Man, This guy is my absolute favorite RUclips fishermen channels I subscribe to... so positive so full of knowledge and absolutely loves to fish... leaves the scenery, the people, the fish... I'm going to fish with this guy one day!!!!
Robert is all I'd dream to be when I grow up.... he's living his life doing the things he loves, exploring the world catching the most amazing fish imaginable and entertaining people with the best fishing content on the internet!!! It would be a dream to have the opportunity to get out and fish with him on one of these once in a lifetime trips.
I agree... I'm going to figure out how to get on a charter with him one day... definitely a dream I need to fulfill... what an awesome group of fishermen!!!
Robert Field has such great content. Been watching your kayak reviews & videos for years & you've always been an inspiration to me, Thank you. Tightlines.
Getting baked (legally, CA) and watching this New Zealand series has been a quarantine highlight for me... definitely something I'll forever associate with this strange period of time... thanks Rob!
The "parrot fish" is called a Sandager's Wrasse, they are the laziest fish I've ever caught, you barely notice you've hooked up it's almost like you're dragging seaweed. Quite happy to chill out in shallows too, we see them quite often just roaming round the kelp and they don't seem to get spooked by us/shadows like other fish
Robert, as a guy sitting in the middle of Ohio with a pandemic going on it certainly feels when I'm watching this that I'm almost there. What a breathtaking view islands, and blue sea around them.
Another week and we should be down to almost no new cases. But I think there will be massive restrictions to travel! Hope you guys in the US get through ok, seems pretty bad over there, from what we here.
Thank you so much brother for posting these GREAT video's to help us temporarily escape this quarantine crap.. I can't wait for the ramps to open back up and for life to get back to normal. I am pretty lucky that I still get to get out every day to work on Helicopters for Customs and Border Protection. Keep up the GREAT work my friend. 👍👍
Hey Rob. It's Billup.... hahaha if you remember. New Zealand looks like another trip i need to take. If you're quarantined, fly up to Jersey. I've got a spare Hobie. Go catch some Stripers.
Billup! Sup my man! Yeah, the NZ trip is a special one. It's an adventure. Not sure how flying is going right now man, don't think I'ma be ableto fly to Los Buzos next month
This was a beautiful scenery episode. But having flipped 3 weeks ago in 45* water, this also put a lump in my throat waiting for you to flip on those seas.
Yikes, glad you’re alright. Cold water kayaking requires different rules and levels of risk. I’ve been in worse, and I do this for a living, and while I still don’t take it lightly, I was comfortable with my PFD on
I caught a Granddaddy Hapuka on my first ever boat fishing trip when I was about 10. As I grabbed it to take it off the hook the rest of the boat went "NooOOOOoOOOoOOoo!!" but it was too late. My hand was useless for some time and the pain was terrible.
Great video. I used to be a commercial fisherman in the south island in the nineties. Maddest fuck I ever worked with took a surfboard onboard and we would drop him over the side and he would surf the storm swells. Unreal shit 100 kms offshore....before the PC brigade
Love ur content bro I’m from NZ and I got into fishing with lures last year after I went to a catch seminar. And it’s honestly changed my fishing so much for the better bro. Keep up the great vids and come to NZ more often dude!!
Robert! NZ should pay you for endorsement. My son met a gal from NZ, went there to visit for "6 months" - 3 years ago! lol Sad thing is...he's allergic to fish. So my little grand daughter is waiting for me to come and take her fishing for the first time. Keep up the Trips!
So Cool. I will only dream of fishing a place like this. You are living the dream, and doing it well. When you get back to Southern California, perhaps I will hook up and buy ya a dinner.
@@YakFishField i live on the coromandel peninsula in a place called Whitianga. Great barrier is at the top of our peninsula. Really food fishing and diving all around us.
Amazing video as usual! Motivates me a lot to work hard and be a better angler. Hopefully one day I’ll experience life changing moments like the ones in the video! Huge fan! Thank you for the videos! Btw what size Daiwa BG were you using?
Supposed to be about Bahamas right now glad I got my money back now I know where I'm going to be going love your vids How don't you have a million subscribers💪
Hey is that a dry bag you are towing at 20:59.. I know it won't be a berlely bag in those waters... Mokes is an awesome spot in Kayaks . You have to organise a trip to Three Kings... Done it twice in the yak and its another whole step up.. It will blow you away.. No doubt Stephen has spoken to you about it and the 35kg+ that was caught on a trip a few years back . ruclips.net/video/JN1xlSM4s_Y/видео.html

That Scenery was amazing. But those bloopers mad me spit out my beer 😂
Hahaha trying to find good stuff for each episode. A lot of it was too inappropriate haha
That trip looked like so much fun! Some crazy colors on some of those fish! Enjoy watching them, keep it up. Good stuff bro.

man u inspire me and im only 12 i love fishing and u give me confidence to kayak fish in deep water
Don’t know how to give confidence buddy. Start in small water and work your way up
