I like the pace of your teaching, not too fast and not INTIMIDATING. For beginners like me, honestly, you're the only one that did not make me feel like I'm dumb and I got the skin part right away. I like how detailed you are with the buttons to push, how to change things. I'm looking out for more of your videos.
This is probably the most in depth I have ever seen Dehancer explained. I really appreciate you going into each of the tools, describing when and how you COULD use them, and, above all else, doing it on footage that just looks simply beautiful. What a valuable video for people hunting down great tools for film emulation in this digital age!
Wow, thank you very much for this video. I've been studying color grading in Davinci Resolve for some months now, and found this tutorial to be exceptionally clear, well-paced, and helpful. I appreciate your work, thanks.
this video is brilliant, really gave me a lot of information for a beginner who been struggling with learning color grading and just wanna say a huge thanks to you man. made my day seeing your video first thing in morning.
Not quite sure I'm ready for Dehancer but I really appreciate this video. Loved hearing your notes on the node tree and the pace of the video was great. Thank you!
Use Dehancer only if u want more vintage look. For professional grading of movies, series, music videos, commercial just use the tools provided by Davinci and DCTL extensions, this will give you the best result
I love this video so much. Best Dehancer Tutorial I've seen so far! I got a question regarding the layer node (Outside)&(Skin). I selected the skin with the dropper and offsetting only the skin node and this worked. However when I offset the (Outside) Node it also effects my skintone. What did I do wrong?
hi - always. Wide Gamut and Dav Intermediate are going to give you the widest space possible to grade in. Better start at the least compressed and work your way down then work with a hand tied behind your back in a smaller colorspace.
Hey so the initial step at the very beginning is telling your timeline color space to be Davinci Wide Gamut/Intermediate. So you’re starting very large. Dehancer does a great job at interpreting the footage. If it’s not working feel free to add a CST before dehancer and do a little experimenting.
Hi @@collinausbury, first thank you for this great tutorial! In your raw workflow you install a node for a cst. But you didn’t used it, right? So u don’t have to use a cst to rec 709 with dehancer? Thank you and regards Roger
Wonderful review. Explaining how dehancer works in detail.
Congratulations!
Dehancer Team
Finally I found the great teacher. Thank you.
For sure!
A perfect masterclass that I took notes of and will forever reference from here on out, a fantastic teacher. Thank you!
So kind. Glad it was helpful to you!
Probably the best tutorial thus far I’ve watched on RUclips for Dehancer
Appreciate it Mike!
Good lord. I'm going to set this video as my browser's homepage. Perfect. Very in-depth but also explained very clearly. THANK YOU!
Haha glad it was helpful brother!

Always looking for ways to streamline the workflow- glad it was helpful

Is your mixer node a parallel node?
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Keep going.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome info! Is there still a benefit to using divinci wide gamut in color management if the footage is only 10 bit log and not raw?

loved this x
love that :)

thanks you so much
Hope it was helpful my man
Yes yes yes oh my god yes
Nice video 😊
Thanks for stopping by!
Very nice video but i want to ask you my clog3 does look good
haven't had a chance to use clog3 - cool thing is they continue updating the plugin by adding camera profiles so you're essentially future proofed
will this setting works with SLOG 3?
What setting would I use if I use a bmpcc4k do I use the same setting as you ?
They have a preset for the BMPCC4K 🫡
@@collinausbury cool so all you do is transform the color with the color transform than you Dehance it
No Dehancer has a 4K profile you can use
I couldn't use the Aspect Ratio shortcuts nor could find it in any other way. =(
It may be that I set those shortcuts up awhile ago! If you go to keyboard shortcuts and search for aspect ratio etc I wonder if it will show!
I can't use the Camera Raw panel it's all gray, im using slog-3 clips from my A7CII, a hint? :(
You didn't shoot in raw
SLOG isn’t RAW unfortunately. It’s definitely flatter tho
Does this work with film convert?
Are you asking about the node structure working with film convert?
get a little confused about node tree,If u use dehancer you dont have to make another node for cst?

Did you experimented allready? Do you use a CST at the end of the nodetree? I‘m also not shure about it. Would like to hear your experience! Thanks

Say I used a colorchart what node would that go on?
I’d put it right after the denoiser node before white balance. 🙏🏼 lmk if issues arise
I want to be your friend.
Solid af bro
💪🏼 thank you sir!
Can you made this node tree for download?🥹 I would love to have it🙌
holobirdfilm.gumroad.com/l/wwjzb here you go
