Hangin with my family for the holidays. Just showed my 13 yr old nephew this older video and he said.....Omg...he caught a Cubera! He's the Man! lol Happy New Year to You & Jamie. Thx for sharing and may you catch many more next year. 🎉🍻
Brother I’m American through and through. I was born Panamanian/ Swede. Ft Colby panama. Your bringing back some good memories my friend. Hey man thanks for being in Panama. Not many folks are aware of Panama. Keep up the great videos brother. Thank you and God bless America! If you ever go back to Panama. Check out Gatoon Lake. Brackish water and the hole of giants. Damn y’all are awesome. My family are commercial fishermen. Have been for over 80years. Man I wish I could take you to my primo! Y’all would have a blast and places only locals can go. My family property is all over but one spot is in PUNTA RICA. San blass home.
I dream of living a life like this. Been fishing my whole life. But being able to fish for the rest of my life and make some money doing it is more than a dream. You're a lucky man. Be safe brother!
Luck has something to do with it, but hard work and risk taking are the keys to building a life you love to live. Just start taking small steps. Momentum will begin to propel you forward.
That cubera is beautiful and scary. You guys caught all kinds of huge fish. That fishing line is pretty tough and you did a good job of getting it out of the rocks.
But they are a fun fight. We had hoped one on slab lure and it took a good 35 minutes to bring it in we didn’t get a photo or measure it so I’m not too sure how big it was but if I had a guess it would be 70 cm to 80 com long
Hey Robert I’m from Corpus Christi , Texas . I’ve always liked offshore fishing , but I’ve done it from a boat and know I’ve been kayaking for 3 years now inshore. I want to get into offshore kayak fishing , what rods and reels do you recommend for catching fish and what rod and reel for catching bait.. you fishing Panama is amazing.i want to go there at los buzos . I have been to Panama City where I caught a mahi-mahi . Caught yellow tail at isla Guadalupe
Great fishing out at the rigs off Corpus. I have some ooooold videos kayak fishing off Corpus and Port A. Rods and reels depend on a million factors, budget being the biggest one. I like Penn for their durability and dependability without breaking the bank. Can’t really go wrong, just grab whichever setup(s) are in your budget. Biggest thing kayak-wise is that your rod is at least 6 feet long (7 ideal) so you can reach around the bow of the yak.
That place is FISHING PARADISE! Hands down! And that in Panama! It's like getting a gold fish in Jurassic Park! You have another channel as well? You sound so familiar.
Question... When you go out of the country you rent the kayak or you bring your own kayak. Whether you bring your own kayak how is the procedure with the air line?
Hi may I know what do you call the wire like sunglass strap you're using? I always wanted to buy one but couldn't identify the wire thing....Thank you and cheers
can't imagine how hard it must be to catch fish so big on a kyak without your legs and full back support EPIC that was bigger than 30lb ???? awesome catch
I tend to avoid the clickbait stuff but sometimes ya gotta play the system. RUclips makes that stuff important with their algorithm, and it’s lame. I felt justified though, that fish WAS scary and did have HUGE teeth hahaah
Doesn't matter thought since you still post some great content. I don't like RUclipsrs who only clickbait to get views. Awesome content and hit up the west coast sometime soon.
You have bonefish over there, too?! Is it like the Jacks where they're slightly different than Florida bonefish? Jeez, I've watched so many of your videos (like, all of the Panama ones!) and never seen you or anyone else pull up another bonefish!
I always enjoy these Panama videos. I got bit my a mangrove snapper once on the tip of a finger. It was so painful and difficult to get him off. It happened so fast. I imagine those Cubera Snapper are fast too. I've always wondered why do you leave the lures in the fish when handling them? It looks so dangerous.
Yeah it’s not great practice, and I often remove them, but I wanted to show what I caught it on and how it was hooked. I definitely recommend removing them ASAP.
Hey Rob. Do u see any spearfisherman down there? I’ve seen videos of Panama spearfishing and it looks amazing. According to them, it’s not sharky like Florida or the Caribbean.
Damn nice fish!!! I know the camera adds 10 pounds but... if you told me that snapper weighed in at sixty, I wouldn't call you a liar bro!!! My goal is to get my brother and I there before one of us dies. He has never been in a kayak and I don't fish without one if I don't have to. He has done a lot more salt than I have but never in a kayak. Dude, is there any way you can help us get there? I have a passport, he does not. I know him and he would need a little motivation. Any suggestions would be helpful bro. Please keep on doing what you are doing man. You have inspired me and made me make life plans!!!
Well you definitely need a passport, and trips are super affordable. Email info@losbuzos.com and tell them your situation and they’ll send you all the info to plan a trip. They might work with you some.
It’s good pretty much year round. Email info@losbuzos.com and they’ll send you all the info to plan it as well as date options. I’m there every January, April and August but May-July, September and February are all great too
It’s $1750 all inclusive for a week long trip, that’s EVERYTHING but the flight (meals too). Email info@losbuzos.com and they’ll send you all the info you need to plan a trip.
collin if guys on kayaks were the only ones fishing that wouldn’t be an issue. I can only assume there is plenty of commercial fishing activity there as well. That’s what I’m referring to. Commercial fishing ruined the cod fishery on the East coast, and is hurting the salmon fishery in Alaska. This one seems to be going strong 💪
Really only that? Cause ive seen people off of la jolla fishing with those they go pretty deep also, well i guess i wont know unless i buy one right, my budget is kinda tight
Yep! Send an email to info@Losbuzos.com and they'll send you back all the info you need to plan a trip. Tell em you want to come on a trip with me and they'll tell you the dates I'll be there. Some of the info is at losbuzos.com too
Robert i have been fishing for 3 years now and your the one who inspired me to start kayak fishing
That's awesome to hear man! Thanks for following around.
Congrats Robert on that massive Cubera snapper ! Amazing trips you guys must put on for your guests
Thanks! Yeah, our clients always leave with stories they’ll be telling for the rest of their lives. That place always delivers
FINALLY FIELD TRIPS PANAMA!!!! BEST SERIES OF FISHING ON RUclips!!
Yeahhhh buddy! 3 more episodes coming next

Binge watching Robert Field today. Weather here too bad to do anything. Grest work Robert
Haha nice man, hope it doesn’t disappoint!

What a beautiful fish Robert !!!!! congrats man !!! A beer and a nap....you earned it !!!!
Thanks Giorgio! She wore me out
love that you don't litter your content with ads thanks
I turn off the highest paying ads because you can’t skip them. I’d rather make less money and deliver better content for you guys. Thanks for noticing
Definitely the *rooster*!!! Heck yeah good to finally see this again , can't wait to hit it there
Can't wait to get ya out there bro!
Robert Field me neither man !!! Totally stoked about hooking a rooster and you’ll be there.. fun times man
What fun you guys had, wow amazing. I fish up here in the U.P of Michigan catching sturgeon. Lots of fun bringing them in.
Biggest fish I ever landed from the kayak was a 250+ pound sturgeon! Should check out that video in my West Coast series. Crazy fish!
Robert Field I definitely will do that, yes they are a cool fish to bring in, I can't imagine 250 lbs, omg ✌
Rob I really loved the behind the scenes stuff. maybe we could get a tour of the resort - that would be a really fun video!
I could do that!
Beautiful fish in a beautiful place. God bless the oceans and her creatures!
Vin Diesel in a kayak!!! Awesome fishing.
Haha he looks just like Vin. Awesome dude.
My absolute favorite offshore species to catch, never caught one on artificial
Those fish are special. One of the gnarliest I’ve ever caught.
Just finished watching this episode on my TV!!! Talk about Awesomeness!! What a MONSTAH!!! Look forward to your episodes! #YouTheManRobert!!🙌🙌🙌
Yeahhhh dude those fish are nuts!!
It's so cool to watch his video then see his post on fish brain
I love that app!
That cubera is beautiful and scary. You guys caught all kinds of huge fish. That fishing line
is pretty tough and you did a good job of getting it out of the rocks.
Yeah man, scary beautiful for sure. I couldn’t believe the line held up!
Here in Australia we call the jack raval a GT and typically they have the yellow fence.
But they are a fun fight. We had hoped one on slab lure and it took a good 35 minutes to bring it in we didn’t get a photo or measure it so I’m not too sure how big it was but if I had a guess it would be 70 cm to 80 com long
Ilh that big jacked guy struggled to get that rooster those fish are amazing
They’re beasts
Robert, it is because that is the Pacific Jack Crevalle, two different species, very slight difference.
Makes sense!
Any fish conservation efforts in this area of Panama?
Right on Bro, the dog tooth snapper kicked ass bro, my hats off to you!
Thanks man!
I love it when you go to panama
So do I!
I'd love to go some day
Wow,that's a giant snapper, never caught that big in my entire life wish to have one, someday. Good day dude.
So much fun
You need to come to south Australia when the big yellow tail kingfish run is on
I may be there this winter!
Will keep you posted when they are here, last year fish up-to 50kg caught 5-10m off the rocks
The kings are in small schools!

Hahaha my bad! Glad you enjoyed it though
Ini gila babeng!!cubera snapper!! What a fish
You’re living the dream Rob keep it up.
Thanks Edward, I will!
Dude you are all over the place man last week you were somewhere in the good old US of A and today in Panama
Haha yep, I head to Panama 3 times a year in January, April and August for 2 weeks each
He is living the dream isn't he.
@@YakFishField please tell me, how do I get paid to fish. That's a dream life for sure. Fishing is the best
Would like to see a video on sting rays how you can handle them I have no idea and I’ve been wanting to do some surf fishing
Stingrays are sketchy bro, I steer clear whenever I can. I catch a manta Ray in Tuesday’s episode!
Robert Field can they get you anywhere on top of them kind of like a scorpion tho
Been guiding 38 years. Good at visually weighing fish. That cubera snapper was 42 lbs
What LB test braid and leader were you using? That looks like a Penn Slammer 5500?
Yep. 65 lb braid 60# leader
SCARY is NOT and understatement...this thing is like the stuff of nightmares!!!
Warning: Keep your hands and feet outside the fish at all times.
I agree
lojo.fishing we shot a 56 a few years back in the gulf spearfishing
lojo.fishing 🙈🙈😎🙈🙈✌🏽🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈😃😃😃😂😇😇
lojo.fishing no it's beutiful
you should try going to saboga sialnd it is an island filled with bonita, tuna, mahi, cubera, and grouper all around the beach
That sounds awesome! But I already go to Los Buzos 6 weeks a year and they have all those species
Oh
I want to go there and it easy since I already live in panama I am trying to go in 1 years when I turn 15
Your Panama videos are my favorite. Congrats on the CUBERA. More Panama please!!!
Thanks Keith! 3 more vids dropping by the end of next week
Really like to see you the releasing these beautiful monsters. So many people don't realize the age of those Cubera
14:46 for what y'all wanna see
That was a beast. Killer footage man.
Thanks Kenny!
Loving these trips and series. your living youre life for sure youre my new idol lol
Glad you’re enjoying the content bro! Thanks for following along on the journey
Kill‘n it in Panama again!!!
That place is legendary
Robert Field dude you’re legendary you’re yak fish channel is what pushed me to buy my first kayak
So, Robert, do you have a lot picked out for your trailer down there?
Haha working on it!
Now you've earned that one and it's a fact . Nice catch brah .
Thanks man!
Slayin dragons from the deep! That was way fun to watch. Hat Tip and stay 😎.
Thanks Steve! Those fish are a blast
Hello my name is john am from Dominican republic l love the fishing. God bless you. .
Hello John, me too! Thank you 🙏🏼
That place is FISHING PARADISE! Hands down! And that in Panama! It's like getting a gold fish in Jurassic Park! You have another channel as well? You sound so familiar.
insane! i like how they have different colors then the ones here florida
Yeah, may have something to do with Atlantic vs Pacific
Question... When you go out of the country you rent the kayak or you bring your own kayak. Whether you bring your own kayak how is the procedure with the air line?
Los Buzos has all the kayaks at the lodge
OMG, what a beast of a fish, some fantastic fishing there, I cant wait until next April.
April is a KILLER time to be there!
Great video mate! Keep it up my man!
Thanks Brandon!
Robert Field
Awesome! Congrats. on you PB Cubera on a lure. Loved the video!
Thanks Kenny! She's a fish I'll never forget.
@@YakFishField yeah I said that about a women one time. I finally drank enough that I couldn't remember her name😝
Awesome Cubera, them teeth and scales are massive! On top of catching em on a yak that's just insane!
Yeahhhh man, crazy species and super sketchy pulling it up in the yak
Hi may I know what do you call the wire like sunglass strap you're using? I always wanted to buy one but couldn't identify the wire thing....Thank you and cheers

Idk I don't like flying and can't get out far enough in yak lol maybe one day I'll shoot out there looks amazing
Grieta Fishing! Which is the best month to go fishing at Los Buzos?
It’s good year round! I’m there every January, April and August.
Holy crap dude, that was EPIC!
She was a fish I’ll never forget
It's always great to be in panama right aye
Yes it is!
This might be the most clickbaity title he has ever posted but not clickbait, big scary fish
I tend to avoid the clickbait stuff but sometimes ya gotta play the system. RUclips makes that stuff important with their algorithm, and it’s lame. I felt justified though, that fish WAS scary and did have HUGE teeth hahaah

if you easily get seasick is panama a great place to fish or are there always big waves?
Great to see you back in Panama. Wish i wasnt so far away, alot of travel from Australia
We’ve had clients from Australia, one last week in fact. It’s a lot of travel for sure but it’s worth it!
One day mate. I will definitely come
Love Steve’s hat!!!
Hahaha
Were you going to post any videos from your Alaska trip??
Oh yeah, 4 episodes from there coming soon
Always love the Panama vids!
3 more coming up next!
That was really a big fish you caught
Yep
I always enjoy these Panama videos. I got bit my a mangrove snapper once on the tip of a finger. It was so painful and difficult to get him off. It happened so fast. I always thought it was so that if it falls off the kayak It won’t get away
That was a monster cubera 😊
Amazing catch 🎣
Yeah man! A fish I’ll never forget
Robert Field yeah I bet man, I even got excited just to watch that big cubera 😊
Congrats! Beautiful fish and another great video! ♥️🎣♥️
Thanks mom. Love you!
Hey Rob. Do u see any spearfisherman down there? I’ve seen videos of Panama spearfishing and it looks amazing. According to them, it’s not sharky like Florida or the Caribbean.
It’s not sharks where we’re at, and Los Buzos means The Divers. But the currents are INTENSE so we don’t offer trips. Expert level stuff.
Good job as always Rob
Thanks Collie!

It’s good pretty much year round. Email info@losbuzos.com and they’ll send you all the info to plan it as well as date options. I’m there every January, April and August but May-July, September and February are all great too
I like that giant ball on your reel there, might have to get me one
Not sure what ball you’re referring to
@@YakFishField that ball handle on that reel, I dont know what it is exactly called
That sounds great, I was looking into SG 300 and shimano trevala . I know your book this year down in los buzos maybe next year
Yessir. Well announce 2021 dates around May/June
What size slammer 3 was that? Was that a siegler reel behind you? If so what size?
You should invest in some 550 chord. You have way too many things in your boat that are not secured.
I have plenty of leashes and use them often.
how much do you guys charge for a trip? my graduation is this year and want to plan an awesome fishing trip like this
It’s $1750 all inclusive for a week long trip, that’s EVERYTHING but the flight (meals too). Email info@losbuzos.com and they’ll send you all the info you need to plan a trip.
@@YakFishField ok thanks

Kkkkkk
Welcome back to panama!!!!!
Yeeyee!!
thoose are some serious fish damm ........ i see the penn slammer what size is that and what rod did you mount it on .
6500 and that was one of the lodge’s rod I was borrowing, I forget which. The Penn Bluewater Carnage II is what I put it on back home
I hope I can make it down there before the fishery gets blown out!
AFishBicycle blown out by guys on kayaks? You might have some time

It won’t. That’s why we release these guys. They’re everywhere
Nice fish bro 🎣👊🍻 awesome awesome awesome
Thanks bro!
You’re killing it dude! What songs do you use in your videos? I’m curious about the ones in this video👍 thx in advance
Ummm I used Ariba_Mami from the RUclips library and one from Epidemic Sound, I forget the name
Another excellent video Robert!
So cool. One day I'll be there...
Come on out! Email info@losbuzos.com when you're ready.
On October I'll be around that part of the world, nos vemos muy pronto.
Great videos, i want to start kayaking, and i have my mind set on the vibe sea ghost 130, what do you think about those kayaks?
I think they’re fine for inshore and freshwater
Really only that? Cause ive seen people off of la jolla fishing with those they go pretty deep also, well i guess i wont know unless i buy one right, my budget is kinda tight
Have to call you Beastmaster now. Really nice Cubera. Great catch Robert!
Hahaha thanks man!
Beast cubera and on artificial to boot. Nice!
Yeahhhh buddy! I was stoked
Awesome work Robert
Thanks Perry!
All good
I cant wait to get down there!
