Well done! I like the variety of images you showed and the flexibility of Dehancer to achieve different looks. A lot of the Dehancer demos go for a vintage look where you show you can get a more modern, yet filmic look.
This is super cool feedback because that's exactly what I was aiming to show - Dehancer doesn't just have to be only super vintage looking! Thanks for the comment!
It's a great plugin, I just downloaded the next beta version and really liking some of the added presets for grain/halation/bloom etc. Also I'd love to see some of your music video work man!
Subscribed! I’m a photographer and I like my filmic edits and I can’t seem to translate it to videos so I hope you can continue to show your process… ❤
So glad you liked the video man! Is there anything specific you'd like to see in a follow up video? And I might try throwing some iPhone footage into the plugin to see how it does, that would be cool!
Good day. At the tail end of your node tree, if you did not use the Lut before connecting to Dehancer, then what would your CST have for it's output gamma and color space (details)?
This is an amazing video and I love your color grade look! One question. How much color correcting and black/white/expo/sat do you usually change before looking at dehancer. Mine looks was off. Thanks! Hopefully I can figure it out it looks great
Thanks so much for the comment! So I'm actually planning on releasing another follow up video on Dehancer where I cover more color correcting and those kinds of decisions, but I will say that for the most part, there are fairly minimal color corrections in most of the grades. A HUGE part is getting your exposure right in camera, having a camera that can shoot 10 bit color, and then getting your color management 100% correct within DaVinci - if those things are all correct it's so much easier to grade footage. That being said if those things are all still correct and there is a lot of color correction needed, there are some key takeaways that we could probably cover on another video. I'll keep this in mind for the future!
It’s fantastic! Is it possible for you to share some of the video clips you used in the video? It’d be great if they can be used as practice materials !
Great question, so under the color settings at the project level, I have the color science set to DaVinci YRGB, timeline color space set to DaVinciWG/Intermediate, and output color space set to either Rec709 2.4 or Rec709-A
Your grades are amazing man, everything looked so cool. Would love to see full workflow!
continue making more videos like this, very useful
Finally someone that shows the color management! This is the dehancer tutorial I've been looking for
So glad to hear that! There are some really good Dehancer tutorials out there so glad you found this one helpful!
Beautiful grading, Torrey! Can't wait to see more of your experiments with Dehancer 😉
Thanks so much! I’m definitely looking forward to testing more and making more content 🙌🏼
Bro! Thank you for making this, so awesome ❤
You know it man! Thanks for watching and commenting! Also, I've got some more Dehancer videos coming up in the next month so stay tuned

Terrific video and info, look forward to seeing more 👍🏽
Thank you so much!
I love Dehancer! I have been using it on all of my music videos this year and my clients all been happy with the tones!

That Blue Hour vibe is incredible bro!
So glad you liked it man thank you!!
Fantastic, man! Would love to see more. It would be most impressive if you can get camera phone footage to look close to this. Ha!

Wow nice grading.. thanks for sharing. New friend here.
Really appreciate the feedback man! Thanks for stopping by the channel!
can you tell the white balance settings you had in your camera for the first blue color tone video?

How do you have the project configured for dehancer?
Great question, so under the color settings at the project level, I have the color science set to DaVinci YRGB, timeline color space set to DaVinciWG/Intermediate, and output color space set to either Rec709 2.4 or Rec709-A
What lut did you use for the slog3 to rec709 conversion?
It's pretty common that I'll use one of Matteo Bertoli's Luts, check his stuff out he's also a RUclipsr/Filmmaker!
Why do you use this as opposed to a cst?
