From the Moffat Tunnel to Rocky Control Point (bottom of the grade) in 8 minutes. This was a journey of around 1 hour, now sped up for your viewing convenience. This was recorded from the rear of the #6 California Zephyr, through the rear door. The window was incredibly dirty and slippery, so that doesn't help, but I hope you enjoy it!

You can jump on the westbound California zephyr in Denver about 8am go to Granby co. eat lunch hang out 3 hours then jump on the eastbound Zepher back to Denver get back that evening ,that's this route and the Moffit tunnel. The big ten curve .we did it in June for less than $100
How cool! Thanks for sharing 👍
Cool video and neat music. Thanks for posting.
Getting ready to get on the Zephyr now. I guess we know why they call that line the Tunnel District
Awesome views! Great video ! I’m subbed
Awesome Video! Say, do you think you could do the Front Range Subdivision and the
Colorado Joint Line?
Longmont Railway probably not like this since Amtrak doesn't use either of those lines!
Well Amtrak sometimes need's to reroute on those lines, and also RTD is "Currently Working" on the NE Line which will take up about half of the FR Sub!
Longmont Railway Are you talking about the new N Line currently under construction through Thornton? Front Range Sub has nothing to do with that line. It was previously owned by UP and was a branch line that only served northern Colorado. It was never a mainline except when it was first built.
Heck, I just made a video about that line! If you have 20 minutes, check it out!
I'm talking about the line from Denver to Longmont!
I love it when Amtrak gets to pass right by the coal trains!
High speed rail ?
