I always liked Daisy over Peach because she's more of a tomboy. She's just so much more of a fun, energetic character to me.
Peach never really felt different from most princess archetypes, but Daisy always seemed like more the type to save HERSELF.

RoachDogg jr. she’s known as the Flowery tomboy. She has much different powers than peach in the sports and party games, she isn’t a damsel in distress, and she’s a lot more energetic and sporty. Don’t even get me started on mario strikers that really displays her personality. She’s the type to save herself, and will actually speak her mind. One of her idle animations is her swinging her hips real sassy like. How’s that for personality? Smash just can’t show it because she’s an echo fighter.

There is some counter play to Peach/Daisy final smash.
If you mash A, input directions, while the frame is still up, It's possible to eat the peaches/daisies and cancel sleeping all together. That, and it can heal you.
I don't know how reliable this is, but it works for me.
