 😁
Grimples are the best. Thanks for watching!
After all my years working on fabrication projects as part of my work, I would never have the patience to engineer such nice work for myself...I'll do it if I'm getting paid, but for my own stuff it'd just be some simple angle steel and grip-strut stairs...but I guess that why they say the cobblers kids go barefoot ....
We used to feel guilty spending any time on personal projects. It was always a rush to get it done so we could go "back to work". We went into this project with a common goal of being patient and showcasing our skills and I think Riley outdid himself with the stairs!
The camper is awesome, the porch is next level. You could build and sell those campers I'm sure.
That's what I keep telling Riley. His porch design is amazing! Thanks for watching.
Awesome job guys 👌👍 can’t wait to see the finish results 👀 love the porch and steps and the rap is beautiful 👌👍✅ very nice craftsmanship
Thank you! We are both very eager to start building out the interior. Riley did such a great job designing and building the porch and it has been amazing so far!
I work on the same type projects as you two. You are really good and fast at your work. The video production is also very good. Keep up the work and videos!
Thanks for watching!
Super slick. Absolutely great job.
Much appreciated!
Brilliant design!
Thank you Allen!
Well thought out and executed. Nice work.
Thanks Scott!
Excelent Stairs
You two are amazing, this build kicks a$$!! The slide/porch/stairs are the coolest thing EVER!!! You work so quickly and efficiently, its really fun to watch. Love It!
Riley did such an amazing job designing and building the stairs! Thank you for following along 😊
Beyond brilliant!
Things don’t always work out the way you hoped so when they do it is amazing!
@@AmbitionStrikes I love seeing newcomers come into the space and straight up out design and implement ideas that the camping industry has been doing poorly for years. Hopefully this isn't just personal project for you guys, but turns into a business. This build is incredible!
Very kind words, thank you for the support. Riley has been taking notes and updating/improving the designs as we go in case we decide to move forward with a production model in the future... right now we’re just having fun and getting excited to hit the road!
Wow dude. Nice job.
Incredible staircase and design, I give it two thumbs up .
Dude, your skills are on a whole different level! This is NOT DIY. This is PRO level design and metal fabrication. Mechanical engineering students would be in AWE.
Thank you very much! Riley has a degree in manufacturing engineering but all of our fabrication skills are self taught.
I bet earthroamer would like to hired both of us. I'm a metal fab guy that builds mobile pizzeria's and we make a living with food truck/cater for decade. We are on the road alot selling pizza looking to do the same type of build of a earthroamer DIY to pull our pizzeria. Love the your work, we would be amazing friends! I use rivet's, Lincoln 350mp spool gun, plasma (wife wants a table). I would like to meet you some day:)
Design
CAD Cut
Bent it
TIG it and
Operational in 1 day!
Awesome Job Riley!
Merry Christmas guys n good luck w/ the rest of the build.
Thanks for watching! Merry Christmas to you as well ☺️.
Outstanding job !!!
Thank you Gerard!
That stair/deck is awesome!
Agreed. Riley did such a great job!
Skills beyond the normal. Great work and design.
Thank you for watching!
Too good! That is brilliant design and workmanship. Luv it!
Ok guys, been following this camper build, time to come clean . Your are not amateurs at this. Tig welder and CNC plasma cutting. And Courtney vinyl wrap pro moves. Like how this build is.
Before this project Courtney had no experience doing vinyl wraps and I had maybe 10 minutes of TIG aluminum under my belt. We did have extensive steel fabrication experience and the plasma table is an amazing tool. Thanks so much for watching!
That's super cool, want one.
Thank you!
Outstanding job. So much energy! Clearly you are both having fun.
Thanks for watching!
You two are so talented. Incredible work
Awesome! You two are truly talented!
Thank you for watching!
very cool! you guys are so smart!
Thanks for watching!
The man, the myth, the legend: Riley Casey
WOW!!!! that is the best one yet.
Thanks Allan!
Great Job 👍🙂
I love the design and how the whole project is coming together
I look forward to seeing the completed project.
Thank you! We are getting very eager to take it on its first trip!
We've followed a lot of rig builds on youtube and are quite active in the scene in Germany (we're currently restoring a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser truck camper). Many of the builds tend to be a bit...well..."that'll do"-style. Especially the commercial builds. The prices are ridiculous and the materials used and the quality of the build are just not good.
But hands down, your rig is absolutely amazing. You guys could definitely give a lot of the professional outfitters a run for their money!
The attention to detail and craftsmanship left us in awe. That staircase is absolutely amazing! What an awesome job guys!
Oh, and we envy you for the tool (especially the plasma cutter) and wish we could also weld Aluminum :D
Thank you very much Sebastian for the kind words! This project has been a great opportunity to combine skills that we have learned over various projects. I agree that Riley knocked it out of the park with the staircase design! The plasma table is certainly a game changer and allows a certain level of fabrication that I have grown quite accustomed to. Welding aluminum is not easy and Riley has spent a significant amount of time practicing!
quality of your work makes me jealous...
Only one way to learn! My favorite quote, "don't let perfection get in the way of mostly acceptable". 😉
thats some crazy engineering! Nice Job!
Wow!
Thanks for watching!
That is genius!
Thank you!
Your attention to detail is amazing
Thank you very much!
absolutely amazing fab work on the stairs. Dude..... you got skills. Love the work. Cheers. I'm a fan.
The deck and stairs was genius
Thank you!
Why does he look so much like Jason Statham! BTW, impressive work!
neat porch quick step and stains brilliant design
Thanks Garth!
Holy smokes...mind bending great idea and implementation.
Thank you very much!
Totally awesome. Such amazing talent to make this.
Thank you very much Alan!
Impressed.
맞춤 자작 캠핑카 정말 훌륭합니다😲👍
Thank you!
Those steps are badass
Very cool multi task stairways, thats thinking outside the box, very clever!
Riley somehow thought outside of the box and still made it all fit in a box! 😂
This build is so cool. thanks for sharing all your hard work
Thanks for watching!
Great Build You Guys,,,, Awesome Fab skills... and serious work ethic!!! Your Subscribers should skyrocket!!!
Thanks for watching Ed!
That was one piece of nice craftsmanship.
Thank you! 🙌🏻
Wow! That is brilliant.
Thanks!
Dude! You're a madman with the fab! you rock! Now, the folding steps, was that made too? Thanks for sharing
The steps are from Torklift!
Epiccc
Thanks for watching!
nice job! on the porch and those stairs. cool.
What an amazing and inspirational build! Cant wait to see what you 2 have planned for the interior.
Thank you! I can’t wait to get started on the interior.
WOW!
Amazing skillsets, both of you! Love it
Thanks for watching!
You guys are something else, is there anything y’all can’t do?
Riley said we probably shouldn’t attempt brain surgery... 😂
super cool, strong work. amazing design
Thank you so much!
I was suspicious at first on those sliders being able to hold enough weight, but after seeing yall walk up the staircase and stand on the porch, Im sold! That came out great! Excellent ingenuity!
They work but we just found some even heavier duty ones that I think we are going to swap in!
@@AmbitionStrikes Good deal, by chance could you post a link to the heavier duty ones if they work out?
@@DuddiesAdventure Absolutely!
That's some of the best work and ideas l have seen yet good job guys enjoy
Thank you very much!
Cool content guys! Beautiful camper! Congrats!
Thank you very much!
Puré genius!! Impressive!
Thank you!
Awesome skill set and ingenuity...and tools.
Thank you very much!
Love the ingenuity. Wow! The fast step or the deck and expandable stairs. That's just cool! Great work.
Thank you very much! Happy Holidays!
