I must admit, I once did a run of this mission with everyone allied against you and with one added extra sultan and caliph (so it was 1 v 7) and that was literally the worst SHC experience in my entire damn life LMAO. The micro and positioning of everything had to be perfect for victory there.
What I'm doing on this mission is that I recruit 15-20 macemans and kill early one orange sultan using macemans and my lord. I get part of his money back so I can start building proper castle. Of course the most important part in this mission is still produce as many stone as possible. At the beggining it is worth to go inn + apple orchard as starting bread production my cost us a lot of time and we will start to be attacked very quickly by saladin. When you put proper walls and towers with archers and crossbowmen and secure stone production game is already win for you.
I did it almost the same way except it was my lord and assassins, he acted as bait for the slingers and archers so that assassins can get close enough to do their job.
HOLY HELL!!!!!!!! I've spent time on this mission and failed everytime cause they all gunned for me right off the bat, but with this I might actually stand a chance. Thanks for this :)
For anyone attempting to do this in the future, there is a simple thing that you can do early to protect the quarry area from run up attacks. At the start of the game, train a squad of slaves (5g at mercenary) and set them to dig moats around the quarry area. Since they are cheap you can get a large group to quickly dig water around the area. You can cheese this a little bit more, by starting the salves at the quarry (start at the top of the green and work around the tip, and a wall on the right hand side. Leave the left side of the green area open. The guy on the left does not attack you much and enemies will run all the way around you base because they choose the open path always. So you get to hit them a lot while they work their way around.
Hey this is good info for any situation. The main thing is NEVER rely on taxes and always use the market place to make money. Btw using the mass catapult is always satisfying to watch lol
I usually just kill the nearest sultan right away with units like macemen or assassins (after taking down his archers of course) and use my starting archers plus a few more thanks to the little gold given by the Sultan to defend the quarries. Sultan is useless without stone because of his AIC. Funnily enough, sometimes all the AIs at some point will want to attack you lol, but they end up nullyfing their own attacks because they're not allies.
I've tried some methods, but in most of the cases i've focused on small Population, small castle and as much troops as possible at the stone quarries. It was interesting to see antother method to clear this mission.
I always dig moat in this mission because arabian lors just can’t handle that. That makes it much easier to deal with the slaves from caliph because all archers can be centered to one spot
I wouldn't mind a guide for mission 31 (you vs. three wolves); I skipped that mission but found this one do-able w/o a guide or walkthrough. I didn't use as many quarries or iron mines, but I had a similar strategy. Found myself building five or six square towers to hold off Caliphs, Saladin, and Sultan from attacking my farms, mines, and quarries. Saladin with his siege engines and horse archers were the toughest part.
I'm sorry, I NEVER use negative fear factor. I just don't see it as worth it in my opinion. Sure you get more stuff to sell and units out of it, but they do less dmg and you have to offset the happiness loss somehow. I don't use good fear factor either because you nuke your economy doing that. I find its better to just use full ale and a cathedral for mean taxes and run my economy from there generally speaking.
The problem is that the taxes you earn are not the same every match - it depends on your starting advantage/disadvantage. This match you're at maximum disadvantage, so taxes are godawful here. The other thing about negative fear factor is that it improves both wheat production at your farms AND bread production at your bakers. It's sooooooo goddamn efficient that you can absolutely afford the reduction in military strength. Not using negative fear factor is a gigantic noob move - especially on this map
on god i handled the defense quite well just buy digging a moat nizar style then i just expanded more and more until i could defend the stone quarries with actual walls
Lol you could have simply placed one tower near the stones to defend against the kalifs and one tower on the left side of the stones but a bit higher up and add some crossbow men. Especially in the early game and when the enemies are slowed through the swamp... you only need a handful of crossbows to mow the enemy troops away, no matter what they send (knights included). But you should steadily upgrade the numbers and add some archers, because the enemies will upgrade their forces too and when the knights reach the stairs, it's gona get critical. Also you should try to take out the first sultan as quick as possible (while beeing able to defend everything else against everyone else) so that you can freely build up your economy. Let the other Sultan alive for as long as possible, or you have to deal with a Saladin, who also has build freely his ecnomomy on a better place therefor!
The Saladin attacks are not funny, he has a much better position to build himself up in this game and you don't want to face that too early by dealing with the Kalifs aswell!
Did this mission yesterday lol. What I did was, i spend gold in crossbowmen to defend myself from arabian swordsmen and lots of archer to defend from slaves runs. And then just dig all the stone you can.
i no longer while playing the trials use large square towers. i use the tall watch tower and...using the crowding exploit load them up with 20 archers with a batch of xbows, its far better than building the square tower and ballista
Currently stuck on this mission. I defeated all of the lords save for Saladin and am having a hard time winning. Have you ever considered doing disaster saves like the youtuber Bittersteel does for HOI4?
Jeffenious I dont know whether u are still active in Stronghold Crusader.... I am gonna give a challenge for u.. That is in stronghold crusader extreme you vs 7 wolfs(Death match) in the very first map that shows.. I think it is very difficult can u make it easy and put a video on it . This is a challenge...
You mean the 1v3 against 3 Saladins? That doesn't sound too hard, you got lots of resources and good chokepoints to defend! And early on you have to place down some towers next to the closest Saladin, otherwise he'll win the mangonel war

Bruh!, Just spam run 1-2 lords at the start and things get easy xD

I just noticed that some of these scenarios start in the 17th century and I'm like "Didn't everyone have guns by then?"
I was in the 1570s for this one..... think they should have changed their dating mechanic.

I think the dates are progressive from the previous level. So if you spent 100 years in one level, it'll be 100 years in the next.

Yeah taxes usually don't work on trail matches because you're on maximum player disadvantage, which halves the gold amount you gain from taxes
This is the only mission i remained stuck for a week
This mission is one of the most enjoyable missions in the game

I was just looking for some help on this one, thank you so much!!!
WHAT ARE U DOIN, IN MY SWAMP!!!!!
Imagine if they are allies
True, even though they're not allies this mission is still really hard
bruh they act like allies, they do some little skirmishes between themselves, but always main attacks are going on you. This shit is so frustrating
@@TheConCarlosI feel you😂
Shit man I wish these would come out 10 years ago when I was actually playing the game 🥶

Please do "How to beat 41.Thunder Hill."
Will do!
